Aulus Chania, Curio Collection by Hilton (ex. Isla Brown Chania)

We absolutely loved the hotel and the whole experience ! The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The welcome was friendly and we were guided immediately to have lunch while the room was prepared (we came around noon). The lunch was very fresh and we enjoyed the very first touch of this wonderful hotel. The room was spacious and always very clean, and it was situated close to the main building and the pools (we stayed in a bungalow). We enjoyed most the buffet lunches and dinners because we want to try all different foods. The salad bar was always fresh and full of greens and vegetables. Also, the breakfast was high-quality with omelettes, fresh juices (not to forget the mimosas), bread, sweets etc. all you can think of. The only missing food was porridge, but lovely Greek yoghurt did the job and our stomachs were very happy ! We stayed during the FIFA 2026 gold medal game and hotel had put up a great sitting area for those who wanted to watch the game. There were balloons and sangria, beer and snacks and also waiters brought cocktails to the game watchers. It was a great evening ! Also, other evening entertainment was classy (different kinds of live music). There was a shuttle bus to Hania 3 times per week provided for free and we found that a great way to do some shopping since the hotel is located "in the middle of nowhere" but in a good way, of course ! We wanted relaxing time away from the hustle and that was what this hotel really offers ! If you are looking for party, please choose another place to stay. The staff was so friendly and we were constantly asked if everything is fine. And it was! It is very hard to mention the names because everyone was equally good. If I have to list some missing things my list is: - mini market / shop was too expensive with wrong articles (or maybe the articles were ok but they were way too expensive) - aqua gym/water exercises were missing even there are great pools for that These above missing things are minor to be honest because the overall experience was so wonderful. I did participate sunrise and morning yoga lessons and the instructor was very good. However, the weather was already very hot in the morning that the lessons were very challenging. The sea was refreshing and is was easy to jump into the water from the pontoon. We as a couple give full recommendations to anybody who is looking for a high-class hotel with friendly staff and relaxing vacation time. We would come back in heartbeat!

We spent one week at Aulus Chania, Curio Collection by Hilton in July, and had a wonderful holiday. I would rate our stay 5/5, and we would definitely return. The biggest reason for such a high rating is the staff. From the moment we walked through the doors until the day we left, everyone was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. What really stood out was that every day members of the hotel team came to ask how our stay was going and whether there was anything they could do to make it even better. It showed that they genuinely cared about their guests rather than just doing their job. Another lovely touch was the pool bar staff. After just a couple of days, they remembered what we liked to drink and often prepared our drinks before we even had to ask. It’s small gestures like these that make a holiday feel special. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. If you inspect everything very closely, you can find some minor signs of wear on the furniture, such as cabinet doors, but nothing that affected our stay or comfort. The food was very good overall. The buffet offered plenty of choice, and we always found something we enjoyed. My only suggestions would be a bit more variety at lunch and more authentic Greek dishes. Some of the chicken dishes were also a little dry for my personal taste. The pool area was excellent. There were always sunbeds available, and we really appreciated that the staff removed towels from loungers that had been reserved but left unused for a long time. It made the whole pool area feel fair for everyone. The only small downside was that the pool water became quite warm during the hottest part of the day—but with the July temperatures, that’s understandable. 😊 The evening entertainment was enjoyable, although I would personally prefer a little less DJ music and more live singers to create a relaxed holiday atmosphere. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to Chania, but during our stay it was simply too hot for sightseeing. We were more than happy to spend the week relaxing by the pool and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. You could tell the hotel was still putting the finishing touches on a few things, but nothing that had any real impact on our holiday. I would highly recommend Aulus Chania, especially for couples looking for a relaxing adults-only getaway with exceptional service. The facilities are excellent, but what truly makes this hotel stand out are the people who work there. Their genuine friendliness and attention to detail turned a great holiday into a memorable one. We stayed for 10nights in a King Infinite Sea View Escape room which was fabulous. The room was very well equipped, spacious with a good sized bathroom and a lovely terrace with amazing sea views. The housekeeping lady, Anastasia, was exceptional and kept our room spotlessly clean for the whole stay. The food we found to be excellent with plenty of choice at the buffet with different dishes each day. Above all the food was of very good quality and very tasty. The selection of wines in the restaurant were Greek and very good. The al-a-carte restaurants were equally as good and no issues with booking. The main thing about this resort is the service which is exceptional. We have stayed at many hotels throughout the world and this was the best service we have experienced. It was very personalised from check-in to check-out and all staff really cared that you were having an enjoyable stay. Any requests were dealt with promptly. By the pools the staff came around often to ask if you would like a drink and bringing around shots as well. There our 2 pool areas with 4 pools in total and all very relaxing as well as a jetty to swim in the sea which is now operational. Sun loungers were busy, but we always managed to find one. Evening entertainment was good and no problem finding seats in the bar and the service was excellent, never having to wait for a drink. Finally we are Hilton Honors Gold members and as such we were greeted and looked after exceptionally well. We used the free shuttle to Chania town which runs Mon/Wed/Fri as well as Thu evening which was a nice day out. The location is great with amazing views of the sunset. If you are looking for a relaxing stay with adults only with great food and drinks in luxurious surroundings with the best service this is the place.

