We have just returned home after an incredible two-week stay at Astra Village, and once again we had the most amazing holiday. This was our third time staying at the hotel, which probably says everything in itself, and we are already talking about returning and booking again for next year. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcome. Astra Village has such a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It feels traditional, personal and genuinely Greek, rather than like a large, impersonal resort. There is something very special about the hotel, and it is the kind of place where you immediately feel able to switch off, slow down and enjoy your holiday. The staff are a huge part of what makes Astra Village so wonderful. Every single person we encountered was friendly, welcoming, hardworking and professional. The reception team were always helpful and approachable, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Sylvia and the bar team were fantastic throughout our stay. The bar was always a lovely place to sit and relax, and the friendly service helped create the hotel’s easy-going atmosphere. Irene and the breakfast waiting team gave us such a warm welcome every morning. Breakfast was always an enjoyable and relaxing start to the day, and the entire team worked incredibly hard while still remaining friendly and attentive. The lunch and afternoon waiting team were equally wonderful, as were the evening waiting team. Whether we were having a relaxed lunch, sitting with a freddo cappuccino during the afternoon or enjoying an evening meal, the service was consistently excellent. Everyone made us feel looked after without the atmosphere ever becoming overly formal. We would also like to thank the management team and everybody working behind the scenes. It is obvious that the hotel is very well run and that a huge amount of care goes into maintaining such a high standard. A special mention must also go to the cleaning and housekeeping team. Our room was absolutely spotless throughout the whole holiday. The standard of cleanliness was exceptional, and the room was always left looking fresh, tidy and welcoming. The housekeeping staff clearly work incredibly hard and deserve just as much recognition as the front-of-house teams. Our room was comfortable, beautifully presented and very well designed. It felt like a peaceful place to return to after a day by the pool or exploring the local area. Everything was maintained to an excellent standard, and we had everything we needed for a comfortable two-week stay. The pool area was one of our favourite parts of the hotel. It was such a relaxing place to spend the day, whether we were swimming, lying on the sunbeds or simply enjoying the sunshine and atmosphere. The whole pool area felt calm and laid-back, which was exactly what we wanted from our holiday. We also loved the restaurant and the food. It was brilliant to be able to enjoy traditional Greek dishes at the hotel, and the meals were consistently delicious. The food added so much to the experience and made us feel like we were properly enjoying Greece rather than eating the same generic hotel food every day. We enjoyed everything from breakfast through to lunch and evening meals. The hotel shop was also extremely convenient and had everything we needed during the stay. It was another small detail that made the holiday feel easy and stress-free. Big shoutout to Vanessa, Julia, and the other lady (whose name I didn’t get!). The location is fantastic too. The surrounding local area is beautiful and enjoyable to explore, while the hotel itself feels peaceful and relaxed. It offers a wonderful balance between being able to enjoy the nearby area and having somewhere calm and welcoming to return to. What stands out most about Astra Village is the overall feeling of the place. It is warm, traditional, friendly and incredibly laid-back. It never feels cold, corporate or impersonal. The people working there create an atmosphere that makes guests feel genuinely welcome, and that is something you cannot manufacture. There honestly was not one single part of our holiday that disappointed us. We loved the room, the cleanliness, the housekeeping, the pool, the sunbeds, the restaurant, the Greek food, the bar, the shop, the location, the atmosphere and, most importantly, the people. Thank you to every member of the Astra Village team for giving us another unforgettable two weeks. We know how much hard work goes into keeping a hotel running and making every guest feel looked after, and it certainly did not go unnoticed. Leaving was incredibly difficult, and we are already missing it. After three visits, Astra Village feels like somewhere very special to us, and we genuinely cannot wait to return again next year. We would recommend Astra Village without hesitation to anyone looking for a friendly, relaxed and traditional Greek holiday with wonderful food, excellent facilities and an exceptional team of staff. Thank you again for another perfect stay.

Lovely hotel great pool area with comfy sun loungers and pool towels given. We would defo visit again. Very close to the airport so plane watching is a must. Just a few points to take into consideration we had a deluxe room but there was some mould on the shower ceiling that could do with repairing and some ants around the sink each day. But neither spoilt our holiday. Room had a kitchenette which was handy for snacks as we stayed half board. Hairdryer in the bathroom but had to fetch an iron from reception. Maid came every day and very friendly, changed my pillow which was too hard! If you have mobility issues you may want to ask to be near the pool as further down the hill could be hard walking to and from your room in the heat. Last day no specific room to shower and change if you don’t want to pay for late check out but you can use the spa at a cost of 10euros which was ok.

Really Nice average stay! Definitely not a 4*!! another miss starred by TUI! However very pleasant stay, let’s start with the good All the Staff make this hotel! Morning Irene is amazing! Everywhere is very clean Lunch Food is excellent and lots of choice the hummus, tzatziki, beetroot salad and feta salad were amazing!! Breakfast very standard but plenty Dinner - what is cooked is very tasty and delicious must have a good chef. Coffee and tea were nice If you are looking for complete rest come here it’s very quite No sunbed wars, beds available all day and are the most comfiest beds I’ve ever had on a resort The shop next door is excellent!!! Not at all overpriced and lots of choices definitely recommend - buy your booze there if you want a decent drink! NOW FOR THE NOT SO GOOD Improvements definitely needed !! No welcome drink or cold flannel No one to take luggage to room Jacuzzi was broken Our room was upstairs! We struggled with our cases (not recommended for the elderly) Nothing is provided in your room in the way of toiletries other than loo roll and hand wash! Bath towels are not very big! Cleaners still cleaning/mopping hotel area at 8am so be careful The All inclusive selection is very very poor ! We spent a lot of extra money! No sparkling wine, the local wine was undrinkable, the spirits were very weak, cocktail selection was poor and no mocktails The fizzy drinks were always served flat! As out of bottles! All inclusive Can’t have lunch until 1pm (why not 12?) Lunch food was really nice I recommend ordering the fresh items as some items were not fresh and tasted old and reheated (avoid the moussaka ) and the kebab was like fake meat/poor quality and not very tasty! Dinner is the most disappointing even tho what is cooked is very tasty and delicious must have a good chef, choice is very limited . No cheese and biscuits! There is no Entertainment!! A singer once a week was all we seen! Seating at night was poor there are 3 big tables only which were great, the other seats are uncomfortable and low tiny tables! Or high table’s, not very relaxing! I’d recommend to use this hotel as a B&B or at best half board the best food was lunch and even tho the evening food was really nice what was cooked its was very little options
