Everything about our short stay was exceptional—from the stunning villas that offered both comfort and elegance, to the incredible professional staff!

I had high expectations based on the pictures i had seen, but the resort exceeded all of them. I had planned to stay for one night but ended up leaving four days later. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice and clean, and the buffet was amazing. The resort had cocktails for the guests, fun activities daily such as Swahili classes, henna painting for the ladies, live band and a Marine biology education centre. It truly is a hidden gem.

Our stay at Matemwe Attitude Hotel was truly unforgettable. We were celebrating 25 years of our engagement, and the team went above and beyond to make it incredibly special. They organized a beautiful candlelit dinner on the beach, complete with a 4-course meal—made even more magical by the full moon on April 2nd. It was a moment we’ll cherish forever. We stayed in a Couples Villa with a private pool, which offered pure relaxation and privacy throughout our stay. Every detail was thoughtfully handled by the entire hotel team—from the General Manager, Mr. Ravin, to Chef Sumesh and team (chef Musle), who ensured all our vegetarian meal requirements were perfectly met. Minishop in the premises was like convenient store where you pick drinks and bites/snacks for your room. We would highly recommend this hotel to any couple looking to celebrate a special occasion. It’s the perfect place for creating unforgettable memories filled with romance.

We have just returned from a truly wonderful week at Matemwe Attitude, where we stayed in Villas 38 and 39, and I still find myself thinking about it with a warm smile. This adults-only (18+) hotel is not just a place to stay, but a place where you feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. We traveled as a family, my husband and I (50+), along with our daughters aged 18 and 20, and it’s rare to find somewhere that suits everyone so perfectly. Here, each of us found something special to enjoy. Hotel: The hotel is new and beautifully designed, offering three types of villas. Everything you might need is there, and more. The eco-friendly concept is thoughtful and well executed without feeling forced. I especially liked the idea of replenishing your own minibar, such a simple but lovely touch. Territory: Walking to your villa is a pleasure in itself. Depending on where you are staying, you might pass through banana plantations or lush tropical greenery. The territory is full of life, flowers, birds, butterflies, and dragonflies everywhere. It creates a peaceful and very natural atmosphere. Restaurants & Bars:The food truly impressed us. We have stayed in many hotels, but the cuisine here stands out. There is a great variety of European, African, and Indian dishes, all prepared with care. We also discovered excellent Tanzanian wines and enjoyed the local Zanzibar beer. The quality in both restaurants and bars is consistently high. Beach: The hotel has two beaches, North and South. We especially enjoyed the South Beach during high tide; it was beautiful and memorable. Sometimes there was a bit of seaweed, but it was never a problem. The ocean here has noticeable tides, which makes it very interesting to watch. It feels like a living, ever-changing landscape. Activities & Entertainment: There is always something to do if you wish. One of our highlights was the ocean exploration, both interesting and educational. The entertainment team does a great job, always friendly and engaged. Spa: My daughter had a massage at the spa and was extremely happy with the experience. Bars: The bars are excellent, and the cocktails are delicious. The “Jambo Jumbo” cocktail is definitely worth trying. Housekeeping: A thank to the housekeeping team, everything was done quickly and professionally. A special thank you for the birthday decoration on the bed, which was a very thoughtful surprise. Staff: The waiters, bartenders, kitchen team, and all the staff are wonderful, professional, friendly, and always smiling. You can feel that they truly care about the guests. We would also like to sincerely thank everyone who made our stay unforgettable, especially Antony, Liku, Hassan, Nelsson, Thobias, and many others. And special thanks to the hotel management for creating such a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere. This was a truly special holiday, and one we will remember for a long time.

We stayed in the Deluxe Villas and had our own pool in the garden. The location is incredible with stunning views. A perfect stay for a Honeymoon and anniversary, very romantic. The Staff went out of their way to make sure you were happy and taken care of. The food was incredible and we even had some of the chefs walk around and chat to us.
