TUI BLUE Angora Beach

We went at the end of September for the first time to this hotel and the area. My 1st impression was the rave reviews I’ve read were a little over the top but overall, it was a nice week away. The whole travel thing with TUI was a bit of a faff. They really don’t do short haul well. Long confusing queues at check in. Sun Express, not a great service on plane, they had run out of most drinks & snacks both ways. We eventually got there around 3am after several small delays along the way. However, it did take off and land safely! So can’t complain. We had a room with a pool, had it have been Summer it would have been a good position, sun from around midday till sunset. Pool was freezing but expected that as time of year. What you did get was your own deck and space which is plus if you don’t want to sit round the pool. I would recommend if you’re thinking of getting one. Rooms were nice, clean functional, enough room for everything. Shower wasn’t the greatest, but they’re always hit and miss at these hotels. TV had nothing on it, we don’t really watch TV much but we had 2 days of rain so we gave it a go, nothing much in English and couldn’t get NETFLIX to sign in. Probably could have got someone to look at it but read instead in the end! Food was good, usual buffet food. Salads were very good. Lunch at the choose from menu restaurant was nice but if you were there longer than 1 week you would run out of options. Burger, kebabs. The restaurant that you could visit once a week was delicious definitely book that in. The bar was nice for a few drinks before food; there was entertainment as well which seemed popular. The cocktails were like rocket fuel! Wine wasn’t great, just about drinkable. Staff were lovely, very helpful. There’s a lovely doggie there. Probably the only time we struggled was service at the buffet restaurant. We ate latish around 8 o’clock and I think the guys had completely had enough of being on their feet all day by that point and were hard to get eye contact if you wanted a drink. There are cats, if you leave your patio door open, they will attempt to get in! We don’t mind them. They appear to be looked after. There were some kittens, I think the staff do what they can. Having walked around outside the hotel it’s a problem for the area. There is nothing to do in the area, heading out of the hotel towards the beach turn right you can walk for around 2 miles I would say, maybe a bit more. The small night market is that way, we did visit but it felt a bit unfriendly, so returned back to hotel (they close the beach side gate – so head for front of the hotel) Turn the other way from the beach and its even shorter. The beach itself is a very small strip with sunbeds on for the hotel – it may be more in the summer months if the tide goes out further. There’s a little shop in the hotel where we bought some Turkish delight for us and some presents. It was very nice, probably around the same price as the airport so good to support the shop to make sure it stays there. We had a good relaxing week away; you could hear a pin drop across the resort most of the time which we loved! We wouldn’t return but I think it’s a nice hotel if you’re looking to relax.

We absolutely love this place! Thank you so much to all the staff who make Angora Beach so wonderful! Nothing is too much bother for them and they are so friendly and keen to make sure you are happy and enjoying your holiday. I have coeliac disease and I felt so safe and well looked after in this regard too. The food is delicious and great drinks too! Thank you very much too to our housekeeper who did great cleaning as well giving us some great surprises. We love the beach and the swimming pool and the spa and the cats! The tui trip to Ephesus was amazing, incredible, with an excellent tour guide, Esra, too! Thank you so much to all the staff from waiters and bar staff and chefs and management and cleaners and everyone else behind the scenes for a most wonderful holiday - we hope to return very soon and again and again!

Great hotel, clean with delicious food available at all times. Good weather for this time of year, some hot sunny days, some cooler with rain and wind. Very friendly and helpful staff including the reception, waiters and especially those leading the activities such as the exercise classes, mini golf and Turkish language lesson. Had a great trip to Ephesus- well worth the visit. Also had a relaxing full body massage in the spa. It’s a quiet location at this time of year which suited us. You can walk a long way in both directions along the sea front.

A beautiful oasis! Service at the hotel was second to none, I have a muscle illness which means I have trouble sitting on low chairs, but the staff were there everytime I arrived with extra seat cushions for me to sit on. The drinks tended to be on the strong side but just ask for a 'small' drink and it was perfect! The entertainment was very good for this time of year, there were a few outside acrobatic shows and other days were in the bar area. We enjoyed a delicious meal in the Culinarian restaurant with lots of choice of food and wine. The buffet was standard, omelettes were lovely but took a while to cook and always a queue for them, so be prepared to wait. Otherwise there was a good variety of food and everything was tasty, although there was a lot of turkey on every meal time. The TUI rep on site was very friendly but was limited on her English so sometimes didn't understand the questions we were asking but we got there in the end. We stayed for a week but felt a lot longer as it is such a relaxing place to stay, the gardens and plant life were stunning to walk through every day. We had a ground floor room with own pool which made the holiday even better as we didn't have to worry about getting a sunbed around the main pool. There are plenty of cats around the hotel but these are extremely friendly and well looked after by the hotel. Overall a fantastic holiday and have already booked for next October! Only negative we had was that the individual pools had no handrails which unfortunately made it impossible for me to get in or out of, although my husband made good use of the pool, I had to resort to having a quick shower to cool down as the pool was not accessible for me.

Great experience at the resort! The service was great, everyone was very attentive and you weren't long without an offer of help at dinner or in the bar. The cocktails were nice, but drinks tended to be a heavy pour so if that isn't your thing make sure to ask for them a bit weaker. The entertainment is very laidback the majority of the time, some nights were big shows but largely it takes place in the bar and is very laid back so you can still enjoy a conversation. We had one meal in the Culinarium restaurant which was delicious and there was a lot of options. The buffet was very good and changed a lot daily, everything was delicious. If you had different dietary needs then it seemed like they were well catered for with covered gluten free areas, lots of vegetarian foods, and also diabetic desert options which seemed really inclusive. As lots of people say it really is in the middle of nowhere but you don't need much outwit the resort, although if you need things from the shop then go up to the Sok at the main road as the on resort mini mart is quite pricey. We went on 2 day trips, one to the Selcuk market and one on a boat trip, both were good but very busy and the transfers took longer than the TUI rep had suggested. We only went for a week and I would say you need longer as a lot of the tours are on the same day and take the full day so can conflict. We went to the spa and had Package 3 which was great and very relaxing! The spa was clean and reasonably priced, however, if you go in intending to use the 15 minute free massage voucher I can guarantee you will be upsold to buy a massage or package at the spa. The cats around the resort are very friendly and will jump onto your sun lounger without prompting, was a nice edition for us and it was lovely to see them well looked after. Also, make sure to introduce yourself to Lucky the dog who I think is the best employee at the hotel!
