Stravování výborné , všeho dostatek a jídlo doplňovali pravidelně. Večer animační programy. Byli jsme ubytováni v části jen pro dospělé i s bazénem, takže klid bez dětského ječení - super. Na pláži lehátka i slunečník zdarma. U hotelu zastávka autobus do hlavního města Kos jezdil několikrát denně. Procházkou asi 10 minut dojdete do menší vesničky , kde jsou hospůdky a pá obchodů.

Admittedly, my review is somewhat of a contradiction… Great stay, but some real pitfalls, so I will try to be as open and honest as possible. Positives are always a good place to start… We had an absolutely beautiful holiday; we loved the spacious layout of the resort grounds, it didn’t feel overcrowded, we never struggled to get loungers or a space at the pool and thought the food was really good overall. Yes, like most all inclusive resorts, it can get busy in the main dining area and unfortunately you will get those people who lack spatial awareness and/or allow their small children to treat the restaurant like a zoo - but that shouldn’t reflect in the hotel. Staff within the restaurant were always very helpful with finding tables to accurate all party sizes. The resort is practically on the beach, where there are beautiful sunsets and lots of loungers. The beach bar is close enough that you could still make use of your all inclusive drinks and walk across to the beach which was handy. Plenty of pools of all different depths which was great for us having children of different ages. And a football pitch onsite, which is great for your little football mad fans. Now, the not so great points… The cleanliness - it had a lot to be desired. We were in an upper floor swim up room and the room was in terrible shape - curtains hanging off the rail, stained bed, dirty bathroom, really not good at all. In hindsight, I could (and perhaps should) have gone to reception on the first day - we possibly would have been moved. But, we wanted to stay in a swim up room of which we knew there were no more available… So the cleanliness was the compromise unfortunately. There were other areas around the site that we could see weren’t cleaned too - infact, on one evening, we saw two cleaners in the gym, one on her phone, the other having a nap, before standing and filling in the ‘cleaning timesheet’ to say cleaning had been complete. Better still, it was 8pm at the times and they had ticked right through to the next day. Location… If you’re anything like my family, we do prefer a resort that you’re able to go for a walk to a smallish resort centre. However the hotel had very little in walking distance. We knew beforehand that Marmari centre was only small and around a 20 minute walk away, but there’s practically nothing there. No problem, we can get a taxi to nearby resorts we thought… Wrong! Taxis were a real issue. We booked one with reception one evening and waited 45 minutes but it never showed. We booked again via reception the next afternoon (for that evening) which did arrive, 20 minutes after the time we had booked (no problem, we hadn’t booked a table anywhere) into Kardamena. But, getting back was hard work! The alcoholic drinks weren’t the best at all. To be honest, it didn’t bother me as Iam not one to drink a lot anyway, but the odd cocktail when on holiday doesn’t go a miss. The cocktails were awful. All poured from bottles and not great tasting at all. Bites! Our party of 7 were all bitten ALOT! We thought maybe it was just us, until we were sat at the main reception on departure and just about everybody that passed were covered in bites. We also heard a few guests, whilst in reception, bring up the cleanliness of the respective rooms (one mentioned that he’d been to reception twice as his room was full of ants and nothing had been done). Quite a few guests mentioned that the were waking each morning to new bites, leading many to believe they were being bitten in their rooms. Bites can and do happen in a lot of foreign countries, but I suppose, many places have a firmer grip on how they respond. Even with the downfalls, honestly, we had a really lovely holiday. If the cleanliness of this hotel were improved, it would be practically perfect (and a few minor adjustments to the drinks!)
