In disbelief that this can be a 5 star hotel… this hotel is beautiful on the eye and it is very clean around the grounds. But outside of that everything I’ve ever experienced from a 5 star hotel is missing from this hotel there’s things in this hotel you wouldn’t receive at many 3 star hotels I’ve been too. Everything you see about the hotel on pictures or in descriptions is complete nonsense. The buffet food is very average for a start, it’s edible but so it should be it’s a 5 star hotel the first 3 nights we were there the dinner was almost identical there isn’t much choice outside of the same things that are there every single night such as chips, spaghetti, bread & salad etc. the buffet itself is incredibly difficult to get a table of more than 4 people we are a family of 6… the hotel is so understaffed for the large volume of guests it has there’s normally one or two catering staff there trying to clean up the vast amount of tables and they simply don’t have time so loads of tables just piled with plates. No water at the tables either not shown to your seat by anyone we were there for a week and never got asked one single time for an alcoholic drink. These are all things you would get at any other all inclusive hotel we’ve been too in the last 10 years and vast majority haven’t been 5 star hotels. The senses bar one of the only places you can actually get an alcoholic drink that’s not a beer or a cheap wine had one person serving all 3 times we went to it at one point it took 18 minutes for us to get a drink and even if we didn’t have 4 kids that’s ridiculous. The beach bar is beyond ridiculous it’s a shed on wheels they had 4 fizzy pop bottles that weren’t even in the fridge and one beer tap. Yet on there advertisements online and on there tvs they have strawberry daiquiris in posh glasses. Couldn’t be further from the truth you get a beer in a plastic cup and that’s your option. The beach is small and the sun beds are cramped together it’s not a good beach cos it’s filled with rocks and stones it’s not an enjoyable beech to go to in anyway shape or form. Now we get to the rooms as I’ve said the rooms we were in were amazing on the eye but loads of things were broken or not working such as the taps and showers and bath. Brown grainy pellets were coming from all of our taps in our room so much so the shower head actually exploded and covered the whole bathroom with this “stuff” that apparently was normal for the area yet it turned out any normal filter would stop this. I’m going to miss out the details of how long it took this to be resolved but it took a very long time ie days. We had to boil kettle for baby’s water it was covered in limescale to the point I had to scrape it off with a knife. There was huge patches of mould on the children’s bedroom wall. The lights weren’t working and our hot water went out for 6 hours. We were only there for a week. Younes the guest manager did really try his best but he couldn’t believe the comical amount of things that had happened in our room we did get moved in the end but too little to late sadly. And the hot water didn’t work in that room so it still wasn’t great. The à la carte dining was another crazy experience asked for a cocktail in there and was told by the man serving me that he would have to go “down to the pool bar to get it” so it would be “easier if you don’t” we also asked for Hugo’s we had them last time in Greece they didn’t have the ingredients thought it would be a couple of days we left this morning they still didn’t have them last night. The Italian restaurant was like Ramsays kitchen nightmares. It started off with me asking for salmon and being told they didn’t have any but they had sea bass which wasn’t even on the menu. They also advertised a list of wines I got no option and was poured a half empty bottle with zero choice. The mains came out before the starters we all got food at totally different times we were sitting in the roasting sun and weren’t allowed to move until we all stood up and said we physically cant sit here as our children are way to hot. The restaurant wasnt busy at this time either there was plenty of space. Two other families either side of us were sadly in the same boat and we all ended up eventually getting inside but again to little too late. We had all finished before our sons chicken had even been put on the table. We then weren’t asked if we wanted our dessert after sitting for 20 mins. The water park is great kids loved it the slides are funny and the lazy river is cool! And the splash zone for toddlers is great too. The set up is really poor again though there’s probably on 30 sun loungers there so if your going in peak season good luck trying to get there. There’s no reserving loungers policy but that’s up in the air so if you don’t do it you’ll never get in we went at 11:05 one morning and couldn’t get a lounger. It opens at 11. The towel situation is embarrassing for a 5 star hotel you get business cards for how many people you travel with each business card gets you one towel. You then have to hand the towels back to revive the business cards back. It’s all inclusive 5 star just let people take a towel and put the back when there done. The sports courts are great. Football padel basketball tennis all great for kids too. Although the one tennis ball they had for our padel game didnt bounce and was old and weathered so bring your own tennis ball. It was bitterly disappointing and for a 5 star I felt really let down as said previously it’s beautiful on the eye but not so beautiful in reality for what you would expect and for the money you pay.
The hotel is truly wonderful. Intimate, with no parties, loud noises, or drunken guests. It's top-notch. The service was very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. The alacarte restaurant offers a wide selection of food. The water park would be perfect for the little ones. There are pontoons on site and a bar next door. The views and location of the hotel are absolutely stunning. The beach and sea are beautiful, with both sand and rock, and beautiful cliffs. There's a beach bar. If anyone's looking for a quiet spot where the whole family can relax, I definitely recommend it. We also rented a car from the hotel, and it went very smoothly.
