Honestly dont know where all the bad reviews are coming from. Currently staying here with my partner (leaving tomorrow). The beds are huge and super comfy, aircon is an absolute dream! Clean rooms and bathroom, with a safe and a fridge!! Honestly couldn't find anything wrong with the food as it was all tasty and hot! A wide varieties of meats, salads, seafood, carbs, and cheeses, dips/sauces (tzatziki is lush!). I honestly couldn't wait to go to have lunch and tea! Didnt see nych of a repeat of food being served (hot food) which was nice as i try anything! Having the al a carte tonight so cant comment on that. Didnt need the staffs assistance when there but the ones I spoke to were all lovely and helpful! We stayed all inclusive, which means we didnt have access to all if the bars, loungers and pools around the hotel but didnt make our experience any worse! Its €55 per person per day if you want to use the My Favourite Club for a day, which for me didnt seem worth it. If I was to come back I think id book MFC for your loungers and pool right outside your room! Didnt have a massage whilst there so cant comment on that. Location: There's a few restaurants near by, and a little beach behind the hotel, pharmacy and plenty of shops for snacks and drinks for the room! You'll need to get bus or taxi if you want to venture elsewhere on the island. There's a place round the corner from the hotel where you can book trips to turtle island, shipwreck etc, and it picks you up and drops you off there which is really handy :) First time we wanted to lounge by the pool all beds were occupied in the sun, but other times after that there was plenty available. The only grumbles I have about the hotel are... - the nighttime entertainment doesnt last long enough on the evening! - the hotel claims to remove towels off sunbeds if not occupied within the hour but they do nothing about it, that i ever saw. - no music playing around the pool and restaurant (my own opinion id quite like that, just at a low volume so its not silent). Overall, I think this hotel is worthy of the 4 star rating as ive thoroughly enjoyed my week here!

I had a really good massage from Paola. She did a very good job. I was totally relaxing. It was a very good start for the holiday.

We booked the hotel off the back of the incredibly strong reviews it had received at the back end of last year. I was disappointed at the start of this summer season that the majority of the reviews were negative and it appeared standards had slipped. I did send an email to both Hyatt and the hotel expressing some concern and asking what was being done to eradicate the issues. Christiana (from hotel FOH) responded and explained, in depth, the steps which were being taken to restore AluaSoul to its former glory. Location - we paid for private transfers which took around twenty minutes from the airport. There are a couple of nice bars immediately outside the hotel (Ark bar especially) and also a couple of very well stocked shops, one of which has a great dog with a proper waggy tail outside, please give him a stroke if you pass. I walked down into Tsilivi a few days which is probably half an hour each way. A lot more going on down there, I personally wouldn't recommend the walk as there are a few blind corners. I knocked it on the head after nearly getting wiped out by a scooter. Food and drink - the food was ok. If you want to eat Greek you should go out as it very much caters towards the British. The chef seems to cook the pasta for about 8 hours on 400 degrees, which was fine because that managed to heat up the cold pasta sauce one day. All the fruit was fresh and there was a lot of variety. Beer was awful. Cocktails were good. Didn't try the wine. Entertainment - not for me. We were among some of the younger people staying in the hotel and ventured out the majority of nights. Staff - can't speak highly enough of all of them. Of the ones we encountered, Mania, Sabiola, Franko and many others were wonderful... Tony was great.... but Ioanna was exceptional. Down on the Fancy Bar for most days of our stay, she was super friendly, always smiling and so hardworking. She is a real credit to the hotel. We also had the pleasure of talking to the manager of the hotel who has been transferred from Spain in order to turn the hotel's fortunes round. It seems to me he is doing a good job, as there was a marked difference from our first to last days.

The hotel staff are fabulous. All were friendly and helpful. I had massage in Aegeo Spas, Paula did a great job. The food was fabulous, I always found something to eat. The choices were great and varried. We choose to go all inclusive and we got a great choice of drinks. A lovely pool. Great spaces to relax. The entertainment at night was very good. We met some lovely guests too. I would definitely book again.
