Really Nice average stay! Definitely not a 4*!! another miss starred by TUI! However very pleasant stay, let’s start with the good All the Staff make this hotel! Morning Irene is amazing! Everywhere is very clean Lunch Food is excellent and lots of choice the hummus, tzatziki, beetroot salad and feta salad were amazing!! Breakfast very standard but plenty Dinner - what is cooked is very tasty and delicious must have a good chef. Coffee and tea were nice If you are looking for complete rest come here it’s very quite No sunbed wars, beds available all day and are the most comfiest beds I’ve ever had on a resort The shop next door is excellent!!! Not at all overpriced and lots of choices definitely recommend - buy your booze there if you want a decent drink! NOW FOR THE NOT SO GOOD Improvements definitely needed !! No welcome drink or cold flannel No one to take luggage to room Jacuzzi was broken Our room was upstairs! We struggled with our cases (not recommended for the elderly) Nothing is provided in your room in the way of toiletries other than loo roll and hand wash! Bath towels are not very big! Cleaners still cleaning/mopping hotel area at 8am so be careful The All inclusive selection is very very poor ! We spent a lot of extra money! No sparkling wine, the local wine was undrinkable, the spirits were very weak, cocktail selection was poor and no mocktails The fizzy drinks were always served flat! As out of bottles! All inclusive Can’t have lunch until 1pm (why not 12?) Lunch food was really nice I recommend ordering the fresh items as some items were not fresh and tasted old and reheated (avoid the moussaka ) and the kebab was like fake meat/poor quality and not very tasty! Dinner is the most disappointing even tho what is cooked is very tasty and delicious must have a good chef, choice is very limited . No cheese and biscuits! There is no Entertainment!! A singer once a week was all we seen! Seating at night was poor there are 3 big tables only which were great, the other seats are uncomfortable and low tiny tables! Or high table’s, not very relaxing! I’d recommend to use this hotel as a B&B or at best half board the best food was lunch and even tho the evening food was really nice what was cooked its was very little options

Had a really lovely week at the Astra Village. Thought the hotel was clean, well organised and as everyone says the sunbeds are incredible! Pool was lovely and quite cool and refreshing. Lovely breeze over pool area in the afternoons. Rooms were fine, beds comfy and shower, air con and fridge all worked well. Cleaned (to varying degrees )daily, although more frequent towel changes than 3 days would also have been nice. The only real complaint was having asked for rooms close together (both through easyjet and directly to hotel beforehand) we were split between block 1 and 5. Which wasnt ideal as travelling with teen and young adult daughter who has anxiety and wanted to be nearer to us. Food was good, we all enjoyed breakfast and were never hungry after dinner, even the fussy eater found things they liked! Pool bar lunches were good and drink prices only slightly higher than other bars. Went out for dinner a couple of times when we didnt feel like buffet. Staff in general were polite, professional and helpful and very hardworking. There was one waitress in particular, Irene or Irennee (?) who was extremely lovely and helpful and just a very joyful presence. I hope Astra village realises what a asset she is. Other things others have mentioned such as improvements of water/tea/coffee in rooms, coffee machine on after dinner and help with luggage I agree with. Thankfully 2 shops very close to stock up. Cute cats around hotel. Overall had a really good week in Kefalonia and were very happy with nearly every aspect of hotel.

No night entertainment (Tuesday only) or pool activity/entertaining kids. Bar Service is slow as found kept waiting at times, and lacked choice of food/small area only. Cleanliness to the rooms could be updated. No tea/coffee to the room…only a kettle. Says sea-view, this is from a distance only if on the 1st floor as the rooms are house floor level share. 70 euros tax we found expensive and 120 euros to extend the room if you have a late flight. Toilets to freshen up or 10 euros to use the spa for half hr. Staff not found welcoming - one young lad in the restaurant working daily always had a smile/said hello. Wouldn’t return and not recommended. Found drinks also expensive to buy at the small hotel. If you like quiet - this is the place to go.

Returned home from a greatv2 week stay. One of our favourites places to stay. Rooms well equipped and clean. Air con was quiet as was the fridge. Pool well maintained, sun beds lush. Highly trained staff, always attentive. We visit this area every year, so we don't stay for dinner every night, but the meals we did have were varied. Breakfast is great. We hope to return next year.

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The dishes had an unpleasant smell, as if they had been washed in a dirty dishwasher or not cleaned properly. The staff were overly pushy and didn't give us enough privacy. On top of that, they were openly chewing gum while serving customers, which came across as very unprofessional. Overall, the service and hygiene standards did not meet our expectations. The beach itself is quite average, and the surrounding area feels very tourist-oriented, with many businesses focused on getting as much money from visitors as possible. If you rent a car, make sure you read the insurance terms and conditions very carefully, as there may be important exclusions and extra charges that are easy to overlook. Despite all of this, the island is undeniably beautiful, although it feels significantly underinvested in terms of infrastructure and facilities
