TUI BLUE Angora Beach

Perfect hotel - perfect holiday! Our first time to the Angora Beach Hotel and to this part of Turkey. We can’t fault the hotel with amazing facilities, a 36 metre pool, loads of comfy sun beds and sun umbrellas, lovely gardens and the food was amazing! We bonded with the staff who were very friendly and helpful. There wasn’t much to see locally, but we enjoyed jumping on the local busses to local resorts and markets. We also enjoyed going on 2 TUI trips to Izmir and to Ephesus and the Virgin Mary’s house. Would highly recommend this hotel.

We arrived late in the evening and received a warm welcome and refreshing drinks. We were pleasantly surprised when we were told that there would be something to eat in the restaurant and burger and chips was cooked for us- delicious!. The rooms in the hotel were laid out in blocks of four, two up and two down and were spacious. Our room got the late afternoon sun and it was lovely to sit out on our balcony with a drink before going to the restaurant for our meal. Our room was kept beautifully clean each day. We really enjoyed the food especially the home made breads which were baked daily by a lovely lady. We found that there was plenty of choice in the buffet restaurant at all meals. One night we booked the Culinarium. We don't usually bother with this in a TUI Blue hotel but we were really glad that we did. We had four courses and could have had six. The food was definitely more haute cuisine and was really tasty. The service was excellent and we had a lovely evening. The bar staff were very friendly and accomodating and we were happy with all the drinks we had. I mustn't forget to mention Thea's coffee shop. They had a lovely range of coffees and cakes. We joined in with darts which was so much fun. My husband enjoyed going in the gym and I loved the classes. Big shout out to Sam and Emre for making all of this so enjoyable. The main pool was great and a good temperature. There were always sunbeds available and mattresses provided. The beach was shingly so you definitely need beach shoes and sunbeds were available. A nice touch was the platform you could walk along to get into the sea so you didn't need to scrabble over too many rocks. There was some good entertainment in the evening. We really enjoyed the five piece girl band, the Havana Experience and the Turkish Night. We had a Hammam experience in the spa, which was very competitively priced if you are prepared to haggle. What a relaxing end to our holiday!The therapists were excellent! Elaine, the TUI rep, was lovely and was much more present in the hotel than other reps on other holidays. We did a trip to the Virgin Mary's house and Ephesus which was excellent. The tour guide on this trip, Esra was lovely and was extremely knowledgeable. Once you walked outside the hotel along the promenade it was very quiet and deserted. This suited us nicely, but if you want shops and entertainment in the locality, you will be disappointed. The hotel is great for a chilled out holiday. We felt that this,for us, was the best TUI hotel we had stayed in. Would we return? Absolutely!! Wow Wow Wow It's the 2nd time we have been to the Angora Beach hotel and still think the same it's a Hidden Gem. If your looking for a break away to do nothing but chill out it's the place for you. The hotel rooms are large and cleaned every day , the Staff are all so pleasant and friendly, the food is fantastic you get a great choice. If you are looking for loud music and a party atmosphere don't come here it's the place to come to really chill out Look forward to going back Regards Gaynor & David

We loved our stay here - no complaints at all. We usually never return to the same place but this has made it to our list for a crash holiday and we will definitely come back. Food good, drinks good, rooms lovely (we had a private pool room which was great), hotel itself beautiful. The beach may not be the best but does the job and has lovely views. Location is secluded but then we knew this when we researched our holiday and booked it. There are trips that can be done (we went to Ephesus) but this place is all about relaxing. If you want something more lively and lots of places to walk to then this place isn't for you. You can also get a local bus to Kusadasi. The staff are all friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Hoping that we got names right (quick looks at name badges) but special thanks to Yasin for looking after us at the bar in the evenings - we loved the old fashioned's! Also thanks to Habil at the relax pool bar for looking after us - always a friendly face. We will be back.

Lovely hotel, such a calm and relaxing place. The whole place is super clean and well looked after. All the greenery and flowers are lovely. Plenty of places to sunbathe during the day and the sunbeds with cushions are comfy. Room and bathroom are a decent size and nicely decorated although the bed and pillows were a little hard for my preference. Liked that the accommodation was in small blocks of just four rooms. Food was always good quality and cooked well but choices were a bit more limited compared to other Tui Blue hotels we have stayed in. The snack bar was nice for a change at lunch times. Drinks were fine, beer was always cold, local spirits were drinkable but cocktails were always a bit too sweet for me. The hotel is very remote with only a couple of supermarkets nearby. We went on the boat trip booked through Tui and I would recommend this, it was very good and a full day out. A couple of nights had a proper show on as the entertainment and these were really good. Other nights it was a little quiet as not much was going on. Overall a good week away but I may have struggled to stay longer due to how remote it was, the entertainment and the food choices. I would definitely recommend it for a short break to relax and get away from it all.
