Beautiful, elegant, quiet hotel - we stayed in the Pacific Club Balcony Rooms with access to the 11th floor Pacific Club for breakfast. It was such a treat to be able to dine outside for breakfast. We also enjoyed complementary afternoon tea, and canapés/ cocktails in the Pacific Lounge. The selection and display of the meals was outstanding as was the friendly and attentive service by Richelle, Raicy, Charity, Dewana and Pushpa. They made our stay so warm and welcoming and were always ready with a smile and an offer of help. We will be back!!
Krásný, praktický pokoj se vším, co si jen můžete představit. Hotelový servis na nejvyšší úrovni. Postele příjemné, vybavení kávovarem a porcelánem samozřejmostí. Pokoje má i balkónek s výhledem do atria hotelu. Kousek od metra a velkého shopping mall, kde můžete nakupovat nebo jíst.

We paid $677 for Clarence’s birthday staycation at Pan Pacific Orchard, expecting a proper five-star experience. Unfortunately, the service, cleanliness and maintenance were poor across almost every department. At check-in, the staff gave us incorrect information about ordering minibar items through the QR code. The swimming pool area was dirty, with leaves scattered around. What made it worse was that two crew members were hiding behind the bar, singing and laughing instead of attending to the area. Despite the obvious mess around the pool, neither of them showed any initiative to clean up or assist the guests. Our room had a mouldy smell, the blackout curtains had a gap that allowed bright sunlight into the room early in the morning, and the soundproofing was terrible. We could clearly hear guests talking next door and people speaking outside our room. The lifts were also poorly maintained, with visible hair, dirt and fingerprints. Breakfast was the worst part of the stay. Cleanliness appeared to be almost non-existent. Tables were casually wiped, and we witnessed a staff member using their leg to kick a chair back into place. Cutlery was then placed on the table for the next guest even though the table had not been properly cleaned. The food was barely replenished, and we repeatedly had to ask the staff to top it up. Eventually, we gave up and went to the club lounge just to have a proper breakfast. The poor service continued at the concierge. The staff member simply dropped our carpark ticket onto the table without handing it to us properly, making eye contact or even acknowledging us. We raised all these concerns with the front desk manager because we genuinely wanted the hotel to know what we had experienced. Instead of listening carefully, asking for more details or offering a sincere apology, she laughed and immediately offered to waive some charges before we had even finished speaking. We declined the discount because we were not trying to get anything for free. Instead of acknowledging our feedback, she asked, “Are you sure you don’t want it?” Clarence replied that we did not need any waiver and that we would pay for everything we had spent. We were simply giving honest feedback so the hotel could improve. This was meant to be a special birthday celebration, but it became a deeply disappointing stay. For a hotel marketed as five-star, the service, cleanliness and staff attitude felt closer to a two-star standard. The entire experience was unacceptable and certainly not worth $677.
