Almyrida Village & Waterpark

Since the moment we’ve arrived, the staff couldn’t be more helpful. Greeted with a smile and kindness, staff were very welcoming, attentive and explained everything so we would familiarise ourselves with the hotel. The large triple room has a beautiful aspect overlooking the sea which creates tranquil ambiance. The room has all amenities including kettle and a fridge with regular changes to bed and towels. The restaurant staff led by Kiki and her team are very professional and hospitable to everybody. Kiki and her staff were very informative when we asked for help with questions about the island and about places to see and things to do. They go over and above to make sure that your needs are met during your overall experience. The hotel serves traditional Greek food freshly cooked and served each day which provides a good range of different food of high quality and taste. Compliments to the kitchen staff who prepare the food which is rich in flavour and diverse in choice. The facilities include a large and beautiful pool with waterslide and an area for the children to play and a bar/restaurant for the adults the other end. The Almyrida Village and Waterpark caters to both families, couples and singles alike and is very inclusive to all. There is also children’s activity room and a farm with a horse, chickens and sheep. My husband and I had half board, breakfast and dinner, however the option to change to lunch demonstrated how flexible the hotel is to your needs. Walk into town takes less than five minutes to the beach area and local shops and restaurants. You can also hire a car or bike/s through the hotel via a local company Flisvos so we could explore the island of Crete at our leisure. We will be repeat customers and will happily recommend to others. It’s also within easy transfer from the local Chania airport which takes about 20 minutes.

This hotel has loads of potential, a little dated in places but everything works and the staff are amazing. The location is gorgeous, we came a little early in the season with most attractions opening in May. Just 5-10 mins walk to the harbour and beach, which is stunning. The catering was absolutely spot on, lovely range of food and plenty of choice. Kiki, the Restaurant Manager is doing an amazing job, always happy and very welcoming, thank you!

I want to Highlight for the manager Kiki who was nothing short of exzellent! She greeted us with genuine warmth, made sure every detail of our stay was perfect, and treated the entire team like family.
