Almyrida Village & Waterpark

The room was good and in a lovely location. The shower was temperamental hot or cold and occasionally just right. The hotel staff are absolutely amazing and will do anything to help you, the manager is also very friendly and made time for everyone at dinner time as you was eating to talk to you. The pool was lovely and clean and the slides were great fun. Would definitely visit again

Where do i start… Very very run down hotel, tiles missing everywhere cracks in walls and the floors. The rooms are very very outdated. We had a few lightbulbs missing, plug sockets hanging off the walls and the ceiling light is hanging off. I have had to complain multiple times. Firstly the pool is freezing cold, there is no waterpark here it’s one baby slide that makes an awful siren sound when on. The bar only does certain drinks, most alcohol you have to pay for. There is no evening entertainment so after dinner everyone just goes to bed it’s very boring. Bar shuts at 10, and it’s only the pool one that’s open. The food is awful, same thing every day, awful dry pasta in a sloppy sauce every day, stale bread, good salad selection but all hot food is cold, and you have to ask for them to bring more out when the food has run out. We have had to go out multiple nights because the food is just the same cold crap. Also only half the hotel is 4 star the rest is 3. Just beware coming here it’s not worth it.

Thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay all inclusive. The staff are lovely and very friendly. We had a room on the ground floor with a terrace, we overlooked the grounds and could see the sea. The room was exactly what we needed. It was basic but provided everything we needed for our stay. The bathroom was newer than the rest of the room. Towel and bedding was changed on the third day which we didn’t have an issue with. The grounds are well kept, we saw someone out everyday sweeping the grounds and the gardener came frequently. the hotel provides a lovely large pool with a kids area at the far end. as we came at the end of the season it was very quiet, most days we didnt come down to the pool till 11am and there was plenty of choice of sunbeds. the pool could do with a referb as there are a fair few loose tiles but this didn’t cause any issues for us. the food is very traditional and a buffet is provided for breakfast, lunch and tea. if you are a picky eater you may struggle, whether there is more choice in peak season I am not sure. it is only a 5 minute walk down to the front where there are many restaurants, several supermarkets and shops. if you want to go to chania i highly recommend getting the KTEL bus which is €3.20pp instead of a €40 taxi. overall i am very pleased with our stay here. there are several negative reviews on this hotel, in my opinion they want a hotel for twice the price. for what we paid i am very satisfied. would highly recommend.

Me and my partner had a great week and a great experience in the hotel. Food was great, room was great, staff were brilliant. Aircon works a dream. People giving these bad reviews want something that’s worth double the money
