Pestana Fisherman Village - Boutique Hotel

We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel, as part of a one week Easy Jet holiday package from the UK. We had taxi transfer from the airport and were warmly greeted by the friendly and professional hotel staff. The room was clean and comfortable with one armchair, a safe, small fridge, good Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The location was excellent and very central, with many small restaurants immediately around the hotel, and the harbour less than one minute walk away. Despite a busy evening scene of people dining on outdoor tables below our hotel room, the double glazed windows offered very effective sound proofing. The continental breakfast offered a variety of food and was perfectly acceptable. The tourist circular open top bus goes from Camara De Lobos to Funchal every 30 minutes.

I had hoped to have a week at this hotel in late May. I emailed hotel to explain that my husband was still recovering from cancer treatment and most often went to bed very early. I asked if they could allocate us a quiet room please? The hotel did not even think my request worthy of a reply. I was so very disappointed.

From arrival to departure our experience was excellent. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the stsff. The rooms are very clean and some are laid out around little courtyards. The pool is great for a cool down and is clean. The breakfast caters for everyone and is excellent quality . Fresh every morning and a vast variety. The location is perfect for visiting the island with plenty of restaurants very close bye. Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be going back.

Stayed at Fisherman Village for 2 nights while staying in Madeira. The Village is full of life and this hotel has A central location. The breakfast is cozy and delicious with everything you need. Had dinner at Pier One restaurant and had a wonderful grilled fish.

My wife and my self booked this fantastic hotel for a short break it was our 48th wedding anniversary and my wife’s birthday we went out for the day and when we got back to our room there was a bottle of cava and a lovely little note wishing Jayne a happy birthday such a beautiful thought The hotel is in brilliant spot so close to many restaurants and the staff are amazing Would definitely recommend Many thanks Martyn and Jayne Fry
