We had a 7 night holiday in Crete and stayed here but I definitely wouldn't stay again. Be careful guys, they advertise as being a 4 star hotel but it really isn't, I'd honestly rate it as 2 star. The general attitude is of not caring and it shows. My bathroom for example didn't have any form of shower protection (no shower curtain or cubicle) and I was advised to simply put towels on the floor for the water. The lamp shade was hanging off and there was dirt and damage evident. The swimming pool had tiles missing from the bottom of the pool and was "not" heated, meaning the water was far colder than it should have been. Room service isn't carried out until the 3rd night but after 4 nights I had to ask for fresh towels, I was asked if I could wait until the next morning to collect them, after I said no I got them within an hour. Enjoyed my holiday but the accommodation was a huge letdown, nothing personal but just he weary guys, the pictures really don't reflect the reality.

Had a week here and the location is fantastic. There are signs in the rooms stating that the tap water is unsafe to drink, but no water is provided, you have to buy it from the hotel in bottles. There is a kettle provided but no tea or coffee making supplies. We found in fact that we could not get a cup of tea or coffee at all in the evening, as the machines in the dining area had all been shut down before 7pm. The bar is inadequqte and also closes weirdly early. Almyrida is a really nice small seaside village with a good number of excellent places to eat. It is situated only a 10 min walk down the hill, Almyrida beach is also stunning. The bus runs to Chania a few times a day, which is very conveniant, we went twice, Chania old town is beautiful. The shower was awful, we had to let it run for 15 mins in order for hot water, but then it spontaneously runs freezing cold. The beds are adequate and balcony lovely. We didnt mind, we only used the hotel as a base to lie our heads at the end of the day, so for our needs it was fine. The pool was large but cold, the sea was much nicer. Views from hotel were stunning.

Great location set back a bit from the sea front. Superb views to north and south. Well appointed, clean room. Quiet. Wi-fi worked well. Excellent buffet with a wide choice of dishes which were regularly changed. The real win for this hotel came from the friendly and helpful staff. Kiki, the maitre d' in the restaurant was a delight, having the rare ability to make every guest feel welcome and part of a family.
