Have been to the hotel 3 times can’t fault the rooms and the cleaners are fantastic rooms were spotless all the staff are a credit to the hotel but they have this French company that have come in and it’s all about the French at 7 o clock at night when you like a pre dinner drink they are having a French musical quiz there is different nationality’s here it’s not fair spoke to other people and they was not happy you could have kept jumpers bar open as for the food it was not good breakfast and lunch were fine but the evening meal was not good the first week we was there it wasn’t bad but the second week it was poor it was like you was using everything up because you are closing down and to keep shutting the pool bar that wasn’t good

I don't normally review hotels until after I have left to ensure I give the full picture, but this is the exception. First the positives, staff are friendly, it's clean the rooms are fine, plenty of seating and sunbeds. They have some sports stuff which have been good so far and some of the entertainment has been good also (shout out to funky town who were outstanding). However the reasons I booked it are absolutely absent. So far no pool snack bar, were told it weather dependant, but that doesn't seem the case at all, seems like it's shut down for end of season. So no hot dogs, burgers, pizza etc. There's a few snacks on the bar, mostly egg sandwiches and fruit, absolutely not what I expected with 2 teenagers in tow.... Food, breakfast has decent sausages, but how is there no hash browns or similar? Lunch and dinner I hardly bother with, absolutely shocking options, second worst AI I've been to, maybe it's out of season scraps, but it's very poor variety even for my OH who eats a variety of everything. Drinks, advertises eristoff and Moskovskaya vodka but it's actually just Rushnikoff which is about 7 euro a liter and cheap as hell, no quality at all. I asked at both bars and they both only have the cheap stuff, so absolute false advertising! The serve yourself soft drinks at the bar also doesn't work so you have to queue for a coke. 2 euro for pool table is a joke, when you advertise it but charge twice the rate of other hotels I've been to it's just bad optics. We leave before 12 but there is also a cut off of 12 for you day leaving, doesn't matter if you arrived at 8pm, your still cut off at 12. Doesn't matter to me but feels like penny pinching, only AI I've been to that has done this. Also the sister hotels are closed so can't even visit those to get decent food, etc, maybe my fault as it's classed as out of season but I wasn't aware Overall the hotel is nice, plenty of seating and sunbeds, nice staff, but is not what I paid for, you can't even go room only as there is really no where else to eat, maybe 2 restaurants in walking distance, and I didn't see any bars, so your stuck with the poor food and cheap alcohol. Would I visit again, no, does this make me wary of Hyatt group, yes. Maybe it's due to being near the end of the season, maybe they should close 2 weeks early and not disappoint their guests, I don't know? There's nothing around, the local shops are poor so your kinda stuck. Sad as the reviews were making me excited for the holiday, but it's just below even my basic expectations of an all inclusive 4 star, only my worst 3 star hotel holiday disappointed more than this, but that was 3 star and half the price.

Just back from 10 nights and glad to be home the food here is terrible out of 10 nights we ended up eating 2 days I day they did pork with vegetables for dinner then again the day after did it for lunch and evening meal then another day they bacon as evening meal then again the next day for breakfast lunch and dinner complaint to hotel manager who said they did have beef earlier but it was gone by 715pm if you are going to do 3 hours meal settings make sure you have enough to do the whole service we could not go out to eat as there are no local bars or restaurants hotel is very clean but that is the only good thing about this hotel if you seat at the pool bar be prepared to be bombarded with files and wasps absolute boardam as no music or anything to do in afternoon and if your like me I can't get on sunbeds there was no shade for people who seat on 5he chairs if you smoke take your own ashtray as the don't provide them on the balcony and you can only smoke outside main entrance or by the green bins I will definitely not come back to the hotel or the island

Fantastic experience throughout the hotel. Food excellent, with good varieties for everyone. Staff friendly & helpful. Spotlessly clean.

Went 4th to the 11th October, wife, myself and our grown up daughter (who needed a break). 2nd time at this hotel in 2 years. Perfect, and any moany people on here (and many moan for no reason!) please take what they say with a pinch of salt! Location, 15 mins from airport, 15 mins from Mahon, 15 mins from Cales Fonts (beautiful harbour and lots of places to eat). S'Algar is small and quiet, a bar or two by the sea, also a nice bar in the square (just dont eat there!). Hotel rooms, spotless, sea view is perfect, cleaned and fresh towels daily. Tea/coffee and a large bottle of water in the room. Reception, open 24 hours a day, any issues or help, they are on it immediately. Reception staff all brilliant but a special shout out to the lady from Wolverhampton who has been in Menorca for 50 years and still has her accent, so helpful! Bar in the hotel, we went all inclusive so any drinks we wanted including cocktails were available, oh and the measures are huge! Drinks, soft and alcohol along with hot drinks available all day. Restaurant, brekkie, lunch and dinner all perfect. Fresh, clean, very tasty. Yes there's a lot that is on each day, but also a lot thats different. Snacks available throughout the day along with ice cream. Pool, spotless. Last year we went in June, this year October and lots of free sunbeds both times. June water was warm, October a tad nippy. Entertainment, usual slightly cheesy evening shows (which is half the fun) but also some very good quality. Daytimes the entertainment team do ask if you want to get involved, aqua gym, water polo etc, but if you say no there's no pressure. Particular shout out to the young Dutch female entertainer (i've forgotten your name), you were brilliant! Cannot talk highly enough about this hotel and the staff, happy to answer any other questions? Will be back next year as this place ticks every box! Michael and Michelle Nixon
