The Patio Suite Hotel

For a nearly 5 star hotel and for the price This was a total let down. Food choice very poor and very limited with spaghetti and rice the main dish served each night with either pork or or fish. Floors in apartment were very dirty only noticeable once you wore a pair of white socks. Soles were black within 2 mins nothing to do at hotel poor entertainment for children . Definitely not be bck.

We had a lovely week at this hotel. Apartment was excellent with its extended rooftop area. The pools were both great, however they could have supplied more sunbeds, as some people did like to ‘put down towels’ and then not appear for a few hours. There were clubs for the little kids, but nothing for the teens - it might have been better if there had been a few games of water polo? Otherwise the hotel is great, the staff lovely and the food varied.

Patio Suite Hotel – Our Stay | July 2026 ☀️🇵🇹 We stayed at the Patio Suite Hotel from 24th July, after swapping from our original hotel because the reviews were getting absolutely horrendous 😬. I wasn’t happy about going there, so we managed to change to the Patio Suite Hotel — and I’m SO glad we did! Overall, we had a really lovely stay. The hotel is clean, spacious and well maintained, our room was a one-bedroom apartment on the second floor. The apartments are HUGE and there was loads of space, which was perfect for us. Staff: were all so kind and helpful everyone was always happy to help. Room: Water is left in your room every day, which is a nice touch. Towels are changed every 2–3 days, but if you want fresh towels every day, you just need to ask. Evening Entertainment: If you’re travelling with young children, just be aware that there wasn’t a kids’ disco or children’s entertainment in the evenings while we were there. There was live music around 3 nights a week, along with a dance show one evening. So if you’re looking for lots of evening entertainment for the little ones, this may be something to consider. Pools: There are two pools. We mainly stayed around the smaller main pool and didn’t really use the other one. The larger pool is accessed by going out through one door and entering through another, so it felt a little separate. Both pools were clean and there was plenty of space. If you wanted a sun lounger on the grass, the pool attendants were really helpful and would sort one out for you — you just had to ask. ☀️ Food: If you’re someone who eats most things, you’ll probably be absolutely fine. There was fresh pizza every night, along with a fish option, meat option and vegetarian option. That said, if you’re a really fussy eater, you might struggle a little. I didn’t think there was a massive selection compared with some all-inclusive hotels I’ve stayed at. Beach & Shuttle: The shuttle bus to the beach was brilliant! We went to Falésia Beach, and it was only around a 5-minute journey on the shuttle. You do need to book the shuttle the day before to guarantee your place. The beach itself is absolutely beautiful, BUT… be warned! 😂 There are what feels like a million stairs down to it! Once you’re at the bottom, there aren’t any toilets or cafés, so make sure you’re prepared before heading down. There is a café at the top with one toilet, and the food there was actually lovely… although the toilet was absolutely bogging. Smoking: One thing that did annoy me was that there isn’t a dedicated smoking area outside. So, if you’re sitting outside, be prepared to have smokers around you, which I found a little annoying. Location: The hotel is in a fairly quiet area, but there are a few restaurants nearby and a grocery shop just around a 5-minute walk away, which was really handy. It’s around 30 minutes from Faro Airport by taxi, or roughly 40 minutes by bus. We found Uber was our best friend while we were there 😂, but if you need a taxi, reception will happily call one for you. The Old Town is around 20 minutes away and was really busy when we visited, especially in the evenings, with plenty of nightlife if that’s your thing. ⭐️ Overall: We were really pleased we made the decision to swap hotels. The Patio Suite was clean, spacious and had a lovely relaxed feel. Overall we had a really enjoyable stay and I’d be happy to return.

We stayed for 11 nights with our 3 teenagers - loved it. Spacious apartment overlooking a football pitch (where professional teams train) which we enjoyed watching from the balcony. We had breakfast each day which we enjoyed, but sorted our own lunches and dinners. The hotel shuttle bus was excellent - we went to each beach twice. Our favourite was Oura. We ate out at a couple of local restuarants which were only about 5 mins walk away. Two supermarkets nearby which we could walk to easily (both within 10 mins walk). Evening entertainment was variable but some of the music was excellent.

We have just returned from an 8 night stay. The best food we’ve ever had on an all inclusive holiday, definitely quality over quantity. You won’t go hungry in this hotel. Also the restaurant and bar staff were so friendly and welcoming. Rooms are large and airy, beds not very comfortable. All areas of the hotel and pool are very clean. The hotel is in a quiet area although on a busy road but if you’re wanting nightlife it’s a taxi ride away. The bus service to the beach and reservation of beds/parasols is a huge positive, we used it twice. We will certainly be back. Thank you to all of the staff for making our holiday so enjoyable.
