Mondrian Ibiza

Despite being a great hotel, it shows serious inconsistencies for a 5-star property. The reception is beautiful and well-maintained, but the air conditioning doesn't work, leaving the staff to rely on portable fans. The rooms are gorgeous and modern, but the AC unit fails to properly cool the room, and in my case, the minibar wasn't working either. The Japanese restaurant is spectacular; however, Sonrojo—which serves the best meat on the island—provides terrible service and made us wait 2 hours on a regular day with no lines. The concierge is helpful, but failed to fulfill a basic request: reserving a beach umbrella. For all these reasons, it feels like this hotel is rated one star too high. A special shout-out to the Portuguese staff led by Jaime and Marta.

Disappointing I had high hopes. The main pool area with the kids pool, is super super loud from the DJ playing hard house. It's mostly families lounging in this area so i'm unclear why they've ramped up the volume it makes no sense. The kids pool is tiny and un shaded. There is a wet deck at Hyve hotel next door with a shaded area , but the vibe is different there and it's defo a younger crowd and separate to Mondrian. Our room had zero view which is a shame, as it's a beautifully located hotel and you want to see a view from your balcony. Also the cleaner missed cleaning our room on a few days, plus randomly our toothbrush went missing and they threw away a bit of art my daughter drew. I informed the hotel and they just said 'sorry about that'. The breakfast was great, but would've been nice to see more options for kids like freshly made pancakes It feels like they are missing the fact that their main customers are families

Our stay at the Mondrian Ibiza was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this is a place run with genuine care and passion. The hotel itself is stunning — beautifully designed, elegant, and with an atmosphere that makes you never want to leave. What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was Ruth Martin, the Head of Operations. Her professionalism was second to none — warm, attentive, and endlessly competent. She has a rare gift for making every guest feel genuinely valued, and she handled everything with a friendliness and grace that set the tone for the whole experience. The entire team deserves the highest praise. Every single staff member was courteous, helpful, and clearly proud of the work they do. It's obvious that this level of excellence starts at the top, and the hotel's manager should be immensely proud of the outstanding team and culture they have built. El hotel en sí es impresionante — de un diseño precioso, elegante y con un ambiente del que nunca quieres marcharte. Sin embargo, lo que hizo nuestra estancia realmente inolvidable fue Ruth Martin, la Head of Operations. Su profesionalidad no tiene comparación — cercana, atenta y absolutamente competente. Tiene el don, poco común, de hacer que cada huésped se sienta verdaderamente valorado, y lo gestionó todo con una amabilidad y elegancia que marcaron el tono de toda la experiencia. Todo el equipo merece los mayores elogios. Cada uno de los empleados fue amable, servicial y claramente orgulloso de su trabajo. Es evidente que este nivel de excelencia empieza desde arriba, y el manager del hotel debería sentirse enormemente orgulloso del extraordinario equipo y la cultura que han creado. Nos fuimos con recuerdos maravillosos y no podemos esperar a volver. ¡Muy recomendable!

We stayed as a three generation family group and everything was as we had hoped. The location is perfect with the clean safe sandy bay, the swimming pools also clean and with beautiful sunbeds and never too busy. Great pool people. Rooms are clean, spacious and light (not much hanging space) excellent shower and a well furnished balcony. Kids club was fun for a couple of sessions, restaurants are varied and food good especially Niko. The breakfast is superlative with big buffet and also waiter a la carte: think avocado on sourdough, eggs benedict, pancakes, all kinds off egg etc etc. Handy jetty with boats to Formentera and Ibiza town All this is topped off with the friendliness of the staff throughout the hotel, we couldn't fault it so thank you for a great holiday.

The Mondrian is a beautiful hotel, with nice facilities and great staff! The rooms are very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the breakfast, poolside cocktails and I highly recommend dinner at the hotel's restaurant, Niko. The location is nice, a little out of the way, 20 minutes into Ibiza town. The only reason it's not a five star review is we found the shared set-up with the Mondrian's "sister hotel" - Hyde - a bit irritating and confusing. The pools are shared (nice!) but the sun loungers are not (so even if some are free, you still can't use them) + access to the beach club is an additional cost, even for hotel guests.
