Sol Arona Tenerife

We have just spent a week here at sol arona the hotel and room was spotless we had a lounge room and it was spacious for the two of us.pool area is nice and there is a terrace above with loungers if you want a bit of peace (there was always beds available in the afternoon by the pool). All the staff were friendly and helpful.hotel is in a good location with plenty of bars and restaurants the harbour is a ten minute walk.Air conditioning is a god send as the weather was really warm and even with it off the rooms are cool. Would highly recommend and we will be back for sure thanks sol arona we had a great time

We’ve just returned following an 11 day stay and had a fantastic holiday. The hotel is beautifully decorated having been recently renovated and exceptionally clean. We could not fault the quality of the food however would agree with other reviews that the food could be warmer but there is a microwave available. Themed nights were available such as Mexican, Chinese and Italian which we enjoyed. The second week the desserts did decline in choice and quality particularly at lunch time however it was probably good for my waistline. We returned to this hotel having stayed in March and had a different style room. Previously we had a Sol room with lounge which was amazing and lots of storage and space however this time had the skyline suite which was 1 big room but felt much smaller. I wouldn’t opt for this room again as not enough storage space for the length of time we were away. The room itself was immaculate and good quality throughout. The adult activities during the day were amazing particularly the soap making, chocolate workshop and aloe Vera gel workshop all which were a welcome break from the sun. The location of the hotel is perfect just a short walk to Los Cris so you can dip in and out of the bars. There’s lots of other bars and restaurants the other direction but up a hill which were nice mostly English bars such as knight-rider bar and Charley's on the corner. The market is fantastic and directly opposite the hotel which id highly recommend. My only criticisms would be the changing facilities as we were unable to pay to keep our room on. There’s a tiny changing room by the pool toilets which isn’t air conditioned and a shower within the pool toilets. Awful set up and soaking wet floor. For the quality of the rest of the hotel this stands out as being an anomaly and usually the hotel has a courtesy room you can book slots for. The temperatures were in the 30”s and we really struggled with this. Only other gripe which wasn’t the case in March was smoking and vaping on sun loungers which wasn’t allowed previously. Smokers did go and smoke by the 1 ash tray in the corner of the outside seating area but this wasn’t the case this time. Again this is more my personal preference not to inhale second hand smoke and I appreciate it may not bother other people. Overall a 5/5 holiday and would highly recommend for families and couples.

We had a fantastic 10-night stay at Sol Arona and honestly couldn’t fault it! The location is fantastic — we couldn’t have chosen a better one. There’s a taxi rank just down the road too, which was really handy if you wanted to head somewhere a little further away. The atmosphere around the hotel was lovely and all of the staff were fantastic. A special mention to the staff outside who ran the water entertainment throughout the day — they were brilliant and really helped create such a fun atmosphere. The lifeguards were also great and always friendly. Our room was lovely, modern and very clean. I was genuinely really pleased with it, especially after reading some of the reviews beforehand. I’ll admit I was a little worried before we arrived, but honestly, please don’t let some of the reviews put you off! We thought the hotel itself was really nice and I would 1000% return. The food was excellent too, with a really good variety of choice. There was something for everyone, even if you’re a fussy eater like me! Overall, I think the hotel offers really good value for money. We had such a lovely 10 nights and would happily stay here again. ☀️🌴

Great stay at Sol Arona Tenerife We stayed at the Sol Arona Tenerife for one week and really enjoyed our stay. We booked a Sol Room with Lounge on a bed and breakfast basis, although other board options are available. The room Our room was perfect for us, and we really liked having the lounge area separate from the bedroom. The bathroom was also a good size and everything was kept clean and tidy. Breakfast & facilities There was a good choice at breakfast, including the usual cereals, sausages, bacon and eggs, as well as fruit, yoghurts and pastries. Lunch is also available to purchase at the hotel, although we chose to eat out most days. The hotel has a self-service shop onsite where you can pick up drinks, snacks and other essentials. There is also a gym, pool tables and a table tennis table. The swimming pool was a little smaller than we are used to, and as we stayed during the school summer holidays, there were quite a lot of children around, which did make the pool area feel busier at times. There is also a separate children’s pool with a waterslide. We found another area with sun loungers slightly away from the main pool, which was much quieter. It was also a lovely spot to relax as you had views towards the mountains and the sea. Staff & cleanliness All of the hotel staff, from reception to the cleaners, were very polite, friendly and welcoming. Every area of the hotel was kept clean throughout our stay. Location The hotel is located in Los Cristianos. The beach is within walking distance, although be warned that it’s a bit of an uphill walk back to the hotel! Down by the beach there are plenty of places to eat, shops and supermarkets. We found a lovely ice cream parlour there which we visited a few times! There are also more supermarkets just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel if you need to pick up anything. We also found a lovely place called Cheeky Monkeys, which we visited a few times for lunch. It’s run by a couple from the UK who made us feel so welcome, and the food was lovely. Playa de las Americas Playa de las Americas was only around an 8-minute taxi ride away, or approximately a 30-minute walk if you’re feeling energetic! We used taxis, which you can order from reception at the hotel, and there were always plenty available around the Golden Mile for our return journey. They cost around €7–€8 each way. There are lots of restaurants, bars and shops in Playa de las Americas. We ate at some lovely restaurants including Hard Rock Cafe, Il Camaleonte Pizzeria, Texas Ribs and Tulum. We also played mini golf at Minigolf Santiago, which had a variety of different courses and was good fun. Airport The hotel is also conveniently located just a 15–20 minute drive from Tenerife South Airport. Overall We really enjoyed our week at the Sol Arona Tenerife. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and we found the location really convenient for exploring both Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas.

We did a week 22-29th Aug. 2 adults and a 4 year old. Absolutely loved it. Hotel is super clean. friendly staff. Amazing entertainment. These guys did not stop! Started at 10:30am and finished at 11pm. Kids club was amazing with lots of activities and the mini disco - my sons highlight "AFTER DINNER ITS MINI DISCO TIME" We found the AI food good. Lots of choice and because we went about 7pm each night and 8am for breakfast we found everything hot (not pipping hot but hot enough to enjoy it!) Each night had a bit of theme too! Seafood,Chinese etc! Lots of choice - lovely salads and fresh fruit daily. My son loved the ice cream machine and sweets area! For sunbeds- Little queue forms around 8:45-9 before they open the door but never had a problem getting a bed especially by the kids pool. I would say more brollies needed for next summer season. So easy to walk to the port and local amenities. Supermarket to your right when you exit the hotel is 1 min walk. Loads of restaurants and we loved shamrocks the Irish pub to watch the footy!! Boat trip to see dolphins and whales - we did 'The Travlin' lady' which was €59 for the three of us and was a 1.5 hour trip with a spot to jump and swim in the sea if you wanted. - the pirate boat also looked good but we enjoyed ours as wasn't too crowded! The room was massive (we had 1022- lounge and bedroom) best shower I've ever had on holiday. Really powerful and bathroom nice size. We got a sea view room out of sheer luck and it was beautiful. The room was cleaned and beds made everyday. New towels if you put them in shower tray. 3 bottles of water when you arrived which was a nice touch. We loved this hotel and hope to return!Xx
