Ammos Villas

Wonderful stay at Ammos Villas! The location is lovely, comfortable apartment and the owners Lina and Dionysis were so kind and generous, would happily return!

Wow! Ammos villas is such a delight of a place to stay. This small resort ( only 6 villas) is family run and the owners cannot do enough for you. You are treated like old friends, honestly the warmest reception you can imagine. We even arrived to a selection of complimentary local produce from their farm. They also run a car rental with very reasonably priced car hire. The villa itself is huge, we were 4 guests ( 2 adults and 2 children) but it could easily sleep 6 people comfortably. The kitchen is well equiped, with a spacious lounge area, and beautiful balcony too. Whilst there isn't a pool directly attached to the villa there is one 150 m down a path at the Amigos pool bar, again a lovely family run bar with a wonderfully clean and safe pool with free sunbeds if you buy a drink/ food from the bar. The area itself has plenty of local restaurants ( you have to try Kostas brothers and Skartsofoli) and the beaches are beyond expectation (expect to pay for sunbeds). If you want to step away from busy resorts and experience Greece at its finest this really is the place to stay. We would recommend hiring a car to get to some of the remote beaches (Dafni beach is a must visit) and see more of the island. Beautiful local beaches : banana bay, Porto Azzuro. Both worth a visit. They are walkable if you dont have a car.

This place is beautiful, spacious and perfectly located if you like the quieter side of holiday locations. We couldn’t believe it, open plan kitchen/diner/lounge downstairs then two spacious bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, plus a lovely balcony large enough to fit two sun-loungers and a table and chairs for four. Absolutely fabulous! Oh, I haven’t mentioned the warm welcome from Lina, who couldn’t have been more helpful, and the complimentary bottle of local wine. Yamas!

We spent a week here - five people in two apartments (though room for all of us in one if I’m honest). The apartments were large, clean with air conditioning, good facilities too. The owners were wonderful. Friendly and helpful, quickly sorting any issues that arose. There is a beautiful shared garden and bbq area with a wood fired pizza oven too. Plenty of parking. A couple of minutes walk to a small beach. Close your eyes grocery shops and restaurants. We were left a welcome gift consisting of homemade wines, honey, bread, a huge piece of cheese, eggs and more bread arrived later in the week too. The apartments have a dishwasher and washing machine, outdoor dining on the large balconies, TV. We really couldn’t have asked for more.
