Firstly I’m disabled, able to walk but not great. I was dropped off by tui 50 meters past the hotel for no apparent reason except the driver obviously didn’t want me seeing the 62 steps to reception (see photos). This is definitely NOT a 4 star hotel especially end of season. The weather was great but only 4 sunbeds on the roof terrace and the whole sun terrace area hadn’t been cleaned in ages. the pool is 7 floors below by reception and tbh I’ve seen bigger baths. They refused to open the bar for guests wanting to sunbathe. The pool area had a machine only and no sun as it’s totally enclosed by buildings & walls. The food was atrocious, cold every night, the biggest queue was for the microwave oven. In fact the staff when I complained told me to use the microwave, I kicked off big time saying I shouldn’t have to use a microwave in a 4 star hotel. The food warming stations were cold and staff changed the trays with bare hands. The manager was obviously well versed in apologies he seemed genuine but fighting staff not prepared to listen. The rooms are ok but badly designed, my tv was covered by a wardrobe for 4 inches, great shower unit but extremely dangerous getting out with wet feet on a tiled floor, I slipped several times. The balcony is a joke about 2ft deep put blocked by the air conditioning unit so you can’t actually use it. At least the air conditioning worked. The lifts hold 2 people or 1 with a case so no good for families. The only good thing about this hotel is location if you can get up & down them steps it’s just a few minutes to the centre and a few bars (inc sports bar) on the way and a couple of the best restaurants just a few meters away. I delayed my review until I’d resolved my numerous complaints with Tui. I eventually got my money back that I had to spend on eating out after day 3 of cold food. Tui are aware of the steps but still nothing on their site saying not suitable for guests with walking issues. I booked in store and spoke with them on my return and they checked everything out and they were totally unaware of it as well. Tui wouldn’t send a rep to see any of the guests who were in the same situation as me, one fell trying to carry his case up the steps and cut his arm open. The wanted everything on their app and then told me to tell the hotel I wanted a refund and book myself a different hotel. Please note that on trip advisor some of the pictures there were one here are not this hotel they are the 5star next door. When questioned about this they soon vanished so be aware.

The room was spacious, quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable, which made it easy to relax after a long day. The staff were very polite and always greeted guests with a smile, making the atmosphere feel warm and welcoming. One thing I really appreciated was the swimming pool, which was very clean and well maintained every day. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some peaceful time. Overall, the combination of comfort, cleanliness and the kindness of the staff made my stay truly enjoyable.
What stood out to me most was how peaceful the pool area was, especially in the early morning. I enjoyed having a quiet swim before breakfast while the sun was just coming up. The room was comfortable and well maintained, and everything worked as expected. Nothing felt forced or artificial. It was just a comfortable hotel with a great pool and a team that clearly cares about keeping guests happy.
This hotel is ideal if you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing place in Crete. The surroundings are beautiful and the view from the hotel is lovely. The room was comfortable and cleaned regularly. Staff were polite and helpful. We left feeling rested and satisfied with our choice.
