Aulus Lindos Rhodes, Curio Collection by Hilton

Not 5 star. I've never written a tripadvisor review before. But didn't want others to pay for an experience advertised that they will not receive at this hotel. We booked a whirlpool bungalow suite. The whirlpool did not work. No power, no lights, no jets, nothing. We asked for someone to have a look. They came for all of 5 minutes and left without answers or when it could be fixed. This went on for 2 days, and when it did finally work, it was filthy. We had no hot water to the room, constant phone calls to reception to resolve, and again took 2 days before it was somewhat fixed so we could have a luke warm shower. The phone in the room to try and call reception to remedy these problems half the time did not work. The WiFi did not work for most of the first day. The tv did not work the first day. The spa was not fully open, the bars and snack restaurants advertised as open, were not open throughout our short stay. Air-conditioning also didn't work in the room for the first day. The a la carte restaurant we had booked, was unexpectedly closed without any warning, leaving us with a choice of 1 other, or the buffet. Staff on the whole were helpful, but you got the impression they knew how bad it was, and could only help so much. Trying to order any cocktail or drink from the pool bar is pot luck, they may have the ingredients, they may not, you never know depends who you asked. And if they do, you probably won't receive what you asked for anyway. When they ask you to pay a five star price, this is not what you expect from a '5 star hotel'. We did manage to speak to a manager who was apologetic and understanding, but still could not give us another room or any other solution, or timelines for when any of the problems could be sorted. This is not a 5 star resort. Who ever they hired to photograph this place, and make it look as good as it does online deserves alot of praise! In the end we left after 2 days, and would have left sooner if we could.

We had the most incredible stay at Aulus Hilton Rhodes - honestly, one of the most beautiful hotels we’ve ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the perfect balance of luxury and coziness. It’s unlike any all-inclusive we’ve stayed at before, everything feels so thoughtfully designed, well-structured, and effortlessly organised. The atmosphere is amazing, with great facilities, multiple restaurants, and something for everyone whether you’re visiting as a couple or with family. The food was consistently fantastic, the drinks were great, and the service was truly impeccable. We never once felt like anything was missing as every detail was taken care of. A very special thank you to the lovely Thalía, who made our stay unforgettable. She is genuinely one of the kindest souls we’ve met, always going above and beyond to make us feel special and cared for. It’s rare to come across someone who delivers service with such warmth, attention, and authenticity. She is a real credit to the hotel. Thank you for such a memorable experience! We’ll definitely be back 🤍

A short 5 night break for the wife’s birthday. As a diamond member the staff were very helpful before our arrival offering transfers and a nice touch with an upgraded room, cake and prosecco on arrival. The hotel had only opened that day but the food was good and the staff friendly. A thoroughly enjoyable break even if the weather didn’t play ball for all of our stay.

The hotel is visually appealing, but unfortunately that’s where the positives end. While the staff initially seem helpful, they frequently say they will check with a manager and then fail to follow up, which happened multiple times during our stay. The food quality is disappointing. In the buffet restaurant, meals are often lukewarm or even cold. The à la carte menu is very limited, and notably lacks traditional Greek dishes you would expect. What is served there appears to be the same food from the buffet, simply presented differently. We also heard many other guests expressing dissatisfaction, particularly regarding their rooms, the poor food quality, and advertised amenities that were not actually available. Overall, the experience did not live up to expectations.

I had such a lovely stay and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better solo trip experience. Everything from start to finish felt smooth, welcoming, and genuinely enjoyable. A special mention to Thaleia, who took the time to help me with mixology – such a fun and personal touch that made my stay even more memorable. The rest of the team, especially reception and spa staff, were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made me feel comfortable throughout. I also really appreciated the flexibility with my late flight – they kindly extended my checkout time at no extra charge, which made a huge difference. On top of that, I was gifted a Tama as a thoughtful gesture for traveling alone, which I found so kind and unexpected. Overall, it was a really beautiful experience. I felt looked after, relaxed, and genuinely happy during my stay. I would definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone, especially if you’re considering a solo trip.
