Nefeli

We recently stayed at Hotel Nefeli in Corfu and had a really lovely experience overall. The hotel itself is beautiful, rustic, and extremely clean and well maintained throughout. Our room was spacious with a lovely bathroom, and the shower always had boiling hot water which was amazing after a long day out exploring. We also had a nice-sized balcony, and housekeeping was excellent every day — beds made, fresh bath mats, and towels changed regularly. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, which is the only dining option available at the hotel, but the breakfast was always fresh, hot, and varied each morning with a good selection to choose from. One thing to be aware of is that we travelled very early in the season, so some places nearby were still closed. The pool bar had only just opened and there were no snacks available to buy on site yet. The mini market recommended to us was also closed, although once we got our bearings it was easy enough to find alternatives. There is however a small shop directly across the road at the bottom of the hill which is handy for essentials. The hotel is set in quite a hilly area, so be prepared for a lot of walking if you plan to explore outside the hotel grounds. The pool area itself is stunning — the waterfall flowing into the pool is incredibly relaxing — although the pool water was absolutely freezing! The standout part of our stay was definitely the staff. Every single member of staff was so friendly and welcoming, especially the reception team who were always helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. We also loved that the hotel has won awards for helping stray cats and dogs, which was especially meaningful for us as animal lovers. Overall, a lovely peaceful stay in a beautiful setting with genuinely wonderful staff.

Just spent a week in Nefeli and can’t wait to go back. The best value for a beautiful pool, room with all you need, gorgeous balcony and view (we were on the cheapest rate!). The staff and really nice but not in your face. The location is lovely, up a little country road but 5 mins walk to the number 7 bus into town. Lots of fantastic restaurants around with great views of the bay. The pool is really beautiful, great range of beds and something for everyone. Breakfast is simple but good, lots of range and great coffee. Have to commend the staff for her help when our hire car broke down at 10pm and all was sorted and we were back in our hotel in 20 mins. Also we arrived late and the lovely restaurant across the road the Panorama insisted on giving us a take away meal despite the kitchen being closed. Thanks Mama! This place has real charm. It’s not a soul less 5 star it’s boutique, personal and cosy. Would be good for a solo traveller too. 10/10!

The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well-equipped with modern amenities. Breakfast at the hotel offered a good variety each day, and the friendly bar staff made amazing cocktails. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, providing great recommendations and assisting with dinner reservations. The hotel features a great pool area, and the entire property is very clean and animal-friendly. Conveniently, the hotel is not far from a bus stop to the city center and is not far from other restaurants. The scenic views from the hotel are some of the best I've ever seen. We had the best time here and would definitely go again! (especially for the homemade lemonades). Couldn't recommend this place enough!

Lovely hotel,spotlessly clean, lovely staff,and a beautiful hotel,we go every year,its wonderful ,the food is good,there's a bar,pool is excellent and the gardens have hammocks and loungers ,there are also four poster beds with voil curtains around the pool to chill out on, lots of car parking spaces, animal friendly hotel too which I absolutely love,nothing is too much trouble for the staff a beautiful peaceful and tranquil hotel, the rooms are cleaned daily and have everything you need, air con, safe, TV and fridge and are decorated very nice.

Overall, we had a splendid stay at the Nefeli hotel. The staff were incredibly accommodating and attentive. The hotel had beautiful views from the balcony of the room and the pool/garden area were incredibly tranquil. We had a panoramic room which was a decent size but the bathroom was slightly out dated. Our only real complaint was the breakfast, frequently with a lack of suitable options, with pizza being one of the 3 cooked options one morning. Other than this, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend renting a car to explore more of the island during the day and making the supermarkets, which are usually a 20 minute walk back and forth in the heat, a lot more accessible.
