Alua Illa de Menorca

This was our second visit to Alua Illa de Menorca, and we're delighted to say it didn't disappoint—in fact, it reminded us exactly why we chose to come back. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. Walking into our room to find a lovely welcome-back card and a bottle of champagne waiting for us was such a thoughtful surprise. It was a wonderful personal touch that made us feel genuinely valued as returning guests, and it set the tone for another fantastic holiday. Our room was spacious, modern, and immaculately clean throughout our stay. The beds were extremely comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and there was plenty of storage space. Housekeeping did an excellent job every day, ensuring everything was spotless and well-stocked. It was the perfect place to relax after a day by the pool or exploring the island. The entertainment team also deserves a special mention. They worked tirelessly to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere without ever being overbearing. There was a great variety of daytime activities for those who wanted to join in, while the evening entertainment offered something different each night. Whether it was live music, quizzes, or professional shows, there was always something enjoyable to watch, and the atmosphere around the hotel in the evenings was fantastic. The food was excellent, with a wide selection available at every meal. There was plenty of variety, and everything was fresh and well presented. The restaurant staff were always friendly, efficient, and worked incredibly hard to ensure everyone had a great dining experience. What really makes Alua Illa de Menorca stand out is the people. Every member of staff we met—from reception, housekeeping, restaurant staff, bar staff, entertainment, and maintenance—was friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. Their hard work doesn't go unnoticed and is a huge part of what makes this hotel such a wonderful place to stay. A huge thank you to everyone at Alua Illa de Menorca for another unforgettable holiday. The thoughtful welcome-back gift, your exceptional hospitality, and the consistently high standards throughout the hotel made our second visit every bit as special as our first. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, friendly, and enjoyable holiday in Menorca. Further to this make sure you visit the Night Market in Mahon organised by the hotel on Tuesday evenings. We already can't wait to return for visit number three!

Arrived back home from Menorca last night and it was one of the best holidays we’ve been on! The hotel was absolutely spotless, the staff were amazing and despite S’Algar being a very quiet resort, there was SO much to do at the hotel: Lovely clean pool area, never a struggle to get beds by pool! Tennis courts, padel courts, bowls, basketball court, football pitch, crazy golf, table tennis, and then lots of activities with the reps if you wanted to take part! There’s a lovely sports bar located by the tennis courts which serves beautiful coffee - not the machine type that’s in the restaurant etc, and it’s all included on the AI - we asked for iced coffees which wasn’t on the menu but the staff happily obliged. Entertainment was good, food was good too - always hot, varied and enjoyable. Drinks were plentiful and a huge variety - lots of cocktails included on the AI too. The reps were amazing; I hardworking, friendly and enthusiastic. Not only do they manage full days of activities and entertainment, they take the time to chat with you. Doru was lovely - took the time to get to know our family and always looked pleased to see us! Ray runs the entertainment team fantastically - they are a credit to the hotel. Mandy on reception - the best! We arrived late at night and Mandy took us straight to the restaurant for food. She checked us whilst giving us lots of useful information and advice - but with real care, attention and enthusiasm, none of the robotic, heartless introductions - It felt like a family member was welcoming you to their home! The chef was amazing! My daughter is Coeliac and the chef came out to her every time she was in the restaurant to show her which foods were gluten free and even cooked her her own food if she required - he made her GF pizzas, carbonara etc - it was such a relief knowing that he cared enough to ensure she could eat as well as the rest of us! Despite the hotel being at 98% capacity, we never queued at a bar or for food - it didn’t once feel crowded and we felt so relaxed!! There’s an amazing beach bar just at the bottom of the hill - another smaller bar, a couple of supermarkets and a restaurant too… so not much outside of the hotel but lots of towns to visit in just a few mins taxi ride! We walked to some of the most beautiful coves - really straightforward and well worth the 15 mins stroll. Would recommend this hotel for couples who want a chilled break and those with older children who are happy with a relaxing holiday and no tacky town 😅 We will definitely be back!

Relaxing week, first time in Menorca. Very quiet resort but enough entertainment and activities at the hotel for us. Great hotel, very clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. All inclusive was good with plenty of choice in restaurant, and food was fresh and replenished frequently. Hot food served hot. Plentiful drink options. No beach in resort, but access to the sea for swimming and snorkelling. Would love to return and explore more of this beautiful island.

Fantastic hotel. Exceptionally clean. Friendly staff. Great food. Loads of sunbeds. Quiet location for a very relaxing stay or a great base to explore with a car.

The location of This hotel is in a very quiet area so if relaxing is what you want this will be for you, Hotel is immaculate, rooms get cleaned every day and the beds are super comfy, rooms have hairdryer with diffuser, coffee machine, fridge and safe, we had a room with a large terrace and sunbeds, these rooms had sun all day also on the first floor, only thing which I wasn’t bothered about was the room said it would have robes and slippers but did not. Animation team where fantastic especially the Dutch girl she’s was excellent and also Rebecca on reception. Food was amazing for all inclusive I really enjoyed it maybe too much 😂 Also drinks very good Dinkys and jumpers bar very good ( not included in all inclusive) but good for a change
