Ammes Hotel…what a nightmare! - We booked a double room with seaside view…and they gave us a 3 single beds room with a bathroom…Oh boy! Water everywhere. Both the sink and the shower were clogged, causing the entire bathroom to flood every time we used them. Awful! The owner (reminded me of Scrooge) firmly refused to change our room even after the bathroom problems. He tried to fix the shower the entire stay…no privacy at all! After the second attempt to fix the drain, the water even started coming back up through the floor drain, making the bathroom feel dirty and unsanitary. Instead of changing the room (because that was not suppose to be our room anyway), he tried and tried temporary repairs to the same broken bathroom, without solving the problem. And the latrine smell was awful the entire vacation. - They charged us for air conditioning. - Checking late, they didn’t even offer us a bathroom/place to change while waiting. - We booked the vacation with Christian Tour and they didn’t help at all, they didn’t care. After all this time spending with the owner in our room, i said to the Christian Tour guy “let it go” because it was clearly not going to fix or change the room and I didn’t want to keep spending my vacation with the old owner in my bathroom. The Christian Tour guy even seemed annoyed that we contacted him related to the room misunderstanding. - Also the planes flying so close to the roof…aircraft pass directly overhead at a very low altitude. The landings are even louder than the takeoffs, each arriving plane sounds like a rocket launch. In the night are many private jets - but some people like this particular thing so, i guess it’s ok for those who love loud noises (especially at night when there are private flights). - The only thing i like is the location on the coast. - The cleaning ladies are very nice and hard working.

Still here and what a place , made all the better by the amazing isobella and her side kick George who both can’t do enough for you , isobella runs the pool bar like clockwork with her fab daytime food incl pizzas sandwiches and fries and great spot for evening drinks with fellow guests , lovely chilled out pool with plenty of sun beds to go around , plenty of nearby restaurants especially o Milo’s next door , bus stop near by to go to beaches and towns , all tho in flight path it is a great experience to see the planes coming in so low , so if you need any info about how to get around see the amazing isobella 😎

Stayed 7 nights in Ammes apartments with our young child. Location is 5 mins drive from the airport which was good after a four hour flight. It's on the bus route to the main town (takes around 45mins). Accomodation and pool were nice.rokma kept very clean and regular towel replacement. Traditional greek. We had a 1st floor apartment which means an enclosed balcony which was helpful with a young child, and we had lovely views of the sea and aeroplanes coming into land. Self catering facilities are basic... Fridge, freezer and a 2 ring hob. Cutlery and chopping boards, plates, bowls, cups and glasses. We cooked 2 meals in the apartment and most lunches. There is a shop 12mins walk (Katerina's) where we were able to buy all essentials and there is an ATM. Milos restaurant is next door to the apartments. We ate 4 meals there as we heard this was the best local restaurant. Very good food! Great being so close to a nice beach where we enjoyed swimming, along with the pool. The area is very quiet and no play park so kids need to enjoy the pool and beach. Would definitely return again. Additional info... Bring cash for the hotel tax, bring washing up liquid and tea towels. Pool towels are provided. A/C is around €7 per day. Buses are a few times per day and you cannot access the whole island so think about car rental if you want to explore. Definitely recommend staying here!

First we have the amazing Isobella isobella what a fantastic person who will go above and beyond to meet your every needs from drinks and food , and if you need any other recommendations, ie trips restaurants she is amazing and you also have George who equally top man what a fab place to stay , 5 mins from airport yes you are in flight plat but great spot all round , and Isobells food from pizzas to sandwiches are top notch 👍

Fabulous place , facing the sea. Typical Greek rooms. Lovely pool with a great pool bar. Quite a few restaurants within easy reach. Bus stop nearby . Theadora on reception is an amazing lady , extremely helpful and very friendly . The airport is very close to the hotel and planes fly over the hotel quite low , so will be noisy when they do , although they don’t fly in after about 10pm. Will definitely come back , if you want a slow pace holiday where you don’t need to be up to get sun bed ,no tourists shops ,this is for you.
