Hotel Club Sungo by Pickalbatros

We loved the hotel and the staff overall were amazing! Unfortunately we were only there for 4 days and could have quite easily stayed longer. The facilities are brilliant, stuff to do all day, or just chill by the pool. We used the spa for some massages, and they were amazing!! Omar in the main restaurant looked after us everyday and was always there if we needed anything Food was ok, but the a la carte restaurants are not a la carte as we know them, they're just buffets like the main restaurant. The only disappointment was quality of drinks, specifically the cocktails. Pre mixed and very sweet, which was a shame. The water park was excellent and yes the pools were cold but after 5 mins they were absolutely fine. The Ali Baba shop was good and we had fun with the staff haggling the prices down Overall we would go back, and we would recommend it to others, but would hope the drinks improved first

We had lots of fun at this hotel as a family of four - but there are some creases it needs to iron out… The Great - The animation team are the best we’ve ever experienced. They worked tirelessly to put smiles on people’s faces, with activities and games adults and kids could play all day - darts, archery, foam parties, candy floss machine by the pool - you name it, they offered it and with aplomb! - The room had a HUGE terrace overlooking the main pool. It was a fantastic space to sit and chill (and hang wet clothes!!) - The two padel courts were fantastic. Bookable by the half hour but free to use and always available at some point in the day. My husband and son learned to play and used the courts every day. They played tournaments with other guests - great fun. - Plentiful pools - there are small quiet ones everywhere, as well as a large central pool where the bar is, table tennis and upbeat music. So you can choose noise or quiet as you see fit. - The decor is beautiful and the gardens absolutely stunning. The staff work really hard on these and it pays off. The best rooms are those overlooking the gardens and main pool. Definitely ask for those. - Crepes by the pool were delicious, as was the patisserie food. - Pizzas by the aqua park were delicious but the opening hours for this are very limited. - Free shuttle bus into town was fab. The creases to iron out… - All but one outdoor pool have no heating so are extremely cold outside of the summer months. The kids (and us) went in - but only for a few minutes at a time. There is one heated outdoor pool but it’s horribly hot (38 degrees) so bath temperature and too hot when the sun is out. They need some options that sit between freezing and boiling! - I was grossed out by the lack of showers near pools. There were two showers near the giant pool that I never saw used - and none by the heated pool at all. The hotel needs to put some showers in by this pool as it’s totally unhygienic. - Despite the EasyJet Holidays listing saying this hotel as tennis courts, it does not. My family enjoyed padel instead but it was a shame as we brought all our tennis stuff. - The reception experience was dire. The check in was chaotic (someone even tried to offer us another guest’s passport as they’d lost track of who was who). I think was compounded by the fact our EasyJet rep partly attempted to check us in, and partly the staff. More broadly, whenever we asked someone on reception for something, they had to find at least two other people to help! It seems like everyone has a specific job and can’t step outside of this. - There is only one main bar to use in the day so depending on which pool you are in, it’s a very long walk to grab a drink. There’s a second bar over by the aqua park but it’s soft drinks and coffees only - and it’s a good five/six min brisk walk away from the main hotel past the sports pitches. - The shop is extremely expensive - avoid if you can and instead pop into town to buy snacks/bits - Despite being all inclusive, the ice creams (magnum style and/or cornetto style) were pretty poor and only available from the main pool bar. So again, see above issue. They were filled once a day and ran out within two hours max. The hotel needs to improve the variety and provide many more of these.

We have just left Club Sungo after a truly wonderful family holiday. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and luxurious. There are over 16 swimming pools to choose from, and a fantastic water park that our two children loved. There is a variety of sports onsite including padel courts, basketball courts, football pitches, table tennis and there are also activities organised throughout the day at the main pool such as archery, aqua Zumba, dance and darts. We stayed in a family room and it was ideal for us. Our children had a separate room attached to ours so we had lots of space. Everything in the room was clean and comfortable. The staff at Club Sungo are amazing and are always ready to help. Aziz in the restaurant was particularly friendly and helpful. He really looked after us throughout our stay. The food in all the restaurants is very good, but the Moroccan is especially good as you would expect. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning with my family again.

From the very start this place is incredible. Staff always friendly & will so absolutely everything they can to make your stay perfect. Food is great with lots to choose from. The cafe downstairs has amazing pastries and coffee. Always nice and quite around the rooms & isn’t crowded wouldn’t know there full as the place is so big. Location is perfect not far in taxi for the centre. Waterpark is insane so much to do & so many pools the kids will never get bored. If you’re thinking of choosing here to stay you will NOT be disappointed. Best place I’ve stayed in. Atmosphere is perfect always calm & relaxing. Everywhere is very clean always someone cleaning or water/gardening. Photographer guy who always wears the bright pink is fantastic definitely recommend having photos taken. The ones he has taken will be cherished for years to come :) thank you. Thank you for the most amazing stay I would love to come back one day. Fantastic value for money x

This was our second visit. I found reception helpful I asked for a change of room because of small hanging space for clothes I was refreshing my wife was able to persuade them During our 10 night stay I found the reception friendly and courteous. One even called me Mr Change because I was always asking for smaller denominations in Moroccan currency. Animation staff were fantastic springing and day, they were very inclusive not missing g is out even though we are elderly. Mouse and No who work for Fram need a mention as does the new girl Hibe can't remember all the it makes supportive me. All staff work non stop even though it was Ramadan Our cleaner (Kasheda)block 5 kept our room spotless all public areas were as well. There was Plenty of variation to food in main restaurant. The meat could be a little tough but on this visit there was plenty of Prawn and alternative mains. The drinks are acceptable and the wine is quite good. The water park looks great but not for me Once again other guest s were great Thank yo to hotels management,staff and animation team for making our stay great
