Cape Sounio - A Grecotel Resort to Live

Náš třetí návrat, poloviční cena přilákala i ostatní a tak byl hotel překvapivě plný i na konci října. Hotel je pořád bezchybný, nově upravená pláž a okolí bazénu. Snídaně velmi bohaté, večeři jsme letos nebrali. Mám oblíbené dvě taverny v okolí - Sysrtaki a Maridu. Večeříme raději dříve, jinak hotel určitě má i večerní bufet skvětý. Moře bylo krásně teplé i na konci října, 24 stupňů. V hotelu je krytý vyhřívaný bazén, nebyl třeba. Výhledy na Posseidonův chrám se neomrzí, 40 minut jízdy k jezeru Vouliagméni, spousta možností na pěší výlety v okolí, hotel leží na hranici národního parku Sounio.Bungalovy jsou krásně položeny a odhlučněny, dostatek suchých osušek na pláži i u bazénu, na pláži pořád dostatek lehátek. Dva dny dokonce nefoukalo, což je na Souniu neobvyklé. Velmi příjemný prodloužený víkend, letenky Praha-Atény za 3 tisíce, na příští květen už dokonce jsou v prodeji za 2500,-. Mám zase cukání na další prodloužený víkend.

Our experience at Grecotel was absolutely perfect. The room was very comfortable, the food was delicious and the facilities were very well maintained I have to say the stay is made total magic by the staff. They are the heart of the hotel. It was our first trip abroad with our 8 month old son and we were nervous about managing away from home but the staff took care of us so well. They delivered led fresh baby food to us on request and accommodated anything we needed. They made us feel very welcome. A special thank you to Aphrodite and Ariana who greeted us each morning and Antonis who made sure our baby had everything he needed at breakfast. Dimitiris looked after us at the pool almost everyday and took great care to interact quietly when our baby was snoozing! Simona by reception was an incredible help to answer all our questions and manage any requests. The grounds and landscape are breathtaking so thank you to the team who look after all the flowers. We will be back! Thank you for an incredible experience.

An unforgettable experience at Cape Sounio. Elegance, luxury, and breathtaking surroundings come together perfectly, but what truly made the evening exceptional was the music. The entertainment was simply outstanding—every performance created an incredible atmosphere that elevated the entire experience. The musicians brought energy, sophistication, and emotion, making the night feel truly magical. Words hardly do it justice; what I say will never be enough to describe how remarkable it was. A flawless experience from beginning to end.Cape Sounio is the definition of elegance. The setting is stunning, the service impeccable, and the music absolutely phenomenal. The entertainment created an unforgettable atmosphere that transformed a beautiful evening into a magical experience. No words can truly capture how exceptional it was. Highly recommended.

It is hard to overemphasise how well staffed this hotel is: the pool and beach areas have a conspicuously big team of lifeguards on duty, making it feel very safe; the reception and concierge areas are so well manned that in 7 days I didn't once see a queue; golf buggies are immediately on hand for journeys around the resort when requested; and despite the busyness of the restaurants at peak hours the discreet but high volume of staff meant there was never a delay and service was attentive. At a time when some luxury hotels are cutting corners on staffing, it was very refreshing to see this investment in personnel. The same points extend to the housekeeping and groundskeeping teams - the hotel was extremely well maintained and the landscaping and planting is perfection. It is also evident that the staff take a real pride in their hotel, in the local area, and in Greece. We were impressed by how proactive and thoughtful the employees are, often looking to anticipate what we or our children might need assistance with. And the standard of English spoken by the staff is also excellent. The location of the hotel, on the coast but in striking distance of Athens, as well as near to the local town of Lavrio, is perfect. The kids club facilities are not large, but this is more than made up for by the fantastically caring staff. The spa is good if a little overpriced. The unobtrusive but high quality live music in the evenings was great. On our previous stay we had found the Family Room adequate but a little cramped for our family of 5. Admitted the Family Apartment we stayed in this time was significantly more expensive, but it was also impressively spacious, with two huge bathrooms, a large and very pleasant balcony, and two comfortable bedrooms. All of the furnishings were in a good state of repair.
