Cook's Club Ialyssos Rhodes

My husband and I are just home after a really lovely few days away at Cooks Club Ialyssos. This hotel is absolutely immaculate, the staff can't do enough for you, they genuinely are the nicest, friendliest group of staff we've ever come across. The hotel is a little off the beaten track but were young , fit and healthy and with the help of Google maps we were able to navigate our own way to the beach and the local town, which was about a half an hour walk. However the hotel will order you a taxi no problem. We used the Prestige shuttle service found at reception to book a return transfer into Rhodes town, which I would definitely recommend, Rhodes town it's absolutely stunning, alot of walking involved so wear sensible shoes. We booked a bungalow room which was beautifully kept and very clean and spacious. The food and cocktails were delicious, plentiful and very good value for money. We will definitely be back, we have recommend it it to friends and family already.

Visited last week for my cousins's hen do - what a great choice! The reception staff were very helpful both before and during our stay, helping to arrange for us to use the poolhouse big screens for hen do activities one of the evenings so we wouldn't disturb other guests. The beds were comfy, the pool area was stunning (the bean bags were a real treat), and the aunties' suite also had a private jacuzzi! The breakfast had a great selection - we had 3 vegetarians in our group and there were plenty of options. We also had dinner on our first night - the portions were huge but I couldn't leave a single bite! I would 100% recommend staying here.

Such a nice hotel, the staff are really friendly and make your holiday 100x better. Dio, dora, billy, Artemis and savis are the best!!!! We are coming back just because of the staff ♥️♥️♥️♥️ they have all made us feel at home and gave us the best experience.

!!ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW!! The hotel- A hidden gem, from the road it looks like a s*hit hole but wow it is beautiful. Very aesthetically pleasing, plenty of photo opportunities if you love Instagram like me (haha). This hotel would do so well all inclusive and that’s the let down. You are under no illusion when bookings it’s breakfast only however, it can get pricey being here due to this. On site shop which has basically everything, saving grace but definitely pricey we spent on average a day €9-10 in the shop on snacks, drinks as it was cheaper than the pool bar at times. The room- Fabulous. We booked the private whirlpool/garden rooftop room and loved it. Fresh towels/robes and slippers daily was a lovely touch. We had our own coffee machine also but I believe from speaking with others not all rooms had this luxury- see pics Great for couples including LGBT- lots of same sex couples here so if you’re a homophobic individual- don’t come. Very comfortable & safe. Everyone is so nice, we made friends which was lovely as largely with it being an adults only hotel I guess people are more inclined to socialise/mingle which if you don’t like that, again don’t come. However, overall a very diverse hotel lots of variety of humans including the older gen and we all had a ball. It was just a vibe ok, we loved it :) Location- 100% recommend hiring a car as taxis are expensive around €23 each way so €46 daily to and from Rhodos old town. Falaraki/ Lindos are around 1hr away so again hiring a car is ideal as would cost a fortune in a taxi, unless you booked a trip but there is no need to with a car it is a straight run. There is a lady who bases herself in the hotel 08:30-11:30-18:30-23:30 daily to rent a car and I must say couldn’t believe how cheap it was around €30-35 a day (depending what car) but if you block book, for example we done 3 days she gives you a good discount petrol/ insurance all in. You are far out from everywhere here so the old town is the closest to go for evening. The food/ drinks- Pool bar, plenty of options including vegan/veggie/ Gluten free. A little pricy around €11 for a ceaser salad, Chicken Gyros was the cheapest €8.50 but prices vary for what you want so daily it all adds up. However, portion sizes here are huge and we ended up sharing food because we wasted so much as they pack the plate (see pics). We were not a fan of the hotel restaurant, considering the pool bar offer a wide range and much nicer food of a day, the evening menu upstairs was very underwhelming and over priced. The vibe it gives is classy, Al la carte but it did not hit anywhere near that, we actually got ill one evening from the meal we had there so we didn’t go back. Breakfast was ok (for me) all your usual eggs, bacon, sausages etc etc. I am not a fan of hot breakfasts, I tend to eat a lot of yogurt/ nuts/ fruit etc but they had all that which was nice. Coffee was lovely. Drinks are all good, no real issues both alcoholic and non alcoholic are nice. Lots of choice for cocktails, only let down was they told us they couldn’t change an ingredient we wanted lemonade instead of sparking 0.0% wine for our non alcohol cocktail and was told no. I can only assume because they use bottles/cans of lemonade rather than draft. Again slightly pricey around €11-€14 a cocktail €4+ for soft drinks Go visit CANTON Chinese restaurant 8 minutes walk (turn left out of hotel) bloody beautiful 10/10 and the cheapest nicest meal we had €32.50 for a meal to share, fried rice, fries, spring rolls and two drinks- see pics! The cats- ask the reception for cat biscuits/ bowls they will provide. They are well looked after here at the hotel & a little family, such cutie pies. (I am a cat person) but if you’re not don’t be nasty to them, they are really friendly and grateful when you feed them. The homeless cat’s off site is a real issue and very sad :( if in the position please go to the local super market (plenty around) about 4-8 minutes walk away both left & right out of the hotel. Purchase cat food (wet for hydration) and leave on side of road for them, you will often see as they cry and follow you to help them :( you wouldn’t leave a human like or a dog in that position so why a cat. Also very heartbreaking you may see a few de*d ones which is brutal. Overall- I would recommend. It was value for money (for us) as we did come out of season however, I don’t know if I would pay anymore than we did to come here in season as we spent more than we budgeted due to how expensive it was each day funding food/snacks/drinks. There was no entertainment as advertised on the site ( DJ from 1st May- we never seen this, very quite hotel and nothing to do of a day or evening. The police showed up once when they turned the music to loud at the pool bar lol. Hiring a car was not initially planned either but after a few days of taxis we had to due to the price of taxis to and from and wanted more freedom to explore as there’s not much around the hotel and the bus for some reason never showed for us we once waited 45 mins and resorted to a taxi. So longs you know all this and are prepared to spend a lot then definitely come here. If you got this far, congratulations.

My partner and I visited Cooks Club Ialysos to celebrate his birthday at the end of April, and overall, it was a lovely experience. We stayed in a bungalow that was separate from the main hotel rooms, and it was absolutely beautiful. The interiors were decorated to perfection and the room was spotless. On my partner’s birthday, we were pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of wine and a card in our room. Mikaela, the manager, also delivered a birthday cake to us — a thoughtful touch that made the day even more special. The only downside was that the housekeeping team started cleaning rooms around 8am, which was a bit too early for us and disrupted our sleep on the first morning. Overall, the staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. We didn’t spend much time at the hotel beyond this, so we cannot comment on the other facilities.
