SO/ Maldives

We've just come back from SO/ Maldives and I'm still smiling about it. Our daughter is little, so I'd braced myself for a complicated holiday — and it was the opposite. She adored the pool, the beach, the sand, and ate happily at every meal. The resort is genuinely toddler-friendly, and having that ease meant we actually got to relax too. The floating lunch was such a treat — the photos don't do it justice. The food throughout was wonderful, and our Water Pool Villa was the kind of place you don't want to leave. But the people made the trip. Ana, our GEM, looked after us so thoughtfully and made us feel completely at home, and Dane was equally lovely. Everyone was warm and genuinely happy to help. Such positive vibes all around. We'll be back — thank you for a perfect family getaway.

An outstanding stay at SO/ Maldives. We booked the Water Pool Villa for a family trip and it exceeded expectations on every front — the villa, the lagoon setting, and the sheer consistency of the service. Travelling with a toddler can be a gamble, but this resort handled it beautifully. Our little one was happiest in the pool and on the sand, and the kitchen was accommodating with her meals without us ever having to push. The floating lunch was a highlight — beautifully executed and genuinely memorable. Food across the resort was excellent throughout. Special mention to Ana, our GEM, who anticipated everything before we asked, and to Dane, whose warmth made a real difference. The whole team carries a positive, unhurried energy that's rare. We're already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended, especially for families with young children.

We had an amazing stay for 4 nights in the 2story overwater villa. The views and stunning and the staff is great. Our host Wifaq was great with anything we needed.

We had the most incredible stay at SO/Maldives. I was a little nervous travelling solo with my 2 year old, but that quickly changed to a sense of comfort upon our arrival. We were greeted by Ana, our GEM, and that she truly is! Ana was allocated to us for the length of our stay. She was beyond amazing. She was incredibly responsive, helpful, kind, warm, welcoming and she did absolutely everything to make our stay wonderful. My daughter could not stop talking about her, asking for her and smiling every time she'd see her. Ana was attentive to all our needs and made us feel so comfortable and welcome. We were so lucky to have her! She certainly made our Maldives experience even more magical. I did have some concerns about the fogging and misting that occurs on the island to keep mosquito's away, in particular, I did not want to expose my daughter to those chemicals. The manager was so understanding and accommodating. We were upgraded to the water villa given that area is not exposed to the fogging and for that I was so incredibly grateful. We were also told when it would be occurring so we could stay indoors while it happened. The resort and the island are beautiful. My daughter loved alternating between the beach and the pool and making use of the water equipment available to us. The food at all the restaurants was delicious and the staff went above and beyond to cater to our specific dietary requirements. In particular, shout out to the chefs at Hadaba who spoiled us with delicious food that my daughter loved!! It is very pricey, I wasnt sure what to expect, but that definitely caught me by surprise. An all inclusive package that has meals included would definitely be my recommendation. All the staff were so kind, helpful, welcoming and friendly! Every single person we met made our experience even better. Another highlight was kids club at The Nest. Loona and Rachael were so warm and welcoming and my daughter loved going to explore the different toys and activities they had. Thank you for an amazing experience. Maldives has always been my dream destination and I am so grateful to have lived it with my little one.
