The Reserve

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Reserve in Madeira. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome, and the level of service throughout our stay was truly exceptional. The staff were warm, friendly and attentive. Every detail had been carefully considered, making the whole experience feel effortless. It’s clear that a lot of care and attention goes into creating the guest experience at The Reserve. The combination of beautiful facilities, exceptional service and genuinely lovely staff makes this somewhere we would definitely recommend. Big shout out to our GEPA Alexandre as well as Jessica, Joao and Juan! We also had great staff at the spa, including Renato and Isabel. The cocktails evening for guests was a great touch - thanks Cristina! We absolutely loved our stay and would be delighted to return.

This is an extraordinary hotel, with the very best service. Having stayed at many top hotels, I was intrigued as to what the fuss was all about. I now know - this is a high-end hotel that focuses incredibly on service and the extras that make it stand out from the crowd. From being met on the tarmac when we arrived and taken round the queues at passport control (not expected), too the champagne in the Rolls Royce that collected us, to the dedicated PA on hand 24hrs a day, to the fantastic views from our room; it was all first class. Genuinely made our 20th wedding anniversary stand out as a favourite.

We stayed at the Savoy reserve for 12 days in Madeira and it was outstanding. Please bear in mind it is pricey, but for a luxury experience it wasn’t too bad at all. The staff were amazing, the room was fantastic. Restaurants were top notch, the Japanese restaurant being the clear stand out for us. It was our best family holiday to date. We stayed in IKOS in Greece last year which is also nice but this was a level up, but a different kind of resort so maybe you can’t really compare. We will go back again, probably for new year or an anniversary. The island was lovely too and would recommend, weather was cool, not too hot. Check out the windy app for temperatures as the normal ones were completely wrong, mostly it was 25 degrees give or take a little. We also brought golf clubs which they stored for us until we needed them at the hotel. Golf courses were great and friendly, my son is a beginner and it was no problem at all. Islands and wine tour were also pretty good. The island is very pretty with some picturesque hikes. We would highly recommend.

Staying at The Reserve was truly a fantastic experience - the hotel itself is beautiful and has all the amenities and restaurants you could want. Everyone working at the hotel is so kind and puts in so much effort to cater to the needs of the guests. The hotel was also very helpful in arranging all of our external experiences, activities and travel, and went above and beyond in catering to and accommodating my vegan diet. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Madeira!

My wife and I stayed at the Reserve at Savoy Palace for our honeymoon, and it exceeded every expectation we had. What made this stay so special wasn't just the beautiful property—it was the people. Every interaction left us feeling genuinely welcomed, valued, and cared for. From the spa, restaurants, and rooftop bar, every member of the team consistently went above and beyond. Some of our favorite memories were the 'Exclusively Yours' dinner, where the service felt incredibly personal. Diana, Mila, and Nicole were crucial in helping me find creative ways to surprise my wife. They also made us feel like regulars by the end of our stay. We'd also like to recognize Shisir, whose warmth, knowledge, and thoughtful wine pairings transformed dinner into an unforgettable experience. It's rare to find a hotel where excellence is so consistent across every department. The culture of hospitality here is truly remarkable, and it made the beginning of our marriage even more memorable. Thank you to Cristina and the entire team for creating an experience we'll never forget. We can't wait to return!