Our stay at Aulūs Chania Resort was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. I travelled with my two daughters, and we had such a relaxing and memorable holiday. One of the things we loved most about the resort was its size. It's not a huge, sprawling hotel, which gives it a much more intimate and welcoming atmosphere. It never felt crowded, and the smaller scale meant the staff really got to know their guests, making the whole experience feel much more personal. The service throughout our entire stay was exceptional, and every member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome. A special thank you goes to Mara, who looked after us from the moment we arrived. She was so warm, friendly and informative, making sure we had everything we needed. Whether it was information about the hotel, nearby towns and cities, the island of Crete, excursions or transport, she was always happy to help and made us feel completely at ease. Every member of the team was attentive and kind. We'd also like to thank Ana, the Operations Manager, who was always around to help with anything we needed and took the time to stop and have a chat. It's clear she really cares about the guest experience, and it made a real difference to our stay. The food was another highlight. There was an excellent variety at the buffet, with plenty of choice every day, and we loved the à la carte restaurant so much that we ate there three times during our stay (four if you include our stop there for lunch for their daily Italian Menu). For anyone visiting, it's worth noting that there is currently one à la carte restaurant which alternates between two concepts in the evenings during the week—Meze on some evenings and Seafood on others. We were told they are planning to expand with a second restaurant in the future, which would be a fantastic addition to have the choice of both every day. We'd like to mention the buffet and restaurant staff, who were always so warm, friendly and welcoming. Every member of the team worked incredibly hard and always greeted us with a smile, which really added to the overall experience. The cocktails were amazing too and some of the best we've had at an all-inclusive resort. The bartenders so fun and chatty and were more than happy to make drinks that weren't on the menu too. We highly recommend trying a Bloody Mary and the Spicy Margarita! We spent most of our time at the smaller Zen Pool, which was perfect for the peaceful, relaxing holiday we were looking for. It had a lovely calm atmosphere, and because the hotel isn't overly large, it never felt busy or difficult to find a comfortable spot to relax. The evening entertainment was also just right, with talented live musicians creating a beautiful atmosphere without ever feeling loud or intrusive. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Aulūs Chania Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with exceptional service, fantastic food and drinks, and a genuinely caring team. The intimate feel of the resort, combined with the outstanding staff, made it one of the most enjoyable all-inclusive holidays we've had. My boyfriend and I had the most amazing time at Aulus Chania resort. The staff were wonderful and so helpful and the food (both à la carte and buffet) was delicious. We stayed in the king view grande suite with a private pool and it was amazing, so spacious. Couldn’t recommend it enough!
