Calaserena Village

Byli jsme s rodinou loni. Kdyby stál pobyt polovinu, cena by byla odpovídající. Moře krásné, pláž taky, prostředí pěkné, rozlehlý park, což není vždy výhodou - k jídlu nebo na pláž daleko. Pro děti super vybaveno - hřiště, zvířata, čisté bazény, dětský klubík s českou animátorkou - super. Ale ven z areálu se v podstatě nedalo jít nikam, suchá krajina..nic. No a nejhorší bylo ubytování - nevím, jak se podařilo vytvořit tyto fotky, protože pokojíky byly opravdu malinké a nevybavené, koupelna to samé, žádné poličky, člověk si neměl kam dát věci. Jídlo bylo dobré, rozmanité, ale obrovská hala, hluk.. No a all-inclusive..prostě pití, co bylo in, bylo hrozné..kromě vody.., ale byl tam bar, kde si mohl člověk koupit jiné.. Ostatní turisté byli ve velké většině Italové. Málokdo z personálu byl ochoten mluvit jinak..

Lovely resort – the atmosphere is very scenic, and it feels like you are staying in the middle of nature. There is a wonderful beach within walking distance of the rooms. The resort is also very suitable for children. The whole area is very clean. The staff is very helpful and kind. They all speak English, which is not that common in Italy, so thumbs up. My special thanks go to Elena, who took care of us throughout our whole stay. What’s more, she is fluent in Czech, so we immediately felt at home. She was also extremely helpful with food and wine recommendations. Overall, our stay was magnificent. The hotel also offers horse riding, and my 4-year-old son was absolutely over the moon. We had to ride a horse every day! My special thanks also go to the staff who take care of the horses and organize the rides. They were always so warm and welcoming, and we felt very close to them. We were genuinely sad to leave. The horses are amazing, especially Nutella, Fragolina, and the little pony Zeus. :) Beach and sea As I said, the beach is wonderful, and the sea was beautifully warm and crystal clear. The only downside is that reserving sunbeds is quite expensive. I paid €420 for second-row sunbeds for 14 days. On the other hand, your sunbeds are guaranteed for your entire stay. Rooms The rooms are located away from the entertainment area, which is great because you can get a good night’s sleep. However, I found them a little outdated for a 4-star hotel, and they are quite small. The walls also feel like paper, so you can easily hear guests from the rooms above. That said, we didn’t come here because of the rooms. Housekeeping was efficient and the rooms were always clean. Food Magnificent. There is a wide selection of local cuisine, and we honestly couldn’t find much to complain about, except for one thing – the pancakes were really terrible. They definitely need some improvement. The restaurant staff were also very kind, especially Elena, as I mentioned before. Surroundings Apart from the resort itself, there isn’t much to do nearby. If you want to explore the area, you will definitely need a car. We rented one from a company in Cagliari because the hotel’s rental service was quite expensive, and everything went smoothly. There is also a small shop in the resort that offers almost everything you might need. The resort has several nice playgrounds for children, including a water playground. However, some of the equipment needs maintenance – for example, the water guns weren’t working, and neither was the seal. Activity point They offer many activities, although we only used the pony rides, as I mentioned earlier. Thanks to Fabianna for always being helpful. We also tried to book some tours through the activity point, and unfortunately, this was the most disappointing part of our stay. We wanted to go on a boat trip, but the staff couldn’t arrange it during our entire 14-day stay. When we finally managed to book it and confirmed that we would definitely go, I was told just two hours later that the agency had sold out the boat and removed the hotel guests from the booking. I found that unbelievable, even for Italy. It certainly wasn’t a 4-star experience. My son was really looking forward to the trip, so when I asked, “What am I supposed to tell him now?”, the answer was quite surprising: “Tell him it was cancelled because of the weather.” I’d rather not. Lying isn’t something I want to teach my son. Pools The pools are great, especially the one with the diving platform. I really appreciated that jumping into the water is allowed, which is quite rare these days and makes it much more fun for both children and adults. The only thing that should be improved is the pool ladder. It is too short and getting out of the pool is quite difficult, especially for shorter people or children. Summary I really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Friendly staff, excellent food, especially appetizers and desserts, decent mixed drinks. Beautiful clean beach. You have the same umbrella and sunbeds during the whole stay.

The animation team at Cala Serena is amazing! Always friendly, enthusiastic and professional, they make every day special with fun activities and great evening shows. They know how to involve both kids and adults without ever being intrusive. Thanks to them, our holiday was truly unforgettable!

This isn’t a plush, immaculately kempt resort. It’s dated in all aspects and even though renovations have been carried out in the accommodation, Its basic at best. Bathrooms are old and grubby looking with poor water pressure. It’s clean enough but not my usual standards. Thats not to say this isn’t a beautiful resort with lots to offer. There are plenty of positives here. The room cards seem to double as a bar card so even all inclusive customers have to present the card at the bar when ordering drinks. You have to add money to this card to purchase things that aren’t included like top end alcohol, specific ice creams and snacks. You even need it for a propper coffee at breakfast which a slow and frustrating affair, with one barrister for the entire dining room. It’s most inconvenient. When you arrive, you get about 25 bits of paper and cards and tags and it’s all very confusing. This needs to be looked at. There is an app to book restaurants and activities. Not very user friendly and you need cash to pay for some activities and cash for beach towel deposit of €10 each. You also keep your towel for a week at a time. It’s not a bad as you think it might me with drying racks on the balcony’s. You get issued sun loungers and an umbrella at the beach soley for your use during your stay, which is so nice not to have to worry where you might find a spot every day. Not very well catered at the beach though with just one small shack serving a limited selection of drinks. Not great for cocktails and not ideal if you are situated farther away. They like paper cups here which is good for sustainability and a good thing but makes the drinks taste funny. You have the same table for breakfast lunch and dinner. Smart idea. The food is okay. You have to remember they’re cooking on mass and the quality and variety are ok. I wasn’t wowed by anything. To get the best from this hotel you really need to be a suite guest as they have additional restaurants solely for their use. There were none available when we booked and not available for upgrade. There are other restaurants you can book into which are nice we visited El Gusto which was nice and the Le Onde at the beach. I’d swerve this one, not impressed. The pools are nice enough, don’t sit too near the outdoor toilets as you get a constant whiff if the wind is blowing in your direction. We always found beds. Most staff are limited with their English but that’s a me problem for not bothering to learn any Italian. The beach and sea is the star of the show here. You won’t be disappointed. There is a rustic forest that winds down to the beach with various activities on the way like horse riding, small children’s waterpark, floodlit astros and much more. This place is fantastic for small children. They seem to cater very well indeed for them. Lots of Italian families here with small children. For us overall, we had a pleasant experience. Relaxed, ate some nice food, took advantage of the paddle boards, tennis, archery and swimming both in the sea and in the pools. There is a doctor and medical centre onsite. Good hair dryer, 35 minute transfer. Nice staff. Enjoyed the beautiful Sardina. Here July’25 with my husband and two boys 12 & 13.
