Our experience at Domes was quite mixed. While there were some aspects we genuinely enjoyed, this property is marketed as a 5-star hotel and, in our view, it does not deliver a traditional 5-star experience. Pros The staff at breakfast and the bar were absolutely delightful. They were warm, friendly, and consistently provided the best service we encountered during our stay. The coffee at breakfast was a particular highlight. The breakfast food itself was decent, though not exceptional, and I would rate it around 6/10 for both quality and presentation. There are a few made-to-order items available, such as omelets, but specialty items like protein shakes come at an additional charge. Our private pool bungalow was excellent. We appreciated the privacy, and the views from the resort are beautiful. However, the room already showed noticeable signs of wear and tear, including scuffed walls, stained upholstery on the bed and sofa, and cracked marble around the sink. Cons The shortcomings were primarily service-related. There was no bell staff available at either check-in or check-out to assist with luggage. The welcome drink consisted of orange juice, which felt underwhelming for a property positioning itself as a luxury resort. If you hold Marriott Bonvoy elite status, do not expect meaningful recognition beyond a few basic gestures. We were also told that water was complimentary because the tap water on the island is not potable. In reality, only the first two bottles in the room are complimentary; additional bottles are charged. This felt misleading, particularly since most luxury hotels provide complimentary bottled water throughout a guest’s stay when tap water is not safe to drink. Turndown service was another disappointment. There is no turndown service on the day of arrival, and the service itself is extremely limited. Staff did not remove used coffee cups or glasses, empty trash, or replenish coffee capsules. Additional coffee capsules incur a charge. Guests must also request turndown service in advance, as it is not automatically provided. Transportation is similarly misleading and restrictive. The hotel offers only two complimentary shuttle trips into town each day, at 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Outside of those times, guests must either walk approximately 25 minutes uphill to Oia or pay the hotel’s arranged taxi rates. The spa facilities were also underwhelming. Access to the sauna and steam room costs an additional €25 per person, per day. In our experience, these amenities are typically included at hotels operating at this price point and star rating. Overall Ultimately, this property fell well short of our expectations and vast experience at 5-star hotels. While there are positive aspects, particularly the friendly breakfast and bar staff, the overall service standards, amenity charges, hard product quality, and lack of attention to detail do not align with what we have come to expect from a luxury resort. If concerns are raised, they are often met with attitude rather than meaningful resolution. For that reason, we would not return and would choose a different property on our next visit to Santorini. Based on our experience, we would rate this property closer to a 3-star hotel rather than a true 5-star resort.

My wife and I just checked out of Domes Novos Santorini and are now in therapy we are so sad to leave. What a wonderful hotel. It is just down the hill from Oia and an easy walk into town so you can escape the crowds for a bit of tranquility but have access to all the restaurants and sights. There is ample parking if one rents a car or buggy. The rooms are spacious and with a private pool for your room, it is just magic. BUT as is often said, "bricks and cement does not make for a great hotel, it is the people" and Domes Novos has extraordinary staff. First off is the Front Desk staff who from the first minute to the last were very helpful (thank you Elektra). The bell team and housekeeping were always ready to help. Then the amazing Glykeria at the concierge desk who was fabulously helpful with reservations and guidance as to where to go and what to do. Having the great breakfast with the great view was made special by Anatoli and team every morning. And then the martinis! Christos made the best one of our four country trip on the first night but then Eleni made an even better one on our last night.......OK it was a tie. A wonderful property with wonderful staff makes for a wonderful stay.

We had a great vacation at this amazing restaurant. Great service at the restaurant by Eleni , Ionna, Alexandros. They are just awesome. They know how to provide great customer service. Awesome cocktails. Spa service was awesome too. Highly recommend this place when in Santorini.

An exceptional stay at Domes Novos Santorini Autograph Collection. The property is beautifully designed, combining modern luxury with the timeless elegance of the sea on the iconic island of Santorini. Our suite was spacious, immaculate, and offered stunning views. The team made us feel very welcome with a thoughtful welcome package upon check-in. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is peaceful and refined, and the private pool by the suite was perfect for relaxing. The service was outstanding—attentive, warm, and seamless. The hotel concierge recommended two exceptional restaurants: a romantic venue with breathtaking views and a wonderful tavern by the water. Breakfast was also excellent, with high-quality food and presentation. A truly memorable experience. We would wholeheartedly recommend it as a place to relax, recharge, and enjoy nature and beauty.
