AluaSoul Zakynthos

We had a wonderful stay at AluaSoul Zakynthos and were very impressed with the hotel. We especially loved the My Favorite Club area. It was peaceful, relaxing, and definitely worth the upgrade. The hotel was exceptionally clean, the food was varied and tasty, and the overall atmosphere was fantastic. What really made our holiday special was the staff. A huge thank you to Ioanna, Anna, Sabina (if we remembered the name correctly) at the Fancy Bar. They were always friendly, welcoming, and made every visit enjoyable. We'd also like to thank Renato at the Kentia Bar for his excellent service and great attitude. We also want to compliment the hotel management. This is the first time we've seen a management team genuinely going above and beyond to make sure every guest was happy and enjoying their holiday. Their care and attention to detail really stood out. Thank you to everyone for making our holiday so memorable. We would happily return and highly recommend AluaSoul Zakynthos to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

We’ve just returned from our fourth stay at AluaSoul, and that probably says everything. Zakynthos has a very special place in our hearts, and AluaSoul has become our home away from home. We’ve even recommended the hotel to friends, who have since visited and loved it too. The hotel enjoys a fantastic location, and although some of the rooms would benefit from a little refurbishment, it never takes away from the overall experience. What truly makes this hotel exceptional is the people. Alex, Tony, Mania and the entire team are the reason we keep coming back. They go above and beyond every single day, always greeting guests with a smile, remembering people, having a laugh, and making everyone feel genuinely welcome. Over the years, they’ve become more than just staff—they’ve become friends. They create an atmosphere that simply can’t be taught, and they deserve huge recognition from the management. The food is varied and consistently tasty, with plenty of choice throughout the day. The My Favourite Club is well worth it, although we’d love to see the Fancy Bar stay open a little longer, and some additional cocktail training would help make the premium bar experience even better. There are a few small areas that could be improved, such as refreshing some of the rooms and paying a little more attention to housekeeping and room maintenance. However, these are minor points and certainly don’t stop us from returning. Thank you once again to Alex, Tony, Mania and the whole AluaSoul team for another wonderful holiday. We’ll definitely be back—hopefully for an eighth visit very soon!

We were a bit dubious before arriving at the hotel after reading some comments about the food being bad but we can honestly say the food was good. It was always hot, well seasoned and plenty of choice. The salad bars were amazing! We chose to pay a bit extra for My Favourites Club and it was definitely worth it if only for the pools, view and number of sunbeds available at all times of the day. There is a separate pool bar and more drink options, the strawberry mojito was amazing. You can also use the a la carte restaurant as many times as you like. All of the staff were so friendly and can't be faulted. Overall I would say dont let the bad reviews put you off going, we had the best time.

Terrible hotel not a 4 star more like a 2 star we were told by the travel agent at Barrhead travel that as we dont like sitting at the pool we could sit further down at the bottom of the hotel near to the sea as it is breezier Booking in at reception we were informed that if we wanted to sunbathe there it would cost us 55 euros per person per day to upgrade to this area Obviously the travel agent didnt pass this on to us either out of ignorance or because it was a last minute booking (2 days prior) and we paid in full If you paid the £700 per couple per week all you got extra was use of their infinity pool , sunloungers and an exclusive bar which shut at 5pm and arrival drinks in your room fridge which once used up you had to pay for replacement also there were about 10 tables cordoned off at the same restaurant for their sole use. upgraders I spoke to were not happy with this . Reception and bar staff were friendly emough and drinks were ok but the food wasnt very good and not varied at all We were A/I bit ate out every 2 day of our 11 nights stay. Jet2 brochure states ther is a beach 350 m from hotel but is a public beach with about half a dozen loungers and brolleys you could hire. The sea is lovely and can be reached by a public jetty at the bottom of the hotel Jet2 also states there are 3 bars but dont mention that one is only for upgraders the other bar is open from 10 am till 12 pm but after 11 you have to pay The lobby bar is open 5pm till midnight but again after 11 you pay the bar area looks nice but if your a party of 4 you cant really sit together as space is limited Entertinment is poor especially during the day Jacamo and Adam the entertainment guys were so lazy its unbelievable Jet2 states there is aqua aerobics,team games,raquet sports , volleyball and french boules we asked about all these activities andwere only offered boulles twice in our 11 day stay and thid was on a verysparse and rock hard piece of grass under someones balcony which was totally useless Runnibg joke each day was requesting aqua aerobics to be told water polo might be played but it never happened in our full stay ,neither did volleyball or table tennis as the table was broken and the volleyball court was neglected and full of weeds (photos to be attached) The two guys attended each morning with stretch mats under their arms spoke to various guests then put them away again they only took a class twice and this lasted 10 mins they did a darts game on a horrible old board a couple of times but thats it ,they were totally disinterested when we asked for various activities and just hid away from everyone The security guy in the morning came on shift at 07.30 and immediately started lifting towels off the loungers even though the users had just left for breakfast which opened at the same time , as the restaurant was above the loungers guests would shout at him that they had only just vacated the loungers secons before and complaints were made re same to hotel management things didnt change Jet2 rep took our complaints re the brochure being misleading but informed us that it it up to the hotel manager what is put in the Jet2 brochure and this cant be amended by Jet2 head office( cant believe this) I know this is a long critique but the hotel is terrible and I will not return and would not reccommend it to anyone as did most of the guests there

Poor food and accommodation had to eat out for the 7 days no way is this a 4* hotel needs a lot of work done on it paint peeling on steps and around pool, broken tiles lying around grass not cut, around pool under sunloungers dirty etc. AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!!
