Just home from San Miguel park & Esmerelda park... What can i say... If you are not very good on your feet, this place is definitely NOT for you as there are many steep inclines, and a lot of steps... even thought the ad says a slight incline..this is definitely NOT the case!! Initially finding our apartment was a bit of a challenge, Was taken to the apartment block by car, the driver pointed in the direction of our apartment and his exact words were "Your apartment is over there"... helped to get bags out of car then he left!!...Not very helpful..could have at least shown us where the aparment was....But that would have been too easy!!! Although we were half board we went for evening meal only a couple of times during our stay (Not breakfast people so cannot comment on breakfast)... the nights we did go to the restaurant the food was either luke warm or cold and pretty tasteless.. I did notice and found it strange how the food was not rotated it was a case of new food put on top of food that was already on the hotplate (Not sure but that may Violate food safety and hygiene regulations in the Balearic islands as it does in the UK) We struggled a bit finding our way around the site as there was very little to no sign posting.... while looking for easier ways to get around the site we found there are many paths that led to dead ends... the sign postings that are there are A4 sheets of paper laminated but they only gave apartment numbers and no directions... to be fair reception did give a map!! The Apartment (1 bedroom flat) was a decent size cleaned everyday if need be and clean soft towels, The beds were reasonably comfortable, it made me chuckle the 1975 style safe in the room (done its job though).. (A double built in wardrobe and there were more than 3 coathangers)... We did pay for a sea view but this was not the case (little bit of false advertising going on there I think!!), we ended up with a partial sea view and the beach.. the other views were not bad either!! For me the living /kichenette area could do with a little updating as they looked tired and well used which is understandable.. the kitchenette is well equipped (everything except washing up liquid and cloths/sponges which I wouldn't expect to be supplied) Bathroom have a walk in shower, Plenty Storage for lotions/potions and anything else needed in the bathroom, there is also a hairdryer!! reasonable sized balcony.. The balcony had plastic chairs and table, There was only a small waist height wall separating apartments. The staff were nice, friendly and helped where they could. Although we didn't use the pools the pool area's seemed clean/tidy and had plenty of sun loungers All in all if you enjoy sitting by the pool all day this is for you... If Like us you enjoy exploring your options are pretty limited..unless you rent a vehicle!! There are a few things to do.. The Cave's, There is a road Train which we went on and that was for 3 hrs stopping at various places (they have two or three different routes) A ten minute walk mostly downhill and you are at the beach where there are a few shops, restaurants , Drinking establishments... getting back to the apartment was a bit of a challenge as 95% was uphill!! Would we return to Port San Miguel... Up to now its a No... But who knows, may give it another go in the future. Santa Eulalia is defintiely worth a visit, it is a beautiful town!! Top tip:- If you enjoy jumping on the local busses my advice would be to plan ahead, make sure you have your travel sorted both ways as the busses are NOT regular at all and we found a couple of the bus times online were wrong so had to taxi back to the hotel because we missed the bus (Wrong times online)... We were charged just over 35 euro for Approx 14 miles!! Also Remember your Mozzie/insect repellant!!
We had a Seaview room up the top of the mountain. It was a trek up to the room, but it does warn you on the Jet2 site so no surprise. You do get a fantastic view as a reward. The apartment had plenty space for all 5 of us and towels changed every day except Sunday. The whole hotel was kept clean and tidy. Don't expect the top bar to open on time. Food was very repetitive and the restaurant is much too small as the hotel gets busier. Kids enjoyed the entertainment and the beach is a 10 min walk away with plenty fish to spot. You can get the bus to EsCanar if you want a day out to somewhere a bit livelier.
Good value hotel in lovely quiet resort, food is varied and really good. The beach and kayaks etc provided by the hotel are worth an outing. However we are currently staying here and the steepness of the complex is not reflected honestly in the details on the Jet 2 site we booked through, we are plenty able to get around but I wouldn’t suggest it to anyone that has mobility issues, likewise the pools are 0.9 m at the shallow end, great for us who can swim but not a lot of choice in you can’t. I wouldn’t suggest NOT suggest this resort because whilst the noise from the bar is minimal the rooms above you have no sound proofing between you and them, so even though the beds are comfortable if like us you have a group above you that are very loud then don’t expect any sleep or help from the hotel. The upper rooms extend over the balcony of the rooms below . So loads of potential , but don expect to sleep if you’re in one of the rooms below an extended balcony. And lack of assistance from the reception area. Rest of the staff are brilliant.
Gorgeous location in north Ibiza. Very quiet but a few nice bars and eateries within walking distance. The rooms were big and very clean. Beds very comfortable. Rooms cleaned every day. Staff were all so friendly especially the bar tender whose name I regret to say I can’t remember but he was so amazing. Great with our toddler to. Food was hit and miss for all inclusive I think next time we would do B&B. We got a car and highly recommend doing this to explore. The nearest beach is lovely and rustic too. Had food at the restaurant on the beach a few times and enjoyed!
We stayed here for 5 days with our granddaughter who was 6. Room was lovely and clean with a balcony overlooking the pool. The pool was perfect for her and we had a problem getting her out of there. The buffet was quite good with a variety of food available. Easy walk down the hill to the lovely beach which had some great beach restaurants. Staff were really friendly from reception, restaurant and animation staff. Overall great for what we wanted.
