Astra Village

Nice hotel, clean and well run. Good helpful staff. Rooms done daily. We were there for 7 nights. This hotel is about 200m from the sea, a couple of secluded, small, sandy beaches. Not much to do around here, but a bus will take you into the capital for €2.50. Parts can be steep, no wheelchair access, and if like me you have bad knees, go easy. You're near the end of the airport runway (great transfer time!) so loads of aircraft coming in and out, but after 2 days you don't hear them and they stop about 10 at night. Food is buffet style and plentiful, lots of gluten free whatever, I've had far worse! Whoever makes the cakes/pastries is a master!! First time we've been to Cefalonia, a nice island, the sea was still a bit cold when we were there, but crystal clear waters. Good holiday

We stayed here for one week in May with my family and booked the half-board option. Overall, the hotel is very pleasant. The pool and communal areas are beautifully decorated, and the furniture, including the sun loungers and outdoor seating, is very comfortable. There were always plenty of loungers available around the pool, and the pool itself is well maintained. We spent several enjoyable days relaxing there and visiting the beach which is only down the road. The buffet food included with half board was good, although on some evenings the selection felt a little limited. It would also have been nice to see a wider choice of fruit available for dessert. Breakfast, however, was excellent, with plenty of options including sweet and savoury dishes, cereals, juices, and coffee. The team were lovely, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. Our room was perfect for our needs, and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here. We would happily recommend it.

Just returned after a weeks stay here.Its also our 2nd stay at Astra and are looking to book again next year.Fabulous hotel.Staff are really friendly and helpful.Really looked afer us. Great rooms with lovely views of the sea.Hotel and rooms really clean.Pool and pool area inside and outside kept spotlessly clean. Really comfy sunbeds.Such a chilled atmosphere.Stayed half board and there was a good selection of foods at breakfast and evening meal.Lunchtime menu at pool bar had a great selection and prices reasonable too. Very close to the airport so really quick transfer and loved watching the planes come and go. Location is quiet but with a few tavernas in walking distance and small beach nearby.Hotel has a little supermarket well stocked and good prices. Local bus service every hour and a half to Lassi and Argostoli. Car hire very easy to do too to explore beautiful Kefalonia. All in all a great hotel and holiday and we will be back.Thankyou.

Location is close to the airport with a relaxed atmosphere. Rooms were basic, clean and well set out and the sunbeds at the pool were very comfortable. The service was excellent and all the staff were friendly and helpful. There are a couple of tavernas nearby but we stayed in the hotel as we were half board and the food was excellent.

We stayed at Astra Village for nine nights, returning last night. We have been so impressed with our stay that we have already decided to return asap. From the cleanliness and comfort of our room to the friendliness of EVERY member of staff, everything is first class. The sunbeds are the most comfortable we have ever used and there were always plenty available around the pool. The food at the bar or in the restaurant was top quality and HOT! (Not always a given if staying half board) Meals were never 'recycled' the following day and the desserts were amazing. We will definitely be returning.
