Stayed here a few years ago, it has gone completely downhill since then. This could at most be classed as a 4 star and only because of the amenities. Even then, the restaurants are poor and service is nowhere near what it was in the past. And it’s such a shame because it has the best location with the most amazing views, so it’s sacrilege that the hotel doesn’t maximise on this. Just a few gripes: Taxi I booked to pick us up from the airport cancelled 24 hours beforehand - seriously???? Two small bottles of water at the start of my stay, you then have to pay for water for every other day that you stay. I paid €9 for a small bottle of water and an iced latte. Scandalous. Room was just ok, bed was comfy, but the balcony was so run down and the chairs looked like they would collapse just by me looking at them. No one to serve me a drink in the one restaurant that was open at 4pm. Dirty plates and chairs on the stunningly beautiful terrace. Breakfast was so average, more 3 star than 5. I didn’t use the pool or the beach bar - dread to think what’s become of those. As I say, such a shame as we’ve had a beautiful stay previously and the owners are wasting a wonderful opportunity. Please take this feedback as a chance to improve!

I rarely write reviews, but after what my family endured at this hotel from 23–28 May 2026, I feel it is my duty to warn other travellers. We booked this hotel specifically because my cousin's wedding celebrations were being held here. It should have been a joyful, memorable trip. Instead, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had — and I have stayed at the Hilton, Marriott, and Radisson Edwardian, so I am not someone with unreasonably high expectations. Arrival: left in the lobby for over 5 hours We arrived after 3am having flown from London Heathrow. I had paid for the room from 23 May, so I expected it to be available. Instead, the only room offered was a bungalow — Room 9** — which was infested with mosquitoes and bugs, and completely inaccessible for my mother, who is a wheelchair user. I had called the hotel twice before travelling to specifically request a room in the main building due to my mother's mobility needs. Those requests were completely ignored. I was told by the staff member on duty that housekeeping didn't start until 7:30am and no main building rooms were available. She said we should have a room by 8am. We did not get one until 10am. My family — including a wheelchair user — sat in the lobby for over five hours. Nobody offered us a single cup of coffee, a glass of water, or any food. Not once. The room: dirty, wrong, and poorly maintained When we finally got a room, it was not the Premium Room Mountain View I had booked — which is advertised with a double bed and bunk beds for up to four guests. Instead, we were given a double bed and a sofa bed. When I complained, I was told I could not be moved. On the second day, housekeeping folded the sofa back into a chair without being asked, leaving us even more cramped. Despite repeated complaints to staff members including xxxx, nothing was done. The bedding was dirty on arrival. I requested fresh linen — nobody came. Eventually linen was delivered and I had to change it myself. The floor was filthy. The air conditioning rattled loudly and did not work at all throughout our stay. The water pressure was extremely low and the water was not hot. There was a hole in the bathroom ceiling, which I believe is where the insects were entering from. I asked for mosquito repellent — a plug or spray — every single day of my stay. I never received one. Every member of my family was bitten repeatedly throughout the trip. Vegan food: a broken promise Before agreeing to the all-inclusive upgrade (offered instead of a refund when I reduced from two rooms to one), I explicitly confirmed that vegan food would be available and kept separate from meat. I was told yes. That was simply not true. For all four days of our stay, the only vegan food at the buffet was bread, cucumbers, peppers, and tomatoes. My children cannot live on that. We ordered chips from the à la carte menu every single day just to have something adequate to eat. The vegetarian options that did exist were placed directly next to meat dishes with shared serving spoons — completely unacceptable for anyone with dietary requirements, and something every reputable hotel chain manages to get right. The spa: insects in the hot tub, no steam in the steam room In an attempt to salvage something positive from the trip, my cousin and I visited the spa. The hot tub had flies and dead insects floating in it. The steam room produced no steam whatsoever. When we complained, a staff member told us that was simply how it is. That is not an acceptable response in any hotel, let alone one marketing itself as four or five stars. The lobby itself was dirty. I had to clean the area before sitting down. Unauthorised charge after checkout After returning home on 28 May — and I will be honest, I tried to leave earlier because the conditions were so poor — I discovered that a further £1,440.40 had been taken from my bank account on 29 May 2026, one day after checkout, with no prior notice or authorisation. Combined with the £2,213.12 paid at the time of booking, this hotel has taken a total of £3,653.52 from me. I have raised a formal complaint and am pursuing a full refund. Final verdict This hotel is drastically understaffed, poorly managed, and not maintained to any standard that justifies its star rating. The staff who were present were clearly overwhelmed — this is not entirely their fault — but the lack of basic care, organisation, and follow-through was consistent throughout our stay. My family members staying in other rooms experienced many of the same problems. This was supposed to be a special trip for a family wedding. Instead, it caused us significant stress, discomfort, and financial loss. I would strongly urge anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere.

We chose Hotel Zeus Dolce by Wyndham as our final night stop after an incredible 8-day Greek island-hopping adventure through Paros and Naxos - and what a way to finish the trip! The location is genuinely superb. Sitting on the east coast of Athens, close to Rafina Port and Athens Airport, it's ideally placed if you're island-hopping or catching an early flight. Couldn't be more convenient. From the moment we walked through the doors as a family of four, we were greeted with the warmest welcome. The staff simply could not do enough for us - that genuine, heartfelt hospitality that you hope for but don't always find. They kindly upgraded us to a swim-up pool bungalow, which was an absolutely wonderful surprise. It gave us the best night's sleep of the entire trip! The hotel itself is impressive - a large, well-appointed property spread across multiple floors with a real holiday atmosphere. During our stay the mix of guests was wonderfully international, with French and American travellers among the crowd, which added to the vibrant feel. We split our time between the main pool and the sea, completely relaxed and recharged. One night was never going to be enough - we could easily have stayed for several more days. Thank you to the entire team at Hotel Zeus Dolce for giving our family such a memorable and joyful end to our Greek adventure. We will absolutely be back
