Pestana Fisherman Village - Boutique Hotel

Stayed at Fisherman Village for 2 nights while staying in Madeira. The Village is full of life and this hotel has A central location. The breakfast is cozy and delicious with everything you need. Had dinner at Pier One restaurant and had a wonderful grilled fish.

My wife and my self booked this fantastic hotel for a short break it was our 48th wedding anniversary and my wife’s birthday we went out for the day and when we got back to our room there was a bottle of cava and a lovely little note wishing Jayne a happy birthday such a beautiful thought The hotel is in brilliant spot so close to many restaurants and the staff are amazing Would definitely recommend Many thanks Martyn and Jayne Fry

We strongly recommend this lovely, charming Boutique Hotel in the heart of the small village of Camara de Lobos. The room, the breakfast and the service were outstanding. Stayed at Pestana Fisherman Village for nine nights in November 2025 travelling by myself and had a great time. I had the single Cozy Room and that is exactly what it was, just really cozy and comfortable. Loved that decoration idea of a print of an Ernest Hemingway letter to Marlene Dietrich on the headboard of the bed. The lobby is perfectly designed and decorated and makes you want to linger which I often did enjoying a glass of Madeira wine. The staff is very friendly and attentive, the shower head in my bathroom had to be fixed and it was taken care of immediately. The village of Câmara de Lobos is a quaint little place with some welcoming bars and restaurants and the hotel is located right in the middle of it all and it was nice to be able to choose between spending the evening there or in more vibrant Funchal. Would definitely love to come back here!

We stayed here for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year. The location is excellent, we had one room facing the courtyard and one facing the street which was a bit noisy but rooms and bathrooms were great, loads of great restaurants right out of the door, lovely walk along the prom into funchal. The service was excellent and all the staff were friendly and so helpful. serviced rooms every day. I am gluten free and they have some options for me at breakfast. Breakfasts were excellent. Lots of lovely touches like gifts in the room for xmas and new year. There is a pool table and a nice lounge area in the reception. The pool was not heated - this would be a great addition as even though it was 19-20 degrees most days the pool was very cold so we didn't use it. There were a few minor issues with the rooms which although did not hinder our stay could be fixed (we reported leaking shower and bathroom fan didnt work). We were told the fridges in the rooms didn't work at check in - this meant that we couldn't buy fresh milk or keep fruit in the fridge for example - would be good to get this resolved as well. But these things didn't impact the well deserved 5 star review.
