Cape Sounio - A Grecotel Resort to Live

Náš třetí návrat, poloviční cena přilákala i ostatní a tak byl hotel překvapivě plný i na konci října. Hotel je pořád bezchybný, nově upravená pláž a okolí bazénu. Snídaně velmi bohaté, večeři jsme letos nebrali. Mám oblíbené dvě taverny v okolí - Sysrtaki a Maridu. Večeříme raději dříve, jinak hotel určitě má i večerní bufet skvětý. Moře bylo krásně teplé i na konci října, 24 stupňů. V hotelu je krytý vyhřívaný bazén, nebyl třeba. Výhledy na Posseidonův chrám se neomrzí, 40 minut jízdy k jezeru Vouliagméni, spousta možností na pěší výlety v okolí, hotel leží na hranici národního parku Sounio.Bungalovy jsou krásně položeny a odhlučněny, dostatek suchých osušek na pláži i u bazénu, na pláži pořád dostatek lehátek. Dva dny dokonce nefoukalo, což je na Souniu neobvyklé. Velmi příjemný prodloužený víkend, letenky Praha-Atény za 3 tisíce, na příští květen už dokonce jsou v prodeji za 2500,-. Mám zase cukání na další prodloužený víkend.

I was at the hotel with my company for an offsite - the hotel is stunning, the rooms are very clean, it was very quiet and I was able to get great sleep, and food is amazing. What impressed me the most was the impeccable service. I had some issues figuring out how to use the room phone and I was so happy I had the whatssap contact of the team and they were very responsive and solution oriented. I was also happy that it was a single account as I have been in other hotels where they would add you into a group chat and the experience seemed disjointed and very chaotic, while here, the team did not message unless it was to reply and the experience was consistently helpful, fast and just very customer friendly. I will definitely be back by myself, phenomenal service.

We had a dreamy 3 day stay at gorgeous Cape Sunio. We stayed in a lovely one bedroom pool villa (no. 219). Very private with a spectacular view from the terrace in the front out across the bay towards the temple of Poseidon and a secluded pool in a garden to the side. The villa was spacious, stylish and immaculate, both in decoration and cleanliness. Supremely comfortable bed and very efficient and quiet AC. Delicious buffet breakfasts with a wide choice, beautifully presented and all very fresh. Dinner in the ALC The Restaurant was seriously good, and we also enjoyed our dinner at the Aegean Grill next to the very pretty pool. Fabulous views from the beach with lovely cabanas, with a swimming area protected by a breakwater. Service was impressively attentive in all departments. The whole resort is beautifully tended, with immaculate lawns and rockery gardens. It has a very peaceful setting in an undeveloped bay surrounded by hills. Hard to believe that it is only an hour from the bustle of Athens!

Newly renovated breathtakingly stunning hotel! Absolute luxury and 5 star service. I will always return here when in Athens. Thank you to Panagiotis and Mr Ktenas for making my stay truly special. I can’t wait to return!

We recently spent time at Cape Sounio Grecotel and overall had a very positive experience. Although our trip didn’t begin exactly as planned and there were a few initial issues, they were addressed quickly and professionally. A special thank you to Georgia, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant and relaxing stay—her care and attention truly made a difference. The resort grounds are absolutely beautiful, offering a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. While the location is somewhat remote, it adds to the sense of tranquility . The Temple of Poseidon is just a short drive away, and there are also some lovely fish taverns nearby worth visiting. What stood out most during our stay was the exceptional level of service. Every member of staff we encountered was kind, professional, and genuinely helpful—it’s quite rare to find a property where everyone is so consistently warm and welcoming. We would especially like to recognize Adriana, Aphrodite, and Kristos in the breakfast dining area, who made each morning a pleasure, as well as Magda at the spa, with whom i had a lovely conversation.  Elpida was also so sweet. A heartfelt mention goes to our dear Panos, a young man who truly embodies the spirit of Greek hospitality and kindness. His warmth and authenticity left a lasting impression on us.
