Ammes Hotel & Apartments

Arrived back from a lovely week at the Ammes apartments.The place is very quiet with repeat customers . Everyone is very friendly and helpful . The place is clean but dated. The staff work very hard to accommodate everyone . Ask and they will do their best to provide for you. Apartments are very basic but if you’re used to Greek self catering then you’ll be ok. Ask for a toaster and they will give you one. Pool and bar are lovely with good snacks and as previously mentioned the pizza are very good. Svoronata itself is very spread out so if you’re not a walker then it’s not for you. There are restaurants around that will suit most taste and we found the buses good .

We had a wonderful stay and would happily return. The hotel has the most beautiful sea views and is in an excellent location, just a short walk from the beach. The pool area is fantastic, with a great snack bar serving food and drinks throughout the day. What really makes this hotel special, though, is the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful, and they were absolutely brilliant with children. It quickly became obvious that many guests return year after year, and after staying here, we can completely understand why. We hired a car so that we could explore more of this beautiful island, and the hotel arranged everything for us at a very reasonable price, making the whole process incredibly easy. There is also a fantastic restaurant next door called Milos, which we visited and loved. It serves a great selection of seafood and meat dishes, and once again the staff were lovely and welcoming. A fantastic hotel in a beautiful location, with wonderful views, a great pool and, most importantly, genuinely lovely staff. We had a brilliant holiday and would definitely recommend it.

We stayed here the last week in July with our 6 year old granddaughter. It was a perfect holiday for us as it was lovely and quiet. Absolutely no sunbed race. In fact we'd often be the first ones round the pool at 10 am ish. There is a lifeguard on duty from 10 am. The tiles round the pool get very hot and also slippery when wet so would recommend pool shoes for the children. Pool towels were provided and there was a free safe. We opted not to have air con and we were fine - we had taken our own desk fan though. In other Greek accommodation we have been able to buy 6x1.5 litre bottles of water for 2.5 euros but unfortunately not here. We opted for breakfast and it was perfectly fine - probably not so if you like a big breakfast. There was tea, coffee, orange juice, Greek yogurt, honey, cornflakes, ham cheese, olives, tomatoes, boiled eggs,bread, jam, marmalade, cakes, fruit. Theodora would also do fresh scrambled eggs on request. The airport is so near -a very short 10 min transfer. The accommodation is right in the flight path but didn't bother us -you do get used to it after a couple of days. We found all staff very friendly - especially the cleaning ladies. All in all a lovely week.

Still here and what a place , made all the better by the amazing isobella and her side kick George who both can’t do enough for you , isobella runs the pool bar like clockwork with her fab daytime food incl pizzas sandwiches and fries and great spot for evening drinks with fellow guests , lovely chilled out pool with plenty of sun beds to go around , plenty of nearby restaurants especially o Milo’s next door , bus stop near by to go to beaches and towns , all tho in flight path it is a great experience to see the planes coming in so low , so if you need any info about how to get around see the amazing isobella 😎

Stayed 7 nights in Ammes apartments with our young child. Location is 5 mins drive from the airport which was good after a four hour flight. It's on the bus route to the main town (takes around 45mins). Accomodation and pool were nice.rokma kept very clean and regular towel replacement. Traditional greek. We had a 1st floor apartment which means an enclosed balcony which was helpful with a young child, and we had lovely views of the sea and aeroplanes coming into land. Self catering facilities are basic... Fridge, freezer and a 2 ring hob. Cutlery and chopping boards, plates, bowls, cups and glasses. We cooked 2 meals in the apartment and most lunches. There is a shop 12mins walk (Katerina's) where we were able to buy all essentials and there is an ATM. Milos restaurant is next door to the apartments. We ate 4 meals there as we heard this was the best local restaurant. Very good food! Great being so close to a nice beach where we enjoyed swimming, along with the pool. The area is very quiet and no play park so kids need to enjoy the pool and beach. Would definitely return again. Additional info... Bring cash for the hotel tax, bring washing up liquid and tea towels. Pool towels are provided. A/C is around €7 per day. Buses are a few times per day and you cannot access the whole island so think about car rental if you want to explore. Definitely recommend staying here!
