Amazing and some view the service was great has an amazing time

Spent a week at Almyrida Beach hotel, have been to almyrida on several occasions staying in apartments and was initially spinous about staying in a hotel but boy was I wrong! We went as a family of 5- myself, husband, teenager and two elderly 80+ parents. What a lovely hotel! Amazing friendly, smiling staff nothing too much trouble! Rooms spacious and extremely clean, almost sound proof doors so no disturbances from outside noises even in the room on the road side. The breakfast is probably one of best selections I have seen at a buffet breakfast. Plenty fresh fruit, freshly made crepes, waffles and pancakes, hot cooked selection with eggs, cooked ham, omelette etc, cereals and fresh breads daily! 😋 Only down side was we paid extra for our elderly parents to have a sea view room so they could sit on balcony and watch world if didn’t want to go out but the bathroom was so unsuitable for them, the shower was over a very high bath stuck in a very dark corner with limited accessibility even for me as a very able person! Luckily one of the other rooms we had booked (road view) had a walk in shower so they were able to swap to that room but sadly they lost the beautiful view. The resort itself is such a laid back row of tavernas with dotted supermarkets in between. We spent most days down by the beach, sun loungers at Costanita were €6 each per day these had a toilet about 30 yds away across a small road, bottle of water provided, parasols, and waitress service of any food/drink you want to buy. And the sea is beautiful especially for young kids as shallow for a long distance! We did try and use the hotel pool one day but despite their advertised ‘no reserving of sun beds’ it still happened and beds were limited anyway and with the two hotels using it they went very quickly! This did not bother us as we were quite happy heading down to the beach. We would definitely recommend the Almyrida Beach hotel as somewhere to stay and would use it ourselves again.

- we stayed in the Almyrida Residence (where we have often visited) which is one of three sister hotel all located in close proximity in this lovely seaside village - the rooms have a walk-in shower and the cleaning staff do an amazing job throughout the hotels because everything is spotless - the staff are all so smiley and friendly - guests staying at the Residence enjoy having breakfast on the roof top terrace which also has an affinity pool which is ideal for swimming lengths - evening meal which is a buffet is good value for money and guests can choose the eat outside next to the pool of the Beach Hotel - beach areas are very safe and have plenty of good sand (not the gritty type that we've had at other locations west of Chania) and sun loungers - newcomers to the island will appreciate a trip into Chania using the local bus service - those able can enjoy a stunning hike down the Samarie gorge from the Omalos plateau to the Libyan sea finished up in a picturesque village only accessible by sea!

Beautiful hotel right on the beach. Lovely clean room with a/c, fridge and hairdryer. Great to eat outdoors at dinner and breakfast. We had a super holiday in Almyrida! Just a couple of slight improvements: the beach area where the sunbeds are could be raked every evening with any rubbish removed. The sunbeds on the beach were a fab bonus though. Also more entertainment in the evening would be appreciated 👏

Just back from a wonderful fortnight in Almyrida. We stayed at the Beach hotel but you can use the facilities in any of the hotels in the group. We spent a lot of time in the upper pool bar, particularly during cocktail happy hour 🍸 The rooms are kept spotlessly clean by the amazing housekeeping team, who also leave a lovely welcome on the bed when you return from a “hard day” on the beach. One improvement could be a sturdier shower curtain, as water does escape quite easily. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and the bar service was excellent. As some reviewers have noted, yes, there is a car park close by (great for us because we hired a car to explore a bit more of the island) but we did not find it noisy. Yes, the room furniture is basic, but the bed is spacious, there is a fridge, kettle and hairdryer and overall we thought it was very good value for money. Thoroughly recommended.
