The Patio Suite Hotel

We have just returned from our recent visit to the Patio Suite and once again everything was perfect except perhaps the weather which was cool and overcast for quite a few days but it didn’t stop us from getting out and about especially with the wonderful service provided by the shuttle buses. We visited Albufeira, Loulé, Olhas de Áqua and MAR shopping outlet on the shuttle bus. We enjoyed lovely walks in the surrounding area and through Pine Cliffs golf resort. The hotel staff can’t be praised enough - they are all so friendly and helpful from reception, to dining room staff to bar staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. There is not much in the way of evening entertainment but there were musicians on two nights and a brilliant karaoke night on Fridays. Rooms are so spacious - bedroom, bathroom and lounge/kitchen/diner so you don’t feel cramped. Food selection was amazing - such a variety. You certainly won’t go hungry at this hotel! Coffees were fabulous and the wine was plentiful and not too shabby either!!! We love this hotel. If you are looking for a nice relaxing holiday I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. We’ve been before and will certainly be back again.

We had an excellent week in The Patio Suite Hotel. The apartment was large, well-equipped and very clean. All of the staff we met during our stay were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel felt relaxed and hospitable.

We stayed in a suite and, unfortunately, the experience was pretty disappointing overall. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, and much of the furniture and kitchen setup felt cheap and worn. The stove knobs aren’t labeled, so we literally had to turn on all the burners just to figure out which one we needed. There’s also no dishwasher, and the hotel makes it very clear that housekeeping won’t wash dishes. So if you plan to use the kitchen at all, be prepared to spend part of your vacation doing dishes. The kitchen was also missing basic items like a measuring cup and a pasta strainer. The bathroom situation was inconsistent. On the first day, the shower barely got warmer than tepid. The next day it swung the other direction and was scalding hot. The “heated” pool definitely wasn’t heated adequately—no one was using it, and it was easy to see why once you dipped a toe in. Be cautious because there is a lip by the room doors that I tripped on, also the sidewalk outside was poorly maintained and I tripped there too. The location is decent in that the beach is within walking distance, but the views aren’t great. Our balcony was large, but it just overlooked the road, and it was extremely loud. We had to use a noise machine and earplugs to sleep. On top of that, several guests were very rowdy at night, which didn’t help the noise situation. In terms of amenities, don’t expect many creature comforts. There was no conditioner or tissues provided—just a single product that served as both shampoo and body wash. We were only given two bath towels and two hand towels, and they only replace them every other day, so they were pretty well used by the time we got fresh ones. The one bright spot was breakfast. It was good, and the woman working the omelette station was especially friendly and made the mornings a bit more enjoyable. Overall, between the uncomfortable room, lack of amenities, noise, and inconsistent facilities, it just didn’t feel like a relaxing stay.

Fabulous hotel. Amazing people. Super clean. Apartment was massive with fabulous views. Will definitely return.

We are just ready to leave the patio suite hotel and we was pleasantly surprised . The hotel is lovely and clean and the rooms are absolutely huge and cleaned every day with fresh towels every day. All the staff restaurant and bar staff down to the cleaners are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food is lovely there's something for everyone. We was worried that the hotel is a little distance away to the main town of albufeira but our worry was short lived as there in a complimentary shuttle bus that takes you down everyday which was brilliant. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday just to chill out and relax this hotel is for you. We will be back. Many thanks to everyone at the patio suites.
