Lesante Cape Resort & Villas

Came over for an engagement, and already planning the honeymoon We arrived via a transfer the hotel had booked via emails, welcomed in immediately by the 2 men at the front. We sat down and were offered drinks from Sarah while our passports were taken (they were returned within minutes). Our room was ready for us, which we thought was amazing because it wasn’t officially the time to ‘check in’, and they didn’t even charge extra. Sarah took us to our room, and she wasn’t kidding when she said we had been upgraded - we had a pool!!!! We looked at the kids club because we plan to have children with us on holiday soon, and it’s open for around 10 hours a day - the longest kids club we’ve known. We booked Bostani for a night, because the night we wanted was fully booked. It was nice, but near the cooking was really too much, and at the end of June? I couldn’t imagine being there in the heat in August, but food was really good. We asked Sarah for seafood, and she told us for a lobster night. The saxophone was amazing. You should do this for the saxophone alone, because it was so nice. Food also very flavourful, but offered water and assumed free because it was offered, but no it was on the bill. I don’t mind, but be clear if something is offered, or if something is paid for - just the principal. We didn’t do the taverna, or the other poolside one, as we went out, but I would recommend the Fiore lobster night. If you need a taxi, precook it with Sarah, other wise there is a long wait (up to 25 mins) Sarah is there morning, afternoon and evening. She even helped us not in uniform (wr think she had finished) one night after midnight but still called us a taxi, and spoke with us until it got there. Long story becomes short: you will LOVE your stay, Sarah will help you with everything you need.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Lesante Cape and Spa. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and helpful. The reception team made check-in seamless and were always on hand to assist with anything we needed throughout our stay. The hotel itself is stunning—beautifully designed, exceptionally maintained, and set in a fantastic location. Every area of the property is immaculate, and the facilities and services are of the highest standard. It is clear that great attention is paid to every detail, creating a truly relaxing and luxurious experience. A special thank you to Marcel, Ellie, Amalia, Kostas, Alexandros, and Sarah for their outstanding hospitality. Their friendliness, attentiveness, and genuine care made our stay even more memorable. They are a real credit to the hotel. We would highly recommend Lesante Cape and Spa to anyone looking for a first-class holiday experience and look forward to returning in the future

We booked this hotel at last minute (less than 24hrs before arriving) due to a change in original plans and wow glad we did as this was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve stayed in, felt very spoilt. We arrived using their hotel transport which was comfortable and driver was very friendly and very informative on the local town and island. Check in we were greeted with a warm welcome and a lovely lavender cocktail. Our villa was ready and we had a tour of the village on a buggie before arriving at our villa Nerouli. The villa was amazing and decorated in a rustic way. Liked having the little kitchen and the bar was refreshed each day which was included. The private pool and veranda was huge and boats beautiful views of Kefalonia mountains and mainland Greece, sunsets were lovely to watch. The staff made my stay special as we were celebrating my birthday and sent a happy birthday message with a yummy tart. Also got a parting gift with a few special items from the local village shop. House keeping were lovely and did amazing g at cleaning the villa while we were outside. The villa was situated opposite the all day restaurant Novita which we dined at for an extra charge and the food was amazing, big portions. On my birthday which was a Monday they have a Greek night included in the half board which is unlike anything I’ve experienced before in Greece, traditional dancing and everyone gets involved and plate smashing with amazing Greek cuisine. Breakfast each morning was a very good variety and loved the lattes. It was great to get to know the staff as you can see them at breakfast and in the restaurants for dinner. On check out we got an extended time in the room and explored the beach bar after check out. Check out transfer again was comfortable and efficient. I would definitely recommend this hotel its staff went above and beyond and were so friendly throughout the village. Will definitely be coming back in the future but for longer!

We have just returned from a holiday at Lesante Cape and the setting and hotel itself is stunning. By far the nicest hotel room in which we have ever stayed. We booked sea view rooms which weee quite a bit more expensive but worth it. Staff were all consistently friendly and professional. We were in rooms 133 and 134 - special mention goes to the turn down staff - they went the extra mile. Our room was always left lovely in the evenings. Some reviews have mentioned that not enough bottled water was left in the rooms but if you contact reception amd ask for more, they will arrange for as much as you want to be delivered to your room. There were a few minor downsides which, for an extremely expensive luxury hotel made us rate the hotel a 4 star. There was a bottle of complimentary white wine in the room on arrival but unless it is chilled, the gesture is very much the promise that doesn’t deliver. It’s not of much use on arrival unless it’s in a bucket of ice (or even the mini bar fridge. Breakfast can be a bit chaotic- you can wait up to 15 or 20 minutes for a coffee. There is one member of staff running one large coffee machine to serve everyone at breakfast. Staff are all working flat out and doing their very best, but more are required. Other than that, the breakfast is good. The food, and particularly the drinks are extortionately priced. We paid over 50 euros at dinner for exactly the same bottle of wine that we had had elsewhere for 23 euros. In the restaurant by the pool it was 39 euros for a few lonely lamb chops on a plate and a further 6 euros for a small side salad. A few dried up chicken nuggets and chips to the room 40 minutes after ordering were 15euros each (but there was a 24% service charge on top of that, which we hadn’t noticed on the menu. The pool is a perfect temperature for July - cold in the morning but heats up with the sun. However, if I was coming here May/June/September or October, I would find an unheated pool unacceptable. Unless you have kids that would enjoy a pool to themselves, I would caution against booking a room with a “private pool”. They are so overlooked, we could have chatted to the people below us and they look boxed in with a view of a hedge. The hotel lacked a bit of atmosphere for us in the evenings (but that is just a personal preference). It’s 30 euros return in a taxi to zante and there are nice restaurants and atmosphere. The Yard of Tastes is particularly good. There’s an Italian restaurant on the corner of the main square that is also excellent. Overall - we enjoyed the experience - good for families with young children or couples. I think teens would be bored.

Had a very relaxing week at Lesante Cape. Beautiful hotel and lovely grounds. We would have liked a bit more signposting around the outdoor spaces and maybe a more detailed explanation at check in where everything was. Surrounding area was more isolated than we had imagined so we hired a car to get around and it was just a short ride into Zante town. The room was very stylish with plenty of storage and bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping was generally good, and anything that was amiss was sorted out quickly. Turndown service seemed erratic - think we only had that one evening. The private pool area was very clean and pool wasn’t as cold as some people have mentioned. Internet signal outside was intermittent. We found the breakfast to be amazing, the best croissants we’ve ever tasted and the quality of all the food was excellent - there was so much on the buffet that we didn’t need the à la carte menu. Great service and attention to detail. In the evenings we tried the Taverna a few times and thoroughly enjoyed the live music and delicious food, although be advised the portion sizes were huge. Bostani restaurant was nice although seats were bit hard and there wasn’t many vegetarian choices. We did ask if we could swap our evening meal for lunch one day, as we were eating out in Zante Town, but sadly were told this wasn’t possible, which is a shame as many other Greek hotels have allowed this swap without any issue. Slightly disappointed with Novita restaurant, I had ordered crispy zucchini as a main with side of french fries, and we also had sweet potato and meatballs. Ultimately this turned out to be three plates of fries and three meatballs for €98! We really enjoyed the ice cream shop and there was never anyone in there! Visited the spa and booked a couples massage which was a very relaxing experience. One small point which we noticed was that certain members of the male staff would say “good morning Sir” and completely blank a female guest, which was a bit rude! This aside, all the staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. On departure day we received best wishes (and even hugs!) from some of the breakfast staff. Overall a lovely holiday and would definitely recommend.
