Sarena de Muro Resort Mallorca (ex. Palace de Muro)

Beautiful, spotless, stylish, newly renovated hotel in a quieter area (less than 15 min drive from Alcudia and a 5 min walk from the local 'high street' Playa de Muro). Great breakfast albeit found the hot options lacking. Room and bathroom a good size, only thing I would say there wasn't much room for clothes after unpacking. We were in the main building which was a great location close to reception. Really well kept hotel with beautiful views. Really loved our stay. We stayed for 4 nights end of May. Will most definitely return. There were younger kids there but not sure there would be much to do for older kids. Overall would highly recommend.

I'm afraid our experience felt promising but - overall - it was not 5 star. This may be because we visited at school vacation time and the overall vibe was dragged down to 'three star family fun'. Although the staff within the hotel reception, bar, and restaurants were all lovely, this property is highly inconsistent. It has beautifully decorated and airy public areas, pretty gardens, the rooms are comfortable with very good bathrooms, and there is a signature a la carte restaurant and smart bar. However, these are underused. The hotel, when we visited, had a very different character in its buffet restaurant and - especially - pool area. The pool and buffet are not relaxing and nothing like a calm and rejuvenating five star experience. At breakfast and dinner, elbows flying and babies crying, and staff rushing to cope with demand. At the pool, dive bombing, shrieking children, fretful toddlers, food trays lying around long after snacks and greasy meals have been consumed, insufficient sunbeds and parasols, blaring music, harassed staff. The pool area feels like it belongs to a completely different property. This hotel needs an adult pool to complement the family pool and a total rethink of its market. If you are looking for luxury and calm you won't find it for many months of the season. The food was excellent, the team try hard and are kind, and the setting is special, but it was in no sense relaxing and - on balance - felt like an opportunity Hyatt has missed.

Great timing maybe as this lovely hotel received an annual refit over this winter. Absolutely spotless everywhere with super friendly staff, super outside pool area and fantastic breakfast food. We haven't yet eaten here for dinner but do look forward to that. Beyond the pool is a easy access to the sandy beach, looks great but it was windy from that direction so we didn't really use the beach. Quiet hotel, on the main rd although you can't hear that from our poolside rooms. The indoor pool looks really nice too!

What an amazing and enjoyable holiday at the Sarena de Muro Resort - Mallorca. We would like to say a great big Thank You to Joan, Maria, Tatiana, Jara, Agos in Reception and Bar. Including all of the staff in the restaurant too. All our needs were met. The hotel accommodation was very high standard and beautiful location. We will be returning in future.

The hotel was lovely as it was recently restored since Hyatt bought them out. I had high expectation given that everything is new. However, it seems like everyone is still getting used to new management. The breakfast experience was anticlimactic.. never got a table outside and at some point they even gave my table away while I was grabbing food. The pool was nice but then closed at 8 which is quite early. They don’t mention that you can utilize the indoor pool either. My friends and I had a few drinks at the pool bar and they thought they could charge us for more than we had to drink so that was annoying. Definitely review receipts before handing over payment. The tv offered no streaming services. I didn’t mind using my personal accounts but they didn’t have the option. They only allowed you to cast from your phone. Which is fine if it was working. We were unable to watch any tv during our stay. Lastly, the fire alarm went off at 1 am during our last night there. It was obviously unsettling and when we reached out to front desk, they made it seem like we overreacted. This experience was terrible since we had an early flight the next morning. Overall, not at all what I expected from a resort.
