TUI BLUE Atlantic Hills

Booked as a winter break at quite short notice and we selected the hotel based on reviews and location. The hotel is situated in a very pleasant and quiet part of the resort on a hillside overlooking the bay with Mount Tiede to the rear of the hotel. When the weather was good we had a stunning view of the snow capped mountain. Sadly, the national parks were all closed due to the very heavy and unseasonal weather. Plus points. Spotlessly clean, lovely staff across all areas of the hotel. Two super outdoor pools, one infinity pool, small but with great coastal views. Plenty of sun beds available, albeit we only had three out of the seven days when it was warm enough to sit by the pools. Lovely pool bar. Gardens well presented. Very quiet area. Upper deck are 2 jacuzzi’s, with a sun deck area, can be breezy but nice area and if you are located on the 5th floor, a step outside of those rooms. Again, never crowded, always spaces. Top floor 9, jacuzzi and sunbeds. This offers superb views of Mount Tiede. Food was pretty good throughout. Huge choice of breakfast. Dinner varied with a banquet on our first night, which was amazing with a huge selection of sushi, fresh fish, massive grilled prawns and Langoustine. The food overall was a good 7.5/10. Plenty of choices to suit most palates and dietary preferences. This was the first time we had been half board for several year, but it was fine and drinks were all reasonably priced with generous spirit amounts. Overall, a smashing hotel. Room was very spacious, lovely beds, daily maid service.

Lovely hotel high up on a hill above the Tauro Park. Our room was a Junior Suite room on floor 7 which gave amazing Seaview & also the Mountains. Around the pool you can also see Mount Teide. Only negative comment for the room was the lack of storage space considering how large it was? Food was nice and plentiful but i would say average Hotel cuisine - i thought with it being a TUI Blu it would be more imaginative? There are 3 Jacuzzis but none have handrails so very awkward to get in and out! Did the TUI Northwest Tenerife trip which includes visit to Masca which was very nice. Easy to get to La Orotava and La Laguna on the bus - both interesting places. Staff all very nice and helpful - 10/10 to waiter Ramos(George) always cheery and advised great choice for the Red Wine each night. All in all good holiday.

Just arrived back from 1 week at Atlantic Hills. We stayed here last year prior to Tui Blue taking over but need to say the quality of the food was no where near as good as last year. Menu choice was poor - when you see roast beef & Yorkshire pudding on the menu - it’s not Spanish food. Often cold even when dinner started @ 6.30 pm. Breakfast was ok with fresh eggs however cold peas/carrots etc weird offering. Fruit juice from machine like water. 1st morning we had fresh orange juice but following mornings again watery. A L Carte dinner was also very poor and steak arrived well done when asked for medium rare and when advised they bought another one this time just about raw so gave up. I did think the dessert was a GU pudding!! Our Junior Suite was great. Decor very modern. Great swimming pool and super clean - no problem getting a Sunbed. Majority of the staff very friendly and helpful but guy in bar rude and not helpful English TV channels only BBC & Sky, but over 10 German. Advised could use Netflix or YouTube account but not everyone has this. Would only come back if TUI improved the food offering or hotel went back to independent management.

Arrived March 24th with my wife and first impressions were good. Staff very polite and welcoming and the junior suite was a great touch especially with the fantastic balcony. Don't book here if you are expecting a level walk as it is elevated to say the least but a short taxi ride from the promenade. The pool area is great and the pool bar was also good. Unfortunately the food was completely underwhelming and always lukewarm even if you get in bang on 6.30. The dessert station is pitiful and avoided after seeing repetitive offerings day after day. Unfortunately for me the situation with the food would stop me returning or recommending to others and was I believe 3 star at best.

This was our second holiday in Atlantic Hills Here’s our honest thoughts: What a peaceful, tranquil area. The location is higher up than the town which means you get the most beautiful panoramic views of the mountains and the coastline. We were in room 813 which had a sea view. My husband and I couldn’t fault the food. Both breakfast and evening meals had plenty of choice. Tip: download the TUI blue app. It’s a must to keep up to date with activities and to book the à la carte restaurant ‘the culinarium’ My husband and I came to rest and relax but we loved taking part in activities. Cheese and wine tasting, bracelet making, cooking class and much more. HUGE thanks to Maria and the entertainment team👏🏻 Merika you are wonderful at what you do. Thank you Jorje and the restaurant and bar staff. We will be returning because we are always so relaxed here. Just to end on how clean the rooms, hotel and grounds are kept! Excellent standard.
