Almyrida Village & Waterpark

Lovely, quiet place to visit with a couple and family. Friendly staff, tidy and clean, good food, lots of options. Will definitely recommend. Walking distance from a beautiful beach. 🙂

We arrived at check in at 10 to 3. We had to wait an hour for our room. We got to the room to find a very bland and basic room. Two single beds pushed together to make a double, ants all over the place, the bathroom light not working, plug socket nearly hanging out the wall and no safe in the room. The steps up to our balcony had a broke bannister which could easily cause someone of lesser mobility to have a nasty fall. We had breakfast on the first morning and found the food bland and boring so we opted for local bakeries the rest of the week. The hotel also claims “Water park” which is a lie, there is one slide which doesn’t work. It also claims 700m to the beach. I feel it is a lot further than that and takes maybe 10 minutes. Very basic hotel, a lot of misleading advertisement.

Absolutely diabolical! Place was less then sub standard! Granite stone steps all over complex, all different heights no grab bar to hold etc ...... it has to be the worse place to stay in , false advertising on the hotel part. Food vile in so called restaurant n some of the staff rude! Avoid ......

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, we complained about no clean sheets 3 days into our holiday as when the specific to change, they said they would let the cleaners know. None the next day and by that time I gave up as it was the second to last night. We were all inclusive, but there was only two cocktails they’d make and one we taught the barista. There were only 4-5 options of food, and some were lukewarm. We ended up eating out 5 out of 7 nights we were there and two lunches. The fish made me want to be sick the sight of it. And there was no evening entertainment which was stated on the site but you expected it. This didn’t bothered me and my partner but it does let it down slightly. We could definitely see the areas they were cutting cost in the kitchen, drinks wise and staffing issues as me and my partner both have worked in hospitality. You do expect more paying for all inclusive holiday even for food, no matter if it’s not peak time or the think people like food that temperature. It is not the regulated temperature either.

The hotel itself was advertised as a “waterpark” , in reality it had 1 swimming pool and one slide for kids. Second of all, the rooms were really outdated, no coffee or tea in the room (the kettle was there, but that was it) not a lit of space to unpack really. The food in the hotel was God awful. As I booked the All inclusive option, and it was advertised as an every day different buffet, I thought it would’ve just that. Instead, the food was recycled and bland. No options available. Nothing going on in the hotel itself. The best thing about it was the view of the sea. That’s it.