The room is clean and well-maintained. The food is quite repetitive, with almost the same options served every day for lunch and dinner. Breakfast offers a bit more variety. The beach is located some distance from the hotel. A shuttle bus takes about 5 minutes to get there, but when the shuttle is full, you may need to wait an additional 10 minutes, even during scheduled service times. To collect beach towels, you need to visit the bar, which only opens between 10:00 and 11:00. Overall, I do not feel that the hotel offers good value for the price paid.
Myself, husband and daughter (7) arrived around 11.30pm last Saturday (30th may)- first thought was wow! What a lovely complex! Checkin was fine and the lady behind the desk was very informative. Had someone take us and our luggage to our room, once there he asked if we was hungry to which we answered yes so of he went and he came back with some ham and cheese wraps with salad which was a nice touch. Our room was nice, bathroom quite small but not a massive issue - did only have 7 hangers so may be an issue if a larger family - view of the sea was amazing! Food: For a 5star hotel food was not great, it was pretty much the same food everyday and not much to choose from really. No one to show you to your table and very rarely asked for a drink - you would have to wave someone down. Not enough staff in the restaurant to turn tables around so would often have to find someone to clean a table for you to sit on. Snacks - We was advertised there would be snacks during the day, that consisted of a couple of sandwiches and every now and again a few cakes that you would find at breakfast in a cooler by the pool bar. Not what we expected at all. Pool bar: A couple of times this just had one member of staff ( this was the same for all the bars around the hotel) so as you can imagine there was quite a queue at times, they would often run out of things which you dont expect at a 5star. One day they run out off beer, prossecco, coffee and straws. Toilets by the pool: Now I understand these have a heavy flow of people so ain't going to be spotless but that being said you dont expect to go in and bins overflowing with used toilet paper, empty toilet rolls thrown on the floor and on a couple of occasions no toilet paper at all. Also the first toilet had wet toilet paper thrown on top of the door and on door frame which has been there all week. Cleaners definitely need to concentrate more on some areas. There is a small shop in the hotel but it is very basic - they dont sell sun cream or after sun so make sure you bring enough for your stay! No balls or armbands or anything like that, literally a small selection of Crisps, chocolate, lady products and sandals. I believe its a 40euro cab return trip to the nearest strip. A couple days before leaving we asked where we could shower before leaving and was told we could use the spa - they then informed us that when we check out our wrist bands would be cut off and we would have to pay for food and drinks - i expressed that I was not happy for that to happen as dont get picked up till 5! We have payed for 7 nights and obviously didnt arrive till late last Saturday so didnt use the restaurant or drinks then - however nothing was said at checkout, I believe a few people had moaned like we had so gave up on the idea so make sure you argue the matter. Like I say overall was a nice break - not what we had expected and certainly not 5star experience. Grounds are beautiful ans every view from the hotel is stunning, this hotel really does have a lot of potential but unfortunately it needs a lot of work to get there.
My husband and I recently stayed with our 2 year. The hotel is lovely, very nice decor and communal areas are spotless. Not sure what other rooms are like but ours only had a shower which was tiled floor and incredibly slippery not ideal with a toddler!! We did have a fall and bumped head. Beach is nice but take beach/sea shoes! Sunbeds at beach and pool are really comfy but on busy days can be hard to come by. Pools again spotless, on the cool side but didn’t stop us and lots of other guests spending hours in them. The waterpark part is good, our toddler enjoyed the kids splash zone and us big kids had a go on the bigger slides, nice lazy river style pool, just abit of hilly walk from the main hotel. The food and restaurant are the hotels biggest let down. Food is average compared to other 4/5* star hotels we have stayed at, offer is very limited and waiting staff just clear tables and relay tables, no ‘service’ and the manager was least welcoming person on site, not even as smile to entering guests. Same spaghetti, tomato sauce, bolognese every dinner. Same Greek style peas, Brussels and carrots as vegetable options, and ALOT of pork so not ideal if you do not eat pork. Desserts were nice but no variety. Often the drinks dispensers were out of something but I liked the fact hot drinks and juice was available all meals, not something often see. There is a small bar outside the restaurant which serve wine and beer but not once was we asked if we wanted anything from the bar by waiting staff during our stay, not 5* service. We couldn’t book to the Italian restaurant so cannot comment, however managed to book the Greek for lunch and dinner at the Greek restaurant. Lunch is far from Greek, we had a pizza and sandwich and nothing for children. Dinner was a better menu but still nothing for children. With children evenings are pretty poor really, nothing for them to do, luckily there were a few kids all in the same boat and all played together. We did go to ‘mini disco’ one evening however nothing disco about it, just a crèche type room with a hotel entertainment team member playing kids music from his phone. Nearest town is a €20 ride from the hotel which was a good visit, nice cocktail bars on the beach front, souvenir shops and gooooood gryos at a restaurant called Smile - worth the taxi! We had a late flight home and asked for late checkout which was €60 and got us the room until 5pm which we thought was reasonable and worth the money especially with a toddler. We enjoyed our stay, but will be a one time visit
