Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree

Our stay was extremely disappointing and, unfortunately, a complete waste of money. The staff were not accommodating at all and showed very little willingness to help with even simple requests. Before our arrival, they were informed that it was my wife’s birthday, and we specifically requested a birthday cake to be arranged. Despite the confirmation, nothing was done, which was very disappointing. We booked for a family of five (3 adults and 2 children aged 12 and 9). We were unexpectedly told to book an additional tent. While the online price was SGD 550, the resort charged us even more, claiming it was because of the peak season. It felt like they were simply looking for an excuse to charge extra. The worst part of our experience was during dinner. A friend was planning to join us, and we requested that they be accommodated. We clearly stated that we were willing to pay any additional charges, but the staff refused without offering any alternative solution. Because of this, we ended up not having dinner there and had to leave without eating. Overall, the lack of hospitality, poor customer service, and constant focus on charging extra made this one of the worst travel experiences we’ve had. I would not recommend this property to anyone looking for a welcoming or family-friendly stay.

He was always happy to help, answered our questions patiently, and made us feel genuinely cared for. His professionalism and warm attitude made our experience even more enjoyable. Toby great!!! We had the best time. Kids loved the zoo. We even got the chance to have breakfast with the animals. Staff were incredibly helpful.
