Almyrida Village & Waterpark

I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately my experience at Almyrida Village and Waterpark Hotel was extremely disappointing and, at times, concerning for my health. From the moment I arrived, there were serious issues with cleanliness and basic standards. I woke up on my first morning to find ants in my room and even in my bed. I reported this immediately, but the response was completely unacceptable – I was told there were no rooms available to move to and that I could either sweep them up myself or go out and buy ant spray. Housekeeping was also very poor. Despite being told the room would be cleaned, there were no clear signs this happened – no fresh towels, bins not emptied, and used glasses left in the room. While the number of ants reduced slightly, they were still present throughout my stay, including on the balcony and around the bed area. The bar service was equally frustrating. Staff frequently disappeared, making it difficult to even get a drink. The most serious issue, however, was how my allergies were handled. I have multiple dietary allergies and raised this with staff, but no clear or safe guidance was provided. I was effectively told not to eat in the restaurant, despite having paid for meals as part of my package. To make matters worse, a spray was used in the room without my knowledge or any warning. Following this, I became unwell and had to attend hospital for treatment. Being exposed to chemicals without being informed, especially when allergies have already been declared, is extremely concerning and should never happen. Overall, I felt unsupported, unsafe, and that my holiday experience was significantly impacted. Ants may be common in some locations, but they should never be found in beds, and the way this situation — along with my health concerns — was handled was completely inadequate. I would not recommend this hotel, particularly for anyone with allergies or expectations of basic cleanliness, safety, and service. Throughout all of this, the most frustrating part was that staff showed little to no concern about any of the issues raised.

I don’t even know where to start with this hotel. We booked it as a family holiday, and from the photos it looked lovely, with a great location. However, when we arrived, it was a very disappointing sight. The room was extremely dated, the air-conditioning wasn’t working, and there were moldy curtains. The breakfast was terrible, and the pool was dirty. It was honestly one of the worst experiences of our live. To make matters worse, the hotel ran out of water, leaving our toilet unusable. When we asked for a bucket of water to flush it, we received no response. Strangely, there was running water in the reception toilets, but not in the rooms. We stayed only one night and decided to leave. We had to pay extra to book alternative accommodation in a different part of the island. In the end, we’re glad we left early, as we really enjoyed the rest of our time in Crete.

Location is close to beach and small selection of shops. It’s definitely not a water park ! One slide for children and adults and two slides for under 5’s Not much of an Atmosphere could possibly because it’s April and not height of season. Rooms are basic, need re-painting and new furniture etc given Its rating Value for money the price for all Inclusive for April was over priced , I wouldn’t want to pay anymore than we paid even if in height of season !! The meal choices are very limited and if you aren’t up for breakfast as soon as they open then you don’t get very much at all as it all goes and is not replenished after the first hour. Same with lunch and dinner they replenish for first hour then you’re out of luck. Can’t get a coffee after 9pm as restaurant is shut and the pool bar can’t make them 🤷🏼‍♀️ no cocktails either

One of the worst hotel i Greece.. I am begging u people never try to go this piggery... U want experience in hell then try thia hotel.. House keeping staffs are treatimg like beggers and enemies.. 3 kilometres u need to walk for beach and snakes u will meet anywhere anytime
