We arrived late, hotel was pretty quiet and had a quick smooth check in. We stayed half board, room 528, on the 5th floor (tip take the lift near the pool for quicker access) Gorgeous spacious room, with bathrobe slippers, fluffy towels, tea, coffee and nespresso machine. Flatscreen TV, does have app channels plus Netflix etc. There are also vanity kits, shaver kits and shower caps, and a range of complimentary toiletries and also ladies a decent powerful hair drier that you can properly blow dry your hair. Slept really well the room was quiet, some noise from the road, but not enough to disturb sleep. (This room faces the pool and sea so entertainment is this side and is on until around 11) Breakfast.. This hotel does breakfast so well, it has everything, juices, fresh pancakes, the usual English breakfast items, fruit, cakes, everything really. Toaster is the usual, comes out same colour as it goes in, even after multiple attempts. The breakfast area is really big although on our last morning there was 300 for breakfast and really busy.. prior to this it was a quiet affair. Feedback: chocolate breads and croissants are kept in warmers which makes them soggy rather than crispy. Dinner.. was surprisingly good, there seemed to have a theme each night, Greek, Tex Mex, Italian, and Chinese, range of salads, cheeses and meats, eggplant dip is divine… and the desserts are out of this world, particularly the baklava, and the delicate cakes. Special mention to Meghan who was a superstar and very polite. Feedback everything should be labelled: my son has an egg allergy and I had to double check just in case. Pool area: There are plenty of tables and chairs around the pool, however not enough sun beds, which I did find slightly irritating, there are cabanas but these are 20 euros to hire, which include water and fruit platters.. however during my stay they were hardly used. I will mention the staff did a stellar job as there are rules that you are not allowed to reserve the sun beds, they do a good job of enforcing, I did witness an entitled girl arguing with the lady who worked in the bar regarding this and it was bratty behaviour, but she handled it well. Pool Towels are 10euros to hire available from reception. Feedback: Consider removing the cabanas and having more sun beds, spoke to a few people who went to the beach and dined out around there spending 40-50 euros on lunch, we did this on a few days when we couldn’t get sun beds. Potential lost revenue for the hotel v the cost of cabana rental.. Entertainment - I watched some of the entertainment from my balcony, it was fairly decent to be fair Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Arte Hotel, all of the staff go above and beyond, even remembering little touches such as remembering I have wine with dinner. Special thank you for your understanding over the half board issue I raised. Would I return… Absolutely

We decided to split our holiday with a few days in Rhodes Town before heading to Lindos. We chose Arte based on reviews and the photos - I think they are realistic. Arte hotel is easy to reach by bus from the airport (a bus for €3.50 pp, about an hour). The position means the beach close by is quite windy, but if you stroll along to Elli beach (north) it is much calmer and there are beach clubs with sun loungers around. The hotel itself is well positioned, you can walk to medieval town within 20 mins and the marina is only 30 mins away. Our room, 303, looked out to another building, it was under construction so not great, but it doesn’t really matter if you aren’t using the balcony (although we would have liked to). Room itself is comfortable with a good ac fitted in. The breakfast is good, lots of variety but they do not offer freshly made to order omelettes - something that for me personally, elevates the breakfast experience on holiday. They also have a station to make a Greek coffee for yourself. They had entertainment and on Monday there was traditional Greek entertainment which was fun. You can see the passion and enjoyment from the entertainers - Stavros was fantastic. Overall, if you aren’t planning on spending too much time in the room this is a good option. They also have a pool which is better sheltered from the wind and catches a lot of sun. We did order food from the bar, which was ok. I like that the wine by the glass is served from small bottles. Overall - I think it does the job and would recommend.

Been to this hotel when it was the Aglaia then the Agla first went 35 years ago havnt been for 10 years and it's had a lot spent on it. Complete waste now sterile with no character or atmosphere. Bar all but disappeared pool moved and shortened and rooms a bit pokey especially bathroom and toilet. Staff friendly but not the characters of old. Like many other previous guests we met we will not be returning. A great pity my father in law whochad stayed there over 100 times also bitterly disappointed
