It has been a nightmare dealing with the reservation dept of Dusit Laguna Singapore. I booked a room for this July with their web site. But due to change of travel plan, I emailed their reservation dept in Singapore to cancel the reservation which the staff there they would cancel it for me. After a week or so, I checked my reservation status & found I still have the reservation not cancelled even though their resection staff said they would cancel it for me. So I called the hotel to speak to their in-house reservation staff. Upon checking, the staff apologized and said she would for sure cancel my July reservation. However, on July 2, I got a notice from my bank stating Dusit Laguna had charged me 1 night rate for “no show”. I was so upset I emailed the hotel reservation dept with all the attached emails to show ad proof the entire frustrating process. Upon which the hotel emailed me and said they would process the refund to me through my credit card. Till this day I have not received the refund through my bank’s credit card I used for the reservation. This is a very Grave & very Serious NO NO on the part of Dusit Laguna Singapore! It has been a total nightmare! Dusit is a good brand. My wife & I enjoyed staying at the new Dusit Thani Bangkok last year. But the way Dusit Laguna badly handled the cancellation of my reservation & still charged me, and the slowness & the absence of the refund is highly unprofessional, and frankly very offensive & totally unacceptable!
