Cook's Club Ialyssos Rhodes

My friend and I visited cook’s club for 6 nights and our stay was amazing. We spent a lot of time at the hotel because of the great vibes from the staff ( Nicos, Mike and Andreas were exceptionally welcoming), not only that but the food was amazing and the rooms were perfect. *For reference we booked the bungalow on the ground floor. The hotel has different events every night/day, this only goes to show how nice the stay at the hotel itself already is. We will 100% be coming back :)

We booked for 10 nights as a family of 4. The hotel is modern, clean and has good atmosphere. Our room fitted us all in reasonably well and we were pleased to find the two single beds were a proper size rather than just sofa beds. The main bed was large and comfortable. We lacked some storage but I suspect that’s because we were 4 adults. The room had all adaptors in the plugs, coffee machine, kettle, hairdryer and a phone plus strangely one next to the toilet. We had a fresh supply of bath towels and beach towels. My kids both used the gym each morning which they liked. The one down side was the size of the fridge and that it had no freezer compartment. It was also not that cold. I did ask them to look at it and someone came straight away but it was still not that cold. The room aircon was perfect. The pool was beautiful but at times the music was overwhelming. There was also never a problem getting a sun bed or bean bag which was refreshing. The pool bar had a great selection of food and drinks with the larger menu closing at 7pm and then just offering a smaller range of options after hours. The food is generously portioned, fresh and tasty. The menu is great value too with a chicken burger and wedges about 11 euros. We also ate in the in house restaurant which was located on a terrace above the reception. The food was more expensive than the local restaurants and was reasonable value but the menu was a bit limited. The breakfasts were lovely with a good range of options including granola, seeds, nuts raisins, dried fruit, fresh fruit, honey and preserves plus yogurt and continental options. There is also the usual cooked breakfast, pancakes (on some days) and fresh bread and cakes. It also includes a good variety of milks (oat, soya etc) plus ice so you can make your own iced coffees. I would say it can be slightly repetitive if staying for more than a week but the quality was excellent. There is a small shop on site run by a very sweet mother and daughter. It has a good range of drinks, snacks, souvenirs and clothes etc. it is fairly expensive but convenient. There is a large supermarket about a 10 minute walk away which sells everything you could need. There are a few local restaurants we would recommend. Rosemarys, Yiannis Bar and Grill and the restaurant next to this but I can’t remember the name of it. Taxi back from town was about 10 euros

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, good vibe, aspiring to an Ibiza atmosphere. Breakfast good, close to small supermarket, food in the Italian and Asian restaurants was good too. Usually got a sun lounger, at our preferred pool, but not always. The beach is easy to get to and pretty good. Shout out to Gracy, he is a great bar tender. The only downside was the hotel is a bit isolated and Kolymbia limited. Would go back.

We are still at the hotel right now but we are sad to be leaving today so I thought I would write a review. We’ve had an excellent experience here and we will definitely be recommending to others. If you are looking for a hotel with fun yet relaxing vibes this is the perfect place. The food price in the hotel is good value as portion sizes are very generous. We were also celebrating my boyfriends birthday and received a bottle of wine upon arriving. Also if your a cat lover you will meet a lot of furry friends around the hotel.

Such a lovely hotel! Staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We were two friends travelling together and mid 40’s so thought we would be the oldest there, but whilst it is primarily younger couples / friends there we didn’t feel old. The food is fantastic and the lunch / dinner meals were reasonably priced with massive portions! No issues with sun beds, it got busy in the afternoon but always options (sun beds or bean bags). There are tavernas around and beach (pebbly) is about 10/15 min walk away. If you’re looking for a big nightlife then be prepared to get a taxi to Rhodes town (about €25).
