Arrival - Transfer is around 1hr30mins from the airport. We arrived at the hotel around 21:45 so the restaurant was closed however the hotel had prepared a plate of salad, bread, cheese and fruit for us to enjoy in the restaurant as we were half board guests. Room - We stayed in suite (906) it was clean, spacious and modern but very little storage space. The best part was the stunning views from our balcony of the sea and mountains being on the top floor of the hotel. There is also a jacuzzi and sunbeds on the same floor. Tui blue Activities - We joined the cooking class, wine & cheese tasting and cocktail making, Also the legs, bum and tums and the aqua fitness (all activities need to be booked in advance on the tui blue app) the activities were all good fun! Thanks for the entertainment girls, Jorge and Chef Jeremy. The evening entertainment was perfect for us, there is some sort of live music every night between 21:00 and 23:00 it’s low key but that’s what we like and that’s the norm for TUI blue so if your looking for a big evening program this is not the hotel for you. Food & drink - At breakfast there was a great selection, the food was fresh and was kept topped up. You could get lunch in the pool bar (pizza, burgers, nachos, fries and salads) the food was delicious. A pizza and fries was around €18. The evening buffet also had a great selection of hot and cold options and desserts, they also had a whippy ice cream machine! We enjoyed a meal at the a la carte restaurant the food was delicious (menu can be found on the tui blue app) , the service and attention to detail was top notch. Big thanks to Jorge the waiter for taking care of us. We loved the cocktail offering, they were always present so beautifully, most cocktails are around €9. Facilities - Gym is small but had enough equipment to do a work out both free weights, machines and cardio machines. Can’t comment on the spa as we didn’t go down to the facilities or have any treatments during our stay, however we did note that you do have to pay to use the facilities indoor pool, sauna and steam room it’s not free for guests. There is an lovely indoor bar area were the evening entertainment is, a games/ library room and a room with a pool table so lots of options indoors to sit and read or play a game if the weathers bad. Throughly enjoyable 5 night stay we will definitely be back in the future!

Our third visit. Rooms are good with lovely showers. The pool is heated and no scramble for beds. Food in my view is good. Always something to tempt. The a La carte restaurant which you get once is excellent. My steak was perfect. There are fitness classes for those that want some exercise and a great little gym. Yes the place is quiet but I think that’s great. Brilliant views and out of town but close enough to walk. Yes not the place for you if you are not mobile. Staff are overall excellent. The lifeguard is a bizarre chap and never really keeps an eye on you 😂. Overall this place is perfect. It does have a bit of class and no kids so a winner for me. Thank you Atlantic hills. Will be back.

Before we went I read a lot of the reviews regarding food and location, and thought I would give my take. Upon arrival (1am) greeted with glass of prosecco and room pretty amazing. Note over 1 hour transfer from southern airport as northern one just for domestic flights. Huge bed, coffee machine, wet room shower with different types of head. Bed made up each day. Food - no issues at all. Buffet for breakfast and dinner. Food was hot with a chef cooking fried eggs and omelettes in morning and say fish or pork in evening- on a hot plate in front of you. Breakfast- fresh fruit, yoghurt, fried food (sausages etc), scrambled eggs, cheeses, smoked salmon, cold meats, various breads, pastries etc - wanted for nothing. Dinner as well as hot plate you had fish, meats, veggie dishes all in buffet under hot lamps. Two types of soup for starters. Various puddings- cakes, ice-cream. Waiter came and took order for wine - about 20 euros for a bottle of wine. One night you get a la carte which you book via an iPad beside reception. It was ok - not that many veggies with the huge piece of fillet steak. A few carrots perhaps, but again being picky. O Bar- table service and pretty reasonable prices. Was impressed to see them pour Glenfiddich malt free hand for 10 euros for a double double at least. Negroni cocktail was amazing. Large glass of wine about 5 euros. Again no complaints and staff polite. Never used spa but free jacuzzi's. One on top of the hotel. Pool not huge but never busy. Great sunbeds - ones you can sit on edge without them tipping over- or is that just me. Location- we have to remember the island is formed from a volcano so there are hills. You go down to town centre via a park with lots of stairs. Coming back yes you have stairs to climb but not horrendous. Take your time. Despite other comments there are a few shops and restaurants near by. TBH you eat in hotel as part of the deal and have lunch while exploring away in the town or elsewhere. So location not an issue for me- they have to build out from city centre so that means going out and up. There are plenty of hotels far further away than this one. Plus it works off all that wine and lager!!! So in summary hard to find fault fairly with the hotel. Nothing is ever perfect and yes there are steps but not the hotels fault. Staff great, room was amazing, and food was perfectly reasonable. I would go back!
