Cook's Club Ialyssos Rhodes

This is a difficult review to write because this hotel has bags of potential, and arriving at the end of season may not have helped our experience so bear that in mind. Pros: The hotel is clean, modern and well maintained. Gorgeous flowers and fruit trees throughout the grounds. Quiet and minimal noise when in room. Staff friendly. Nice pool area. The beanbags are a nice touch. Nice temperature in pool. Breakfast is fresh and I enjoyed each day. Cons: The shower. No screen or curtain, we needed to angle the shower head against the wall to avoid flooding the bathroom. Location. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere. The resort of Ialysos is a good 30-40 minute walk. Other than a couple of restaurants within a 5-10 minute walking distance, there is nothing around for miles. Lack of entertainment. Given the lack of nearby establishments to visit of an evening, there was a distinct lack of entertainment. This could be seasonal but we found the overall evening vibe to be boring. We visited mid-October so again this may be a seasonal grumble but the pool area was almost completely shaded by 3.30pm. Pool bar is expensive. Wasp problem. They're everywhere. Try and use the shower by the pool and you'll be joined by a dozen wasps. My friend was stung. Poor last day facilities. Room has to be vacated by 11am but the only option for showering is the afore mentioned wasp infested pool shower and a singular changing room. That's it. Ask to keep the room late and they apply a charge even though the hotel is half empty. Unfortunately I would not stay here again. It's too far outside the resort and there isn't much to do. When I come back to Rhodes, I'll be staying in Rhodes town.

Fantastic hotel with even better people working there. The hotel feels very luxurious and feels like a real retreat with the mountain in the backdrop of the pool! Room was very modern and comfortable. The food was really good value, with big portions on most of the items we ordered. The cocktails were really nice too, some super unique ones, all made with a lot of care! One of the highlights was the quiz night on the Wednesday, we had lots of fun... The only downside for us was the proximity to local bars and restaurants, however there is a bus stop that was 5 minutes away so was easy enough to get into the Old Town from there. We also did a trip to Lindos, which the reception helped us arrange. A big thank you to all the incredible staff for making the stay so enjoyable.

Absolutely amazing! The people were so lovely, the food was so good. Rooms are nice and clean and the pool was warm even though it’s October. We will definitely be coming back next year!

This Hotel is absolutely amazing ,just got back from 10 day stay and loved it . 1st few days we struggled with location a bit as we like to go out to bars and restraunts ,but once we found Tommies bar in kremasti and all the bars and restraunts in Iayalsos we felt more at home . Hotel its self is amazing though the reception staff ,the rooms the bar staff ,waiters waitress all work so hard to please you all the time . Live music around the pool is great ,we would highly recommend staying at this hotel ,we will definitely return 👍🏻

We had a fantastic stay at Cook’s Club Ialysos! The hotel has a lovely modern feel, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff were absolutely brilliant — friendly, helpful and made you feel right at home especially the bar/ restaurant staff they made our stay The food and drinks were great, the pool area was lovely, and the whole place had a really chilled but fun atmosphere. It’s a great choice if you want somewhere to relax during the day but still have a bit of atmosphere in the evenings. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend Cook’s Club Ialysos. We’d happily come back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
