Just got back from a 5 night stay We booked a last minute break through TUI , flights were on time and easy . We wanted an old school Self Catering break to somewhere chilled and we couldn't have picked a better location or apartments . 5 mins from the airport so we was round the pool an hour after landing, its fun watching the planes fly over while sunbathing, We stayed in a 2 bed duplex , 2 bathrooms and kitchenette terrace GF and small balcony FF Basic but clean and suited us perfectly , we paid 100 euros for the air con it 2 areas. Always could get sunbeds , didn't matter what time of the day , all brits staying while we was there so everyone friendly and chatty. ammes beach 5 mins walk, and enough tavernas to walk to. We also got taxis to Sea Salt and the Avithos preview taverna , cost 17 euros in taxi each way but well worth it , they are both worth a visit and 5 star restaurants with great food. We was lucky enough to have views from the balcony - we could see the pool, sea and the mountains - bliss Positives Chilled vibe clean location lovely pool bar open all day till midnight Pool open till 8pm for late sun good air con Negatives - I'm struggling tbh Don't go here if you aren't great on your feet , walking to shop, beach or tavernas are up/downhill Cocktails at the bar are crap and expensive at 10 euros (drink beer instead lol) NO microwave or oven if you did want to cook. (we didn't) so to round up , if you have booked here looking for a relaxing , break in beautiful Kefalonia you won't be disappointed . We hope to return in September .

Very short transfer so it’s very close to incoming aircraft (I loved seeing them) but there is a bit of noise as they land. Very close to 2 beaches a handful of restaurants and a supermarket. The bus stop is also close by. We wanted a fly and flop holiday so for us this was a great place. The room was adequate but basic. It was very clean, the bins were emptied every day and sheets and towels changed mid week. There is a fridge, kettle and a hot plate but that is all, a toaster would have been useful. There is limited crockery and glasses (one per person) but we ate out every night so only needed a cup for morning coffee! The staff were pleasant but not very forthcoming (I think they were shy!) The beer from the pool bar was served in iced glasses which was excellent. The pool was great, very clean and plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. The sunsets are beautiful. Make sure you take cash for the tourist tax and also for air conditioning. We wanted to pay by card but the ‘machine’ wasn’t working so be aware. The WiFi is a bit hit and miss at times. There is building works going on immediately next door which we were told about but there is some noise and if you’re in the reception block (I think it’s D) you have a great view of the construction site and little else. It’s a shame because before the building work the views would have been great!! All in all for a 2* resort it was good.

Just got back from 2 weeks at Bessies Village. Had an amaxing holiday and will definetly return. We had a duplex maisonette which was spacious and clean with basic self catering utensils, crockery and cutlery provided. Sheets and towels were replaced every 3 days and bins emptied daily. The staff were great and could not be more attentive, we asked for a hair dryer as an example and they provided one straight away, what more can you ask for. The pool was cleaned daily, it is a big pool and the sunbed area is not cramped at all. We never had to set an alarm to get sunbeds as there was genuinely always spare beds throughout the day every day. Yes we had to pay double for aircon as we had a duplex which had 2 units so couldnt complain as we knew beforehand. Hired a car from Greekstones and they delivered and picked up the car from the hotel, no issues and really easy to book online. We would definetly recommend getting a car for a few days to explore the island, so much to see.
